I know LSPDFR will not have everything on the first release and I'm okay with that I'm sure it will be awesome in any capacity.

1. Can / Will LSPDFR have a character save/customization page that we can save stats or load outs of our officers?  I think it would be cool to have several load outs/characters that we can switch between such as an LSPD officer v.s. Sheriff.

2. How will stats be recorded, before it was tracked by the LCPDFR webpage if you linked it but couldn't reset or anything else will there be an in game tracker that we can tie with our profile or keep it separate if we choose?

3. Can LSPDFR have a built in option to have in-game ranking system that you can work your way through the ranks from rookie - corporal - Sgt etc? 

​There won't be anything like this in the first version (other than a nice character customisation screen), and I don't really want to spoil our plans for later versions!

 

How long did it take to code your custom pursuit AI? Did you have to change a lot, or just tweak a few things here and there?

​An interesting question actually.  The custom pursuit AI is one of the things I spent the most time on during development, although it'd be hard to give an accurate estimate of how long it took to make, as it went through quite a few revisions and rewrites, although it was only just completed at the start of the week and had been in development since about a week after the first announcement.  This doesn't necessarily mean it is the best AI in the world, as developing things 2 weeks after the release of the game was pretty hard with so many unknowns.

​I'm very excited how the ai handels traffic stops, especially on the highway. When I think about LCPDFR it would end in total chaos to stop somebody at high speed while driving on the left lane of the freeway :-)

I know a lot of people are asking a lot of questions and making suggestions and for the most part, everything is really positive.  I'd like to take an opportunity to say THANK YOU for all the developing that you do (yes y'all, I am kissin ass cause well, lets face it, G17 and Sam deserve it).

Down to business, for future releases, I read that someone suggested that it'd be nice to be a back-up officer for a change, and my thought is +1,000,000.  What I mean by that is, yes, we all know that the AI, is DUMB and they do stupid stuff all the time, but they are at least 200% smarter then GTA IV.  With that said, it'd be nice to be rollin down the street on patrol and see that an AI has a person pulled over (please don't get all deep in coding over this) to where maybe a 1% chance that shots could be fired on said AI officer, OR you stop and the AI officer says, "hey I got this guy, he's got a warrant," or "everything is cool" etc.  I guess what I'm saying is, it'd be nice to have something MORE close to reality that IRL officers deal with.  I know LC was a shit engine to play with, but I think that LS is much more stable, and should be able to handle a hell-of-a-lot more.

I look forward to seeing the first release of LSPD:FR!  I am definitely on the HYPE TRAIN, next stop "LOS SANTOS POLICE DEPARTMENT!"

​LSPDFR is not supported in GTA Online, as no official scripthook will work in GTA Online.

​At this time the conversations around LSPDFR and online is,

1. Most likely not on GTA O servers as R* has said NO (for the most part)

2. There are modders out there that have been working on modding GTA V as GTA SA was. The thought is, GTA SA (or MTA/SAMP) was a modification of SINGLE PLAYER that made MP access.  So, it seems that since R* doesn't care that SP is modded, people are thinking (I could be off base here) that Modding SP to MP for private servers, R* wont care.

I can't imagine the first release being really far off now but a few questions I would like to ask that I'm curious about:

1: Will you be able to force duty like you could in LCPDFR? As far as I know there was a command that you had to type in console if you wanted to skip getting to the police station and character customization.

2: Will the world events like pursuits, traffic stops, as well as drunk and disorderly conducts that were in LCPDFR happen in LSPDFR throughout San Andreas?

​I don't think that the first version of LSPDFR will have an API. It would be great actually but I doubt it. Maybe our holy Sam can help answering this question. :P

I think a gerneral rankign system would not be too good. I dont want bigd-contests or something like that. Also you have a higher variety of Rp if you can switch between duys that would normaly be rank-restricted (such as supervisor, undercover, or specialised units) with out ranking up for them.

However a rank up system will probably bee a nice feature too. Probably in a way that you can decide if you want to have it on or off. Ranks could in deed be a nice Rp-feautre and maybe an additional motivation. However it has to be setted up in a carefull way; if you would decide to have ranks at all, you would need to regard clans etc. who might want make their own choiches in terms of promotions and such. I mean MP is unfortunaly not a thing so far but i heared the 5M team and probably some independent modders are working on private multiplayer sessions. But well yeah.. that could take some time. Also i dont think that the rank system is the number one priority. Keep on going and focus on the essential stuff. All the fine settings are a  nice bonus for later on.
