Officer shooting man as he runs away

Featured Replies

The shooting was not justified, though I don't consider this a tragedy. A criminal off the street in any means necessary is always a good thing.

The funny thing is that the criminal in this case is the cop. So its not a tragedy that the cop will spend a very long time in prison for the murder he committed.

This what justice looks like, people. When the powerful are held to the same standard as the rest of us.

  • Agreed. And for people who would defend this cop, I'll just leave that here:

I can see that you're angry. I'll just report you and let the mods deal with it. Good day!

He ran from law enforcement. It doesn't take a genius to understand that fleeing from the Police is illegal. He broke the law, and that's one less criminal on the streets. You should really start thinking before you make ludicrous claims as you just did. It's amazing how an act of Police brutality against a criminal gives people this retarded idea that the criminal deserves to be mourned and idolized. Go tell the guy you feel for him, I'm sure he'll appreciate it. A bad job by law enforcement is never something to be idolized, but a criminal off the street is always something to be happy about.

I'll lock this topic down for a moment, as a flame-war is about to ensue. The topic will probably be unlocked soon, but for now, the Community Team is looking into the situation.

Thank you ineseri.  The arguements was not the purpose of this thread.

For all reading this, the purpose of this thread was to inform you all around the world that this is a topic now in the US, since Im assuming outside news sources probably would care about it.

Let's keep it civil!

Hopefully there never needs to be a topic like this again!

Hey, you know you never actually mentioned how you felt about this situation. I think the officer was wrong for shooting this man, and should be punished accordingly.

I just want to know why the guy took off in the first place. I in no way condone this shooting, nor do I support the officer at this point. But I want to know what happened that caused the man to start running in the first place. If I am right in thinking, his taking flight is committing a felony at that point, but I am not sure, so correct me if I am wrong.

This is what I want to know too. He was pulled over for a broken tail-light so what happened between then and the shooting? How did they up in the park?

I believe he had gone to jail a bunch of times before for failing to pay child support. So I'm guessing he had warrants for that and didn't want to go back to jail, so he resisted

i will also agree that this was a case of extreme use of force. keep in mind we do not know the whole story..so like others i am going on what has been presented so far..on a side note, this has nothing to do with the President. bottom line.
