Godaddy Super Bowl commercial sparks outrage

Featured Replies

A recently released commercial about a lost puppy and a dog selling website has sparked outrage to many people. The reason is because the commercial is accused of promoting animal abuse and considered offensive to animal lovers everywhere, there is currently a petition taking off on change.org to help ban the commercial.

Thoughts?

What is my opinion? I see NOTHING wrong with the commercial, it was supposed to be humorous, I swear people have no sense of humor whatsoever.

If that's supposed to be funny then I must not have a sense of humor because I thought it was extremely stupid.

That was one of the driest "funny" adverts I have ever seen.   Was it offensive by any means? No, it wasn't and it doesn't deserve to get banned. Was it stupid and unfunny? Yes, definitely, but it j

To be honest, yeah I get its trying to be funny, but it kinda failed at doing so, to others it was hilarious.

Was it offensive by any means? No, it wasn't and it doesn't deserve to get banned. Was it stupid and unfunny? Yes, definitely, but it just falls in with all the other shitty adverts on TV.

Maybe I just don't like American humor.

Go-daddy commercials have always been on the sorta stupid side, and the "scandalous" side. They're basically playing up what Carls Jr does by being so outlandish that you can't help but watch. However instead of girls I guess they're going for puppies? I guess? No idea, just mindless trash In my books that everyone should ignore but most decided to grab pitch forks about.

It's an ad for a sports game show that the audience usually consists of people  drinking a glass or two of beer (not poking fun at America or the audience, just true) and it grabs attention and makes everyone laugh, even if it wasn't funny, we're still talking about it. That's how advertisement works, sadly.

I think regardless of how dumb something is, banning it isn't the best idea. 1) it's unamerican and violates the 1st amendment and 2) you can learn more from airing the commercial and dealing with the hate rather then just sweeping it under the rug and pretending it never happened.

I totally agree, GoDaddy wont learn from their mistakes. Next year they might have a really stupid even more debatable commercial that would spark outrage from even more people.

The majority of the video is stupid. But the puppy flying out of the truck? I lost my shit. Could not control my laughter at how high it went. Sorry. I'm going to hell I know.

The SPCA was saying that buying a puppy online promotes animal abuse from a segment of a news report I watched.

Cheers.

This is just sad. You want funny?

I'm sitting in my school's library for study hall; you do not know how hard it was to contain my laughter when I saw this. When they punched the koala, I almost got yelled at for being too loud because I lost it. hahaha

I saw nothing wrong with it. It wasn't funny to me, but I see nothing wrong here. Can't please everyone.

What IS funny is that the more people complain and whine about the commercial, the more money and popularity they gain. This is what they want, and we're drowning in it. People need to stop getting so political over petty shit like this.
