What are your opinions on P.E?

Might as well share the 'P.E' I'm going to have to do for the next 3 years.

Monday morning, 8:00, lovely day, get to school, PE, FIRST LESSON.

Tuesday 2:00pm, tired, PE!

I honestly think the sole purpose of P.E in my school is to get kids to do the football club stuff, which nobody is doing.

And you may be asking, why don't you just say you don't like it? You can't, your given one warning, still don't do it and your parents are informed (idc bout that) and your sent to isolation. I remember a time in primary school when the purpose of PE was to have fun. :/

(will probably make this neater when I have access to pc)

Physical education, more like public humiliation...

mhm, and then the locker rooms in our school were tiny! Most people had to get changed right in the middle to breathe, luckily I haven't had to do that yet. At least we don't have to shower, because the shower, is even smaller!

I used to love PE, I used to do loads of sports like Fencing, Netball, Gymnastics, Rugby, Tennis, Badminton (all in class and extra curricular), but then the school stopped them all because the budget got cut and I just ended up being a freaking goal keeper for 90 mins a week in the compulsory lessons. That was just awful, now I just sit on my computer doing coursework and watching YouTube.

Actually, I very much enjoyed PE, except football. Fucking hate that sport, going to a school with many males who took it very seriously and me being a mediocre player made me feel bad. Otherwise it was very enjoyable, it introduced me to sports I would never otherwise play, and allowed me to realise my physical condition.

I think it motivated me more to take my physical fitness more seriously, and actually, in a nation such as the UK, where obesity is a serious thing, its a good way of getting the fatties to do their annual exercise.

Plus, coming from London, where some gang related violence is present, it allows kids with less academic focus (Ie don't give a sh*t about lessons) actually perform well in sports, and orientate their lives towards sports, something that they enjoy doing and keeping them away from a life of crime, and actually probably something they're very good at.

I think PE does a fair deal for a group of people, but yes, the changing rooms layouts definitely does need changing. Too small...

I took in a note pretty much every Thursday for two years which was the day we had PE, the note said I hate injured my leg and as such couldn't partake in the subject that day. It wasn't true though, I just highly disliked of P,E. Being forced to take part in sports I couldn't care less about. I'm not good a football, or really any sports, so I just winged it that I was injured. Luckily they never caught on, or didn't care.

🕵️‍♂️ Always watching, always waiting.

I enjoyed P.E. on gym day when we could play basketball, volleyball etc. so I could play basketball with my friends or in the weight room cause that allowed me to gain muscle, but I hated when we had to go on the track because it was just down right boring. My highschool only requires 1 year of it so I got it done my freshman year and then if you wanted to you could move on to other health classes. They also had it set up so you do three days in the classroom learning about health education and two days doing what I said above, overall I was happy I didn't have to do it any longer after that.

I loved physical education even though I was never good at any sport and damn we played a lot of sports (football, basketball, handball, volleyball, ping-pong plus a lot of made up games with any round object) in a high school focused on math and computer science. I liked the most doing actual physical exercises like gymnastics, sprint contests, long distance running and bodyweight exercises.

On the other hand girls in my school avoided P.E. like the plague, many of them would just sit on the side waiting for the hour to pass and a few smart ones got a notice from the doctor saying they can't do P.E. for some bs reason and never had to freeze their ass off outside at 8AM during winter. The school got wind of this practice though and made them do all sorts of boring chores during PE class so I'm not sure who was luckier in the end.

I absolutely hated it. I'm so glad I never have to go to a high school gym class ever again. It's been years since I've graduated from high school and my hate for gym is still the same.

What made it worse were the people that took it way too seriously, the same people that would yell at other people...they can piss off for all I care. I remember seeing people legitimately upset because their team lost. You're not in the NFL, so you can calm your tits. If you get that worked up over a high school gym class, god bless your heart you sweet summer child.

Runnings alright for me, since I'm generally quite good at that, but anything other than that... nope.

I hated PE, so much to the point where I got into shouting matches with my PE teachers. A lot of my hate for the class came to be because my class-mates were complete asshats who would purposely make it their mission to hurt you. One time, I believe this was in year ten, after a rather loud swearing match with one of those kids I simply walked out of the class and did my own thing until lunch time, no-one dared stop me.

I was so relieved come my final two years at high-school as I got to chose what sport I did if any at all.

unfortunately, 2 hours of P.E a week is mandatory. IS WALKING THE LONG WAY TO SCHOOL NOT ENOUGH? Ugh.

At my high school school we only had to do one semester(half the school year) of P.E. then the next semester we had to do health you could choose if your wanted it your freshmen year or later in high school. Then once you complete it you got to do whatever electives you want. But I didn't mine P.E. all we had to do is dress out and we would pass the class they would tell us to run but most of us walked anyways so I didn't matter. Some times would would do something called the BIG 18 and I hated it. Then the best day was Friday because we got to choose what we wanted to play/do basketball(I would shoot the ball with friends only sport I played), volleyball, bad mitten, soccer or walk around the balcony of the gym.
