LSPDFR 0.3 - "Busted!"

Featured Replies

I have an idea - if you're dealing with an unarmed or knife wielding suspect, maybe the mod could make use of the nightstick as a non-lethal weapon. Say you hit the guy, and instead of just dying, he would get knocked onto his knees to be cuffed. This looks amazing, and a brilliant mod considering the dev time.

That is a really nice idea. I want to show my suspects some police justice beating without killing them.

  • Well we're still working away like mad on it, these updates are just our way of doing what everyone wanted - regular news on how development is going.

"Busted", yeah that's what happened to me when I read this.

And will the system of interrogation? It would be nice to know about it details

This will definitely lower the police brutality in San Andreas. Great job :-) Looking forward to new updates as usual!

I love reading these preview series, if this is the amount of new features implemented from 0.2 to 0.3, I get goose bumps just thinking about LSPDFR 1.0!

I have a question, when we perform an arrest without a weapon, will there be a chance for the suspect to run away or resist/fight back when we attempt to put on the handcuffs? Or this is a 100% safe procedure to perform so if the suspect didn't ran away when we stopped him, he will always comply with the arrest?

Of course it'll "lower" the police brutality.. yeah.
Remember you can push them down the stairs in the precinct.

I've never played it (or seen much of it) actually, but that does look pretty cool and similar.

TBH Hardline SP wasn't too shabby in my opinion. Now to the point, this feature will transform this mod into something else!! Question is, will we actually see handcuff models and SFX as well or not yet?

Something i really want to see changed is the arrest animation it seems to aggresive to arrest people i would love to see the animation we had in LCPDFR which was way more realistic and immersive it seems that this animation is not appropriate to use for arresting people who just stole candy at a gas station for example that´s just not necesary. Something else would be the backup system that needs a serious update because either you don´t get any backup unless you are pressing the button a billion times and if for some reason you do get backup that billion times you pressed will send a billion police officers to your location.

Handcuff models, yes.  SFX?  Maybe?  We've still not figured out how to play a lot of GTA V's audio natively so we have to play it from the files included with the mod.  I hate this for a number of reasons.

Yeah I understand. I will usually put an audio file over the handcuff animation in my videos anyway so that's no biggie. But thank you for the model!

So what will the process of literally throwing someone you arrest down a stairwell involve?

Great Progress Guys , thank you so much for your work here :-)

is it possible to make the AI Police cars and Backups stay at the scene to secure the area or whatever ...at least for a while , or as long as the player stays. I hate how they all crash into each other by leaving a crime scene :D

Like you, I'm also curious what the devs have up their sleeves for this. I already talked about this in another post and Sam said due to GTA: V's engine, it would get very complicated. I'm hoping for some form of interrogation even if it's very simple. I don't expect anything on the scale of LA Noire, Sam ;)

In 0.3 will there still be an issue when calling for backup, currently any backup you call for a pursuit will ram you off the road to go after the suspect? or maybe there isn't anything that can be done about that, just curious..
