Sure, but unless Prophet, or any of the other testing team says otherwise, use the last post they've mentioned. Prophet did say they paused development while they look into the whole carcols.ymt thing, and I imagine they might be exploring that. 

Bottom line with this thread, there will be no "set" release date. And when they're close to release, we'd certainly be seeing a bunch of hype posts to get us ready. This is a intensive mod, and I bet ELS took a long time to develop in IV, so I'd imagine it's going to to take just as long, regardless with how much they could use from IV.

That is called a wind-down tone.  It is generally up to the siren creators to implement this.

I have done this in my sirens in fact.

 

What are the keybindings like on ELS? Pretty much all my keybindings are taken and I didn't play GTA IV LCPDFR so I have no past experience with ELS and its controls.

also part of the reason ive made this question is to get the posts off of 666 ;)

Two things.  Can someone make a video of the control panel?  Will it be the same as ELS IV?

And, when it's released where will we see it, here?

We can only assume controls right now.

In ELS IV, J switches on your lights (stage 1), another press toggles stage 2, then another press toggles stage 3, and finally another press switches them off. Holding shift reverses it, so if you press shift + J while the lights are off, it'll go to stage 3.

G was the button to switch on the siren, although it would only work with the lights on (pressing and holding while they were off would sound the airhorn).

Im sure when their ready to release it they will announce it befor the release it might have a link on this page but im sure it will be on plugins but thats just my thoughts also if i was them i would stream it teaching us how it works and the futures im sure their going to do that. now we just have to wait and see when will it be released hopefully soon but no rush as it takes a long time to perfect this as like ELS for gta iv and everything changes all the time people study and come out with new stuff like recently carcols. but theis are just my thought from the info i have gathered following ELS and assuming. But @Albo1125 is on board now so might be soon, as he is known for delivering quality and fast plugins

Try to keep your excitement on a... low simmer, I guess I would say. Lt.Caine asked us to wait just a "little longer", that was in... August I believe? Correct me if I'm wrong. Perhaps we'll get ELS by the end of the year, or maybe sooner, but try not to get too hyped. It happened to me, and I'm burned out waiting. Just trudging along, checking this thread almost every day, except for my "break", always hoping but still waiting.

Yesterday I was looking at GravelRoadCops youtube channel.. looking at the ELS flashpatterns and demo's... Some of which were from early in the year....

Coming from my viewpoint, they have another tester, which means they are *trying* to see more bugs, therefore *trying* to push it out faster. If the beautiful work i saw in GravelRoadCop's videos were from early in the year, i *personally* believe that it should be coming hopefully soon.. and by soon i mean *maybe* it'll be a Christmas present for the LSPDFR community? We can only hope itll come out soon...

Well I've been waiting for this since LCPDFR came out for GTA 5. Honestly one of my favorite things about LCPDFR. I wont stop being excited for it how ever long it takes, because at least there IS a development going on for it!

I dont think he meant to just stop being excited. We are all excited. I think he just meant dont let your excitement be so high to where you are only focused on this, or you cant do anything until you get this. I took his message as we have been told "soon" many times, and its been more than what most of us would consider "soon", so maybe its time to lessen your excitement ("Try to keep your excitement on a... low simmer") and prepare for this to take a while longer.

Yeah. I was so hyped for such a long time that I was almost like a drooling dog... "must have ELS V! Nothing else matters! Gimme gimme gimme!" thus causing constant disappoint when it continued to not appear. So now I've tried to calm myself, not worry about it so much. Sure, I won't play GTA V until ELS V is out, no matter what, but it's not consuming my life any more.
