  1. Agreed with everything you say, however, like I stated in my original post, things differ from agency to agency, not to mention era to era. I was taking issue with the statement "police shows" and not the Adam-12 part.
  2. Generally you are right, however, the reason they use "Code 2" as explained in most cases as, LIGHTS, no SIREN is because it's an active scene (i.e; active silent alarm) and the officers responding don't want the suspect to know they are enroute. When talking response codes: (most of US, however can vary by state and county) Code 1 is normal patrol ("respond code 1" means still respond, but non-emergent, and follow normal traffic laws) Code 2 is generally used for GET THERE QUICK but SILENT. (Lights NO siren) Code 3 is, GET THERE!!!!! (LIGHTS and SIREN) I also draw issue with (not trying to start a debate) "police shows", y'all should keep in mind, that's HOLLYWOOD!, hell, if you pay attention, 90+% of the "COPS" don't wear vests under their tops as everyday cops do. Hollywood is not a true representation of real police, so PLEASE keep that in mind when you use POLICE SHOWS as an example unless it's COPS (formerly on FOX, now on SPIKE).
  3. I am not advocating this by any means, however, I am sure there are people out there that have/will supply a way for LSPDFR to work online (hence all the hackers that we see in GTA O). With this being said, I DO NOT ADVOCATE THIS as R* CAN STILL KICK/BAN/STAT WIPE any and all ONLINE accounts they see fit.
  4. I'm sad,,, even though I know that Sam and all the other devs are working their asses off to get us the best possible mod they can for this initial release, I still want it YESTERDAY!!!!! PLEASE Sam,,, another video so that you can drop some more of that CRACK that y'all call LSPDFR into our veins?
  5. ineseri- All respect intended, but there is nothing (as of June 12, 2015 17:37 PDT) in the link that specifically says that a person may not publicly advertise clan recruitment. With that being said, I understand and respect that you don't have a specific placement for clan/community advertisements, and I will continue to NOT publicly advertise through posts (please lock this thread so no other replies may continue). According to your own terms the following is stated; "Spamming & Advertising We expect all posts, messages and other forms of communications to be relevant to the particular G17 Media project or service that they originate from. Content which we deem to be irrelevant or otherwise undesirable to the discussion or project in question will be removed, with warnings or other disciplinary measures being issued following for repeat violations of this policy. As part of our commitment to encouraging a welcoming and lively environment throughout all of our services, we forbid most forms of advertising. We do, however, exempt the following pages and circumstances from this policy: Member profile pages.Member post signatures.Links to related resources or files which are relevant, and provide a valuable addition, to the subject matter at hand.Any page or other communications channel where exemptions are given."Therefore, my advertising in my signature is not a violation of the rules. Thank you to everyone that has assisted me in answering my question. And as always, THANK YOU G17 for what you are doing to bring us the hype of LSPDFR and much more.
  6. At this time the conversations around LSPDFR and online is, 1. Most likely not on GTA O servers as R* has said NO (for the most part) 2. There are modders out there that have been working on modding GTA V as GTA SA was. The thought is, GTA SA (or MTA/SAMP) was a modification of SINGLE PLAYER that made MP access. So, it seems that since R* doesn't care that SP is modded, people are thinking (I could be off base here) that Modding SP to MP for private servers, R* wont care. *All statements are my belief of what my research has found. If I am wrong in my belief, I apologize now. I do not speak for R* nor the modding community.
  7. I was wondering where someone posts messages saying that their GTA V Community is recruiting?
  8. Sam- I know a lot of people are asking a lot of questions and making suggestions and for the most part, everything is really positive. I'd like to take an opportunity to say THANK YOU for all the developing that you do (yes y'all, I am kissin ass cause well, lets face it, G17 and Sam deserve it). Down to business, for future releases, I read that someone suggested that it'd be nice to be a back-up officer for a change, and my thought is +1,000,000. What I mean by that is, yes, we all know that the AI, is DUMB and they do stupid stuff all the time, but they are at least 200% smarter then GTA IV. With that said, it'd be nice to be rollin down the street on patrol and see that an AI has a person pulled over (please don't get all deep in coding over this) to where maybe a 1% chance that shots could be fired on said AI officer, OR you stop and the AI officer says, "hey I got this guy, he's got a warrant," or "everything is cool" etc. I guess what I'm saying is, it'd be nice to have something MORE close to reality that IRL officers deal with. I know LC was a shit engine to play with, but I think that LS is much more stable, and should be able to handle a hell-of-a-lot more. I look forward to seeing the first release of LSPD:FR! I am definitely on the HYPE TRAIN, next stop "LOS SANTOS POLICE DEPARTMENT!"
  9. I would love to try this, however, I am afraid of cross script/mod incompatibility.
