Forget adding features like coffee cups, boat patrols.. ect lets work on getting the game to work well before we venture off into things we don't really need.

Work on stability of the game, that should be the main focus. Work to eliminate crashing. Make this your top priority. I understand this may be an incredible task, I heard someone say that rock star could fix the game if they wanted to go line by line and fix the code or something to that effect... maybe a group of people in the know could start this.

Next Id work on the game AI. Especially Ambulances... or give us the option to turn them off. I have removed them from my game because of the annoyance they cause, or I move them to another spot and use the coroner script to call them out when needed.

Or work on vehicles driving around the police car when it is conducting a traffic stop... Or when it has its lights activated. Not sure if its justme but in single player my game seems to be doing that a little better.

Some other features Id like to see, turn all voices off, especially law enforcement... personally I get tired of "pull over asshole" or "your driving like your drunk" ect... I went into the voice files and removed all that myself. Its great when your roll playing when you don't have to hear dumb one liners constantly.. Especially when your pulling someone over. On a traffic stop there is no talk, and it feels more like your really stopping a car instead of sounding like you have road rage.

An in game dispatching system would be nice.. I got tired of waiting for someone a decent one so I created my own out of game system using a web page and html. It allows me to give back random information at varying degrees.. for example I can make it to where people come back  wanted more often or less often, ect.

I will include a pic what I made.

In my clan we like to have humans playing civilians/criminals... when they set up a scenario they send the dispatcher a msg on windows live, this simulates the dispatcher receiving a phone call... the dispatcher then assigns the call and calls it out over the radio to officers.

Not sure if its out there.. give officers the ability to walk.. I don't like running back and forth to a suspects car on a traffic stop.. real life officers don't run everywhere all the time... in single player you walk unless you specify that you want to run.. so I would think it would be possible to do it in multi player.

Is there a simple way to rename cars to their real life names? I don't like stopping a burrito.. when in real life its a gmc van, or what ever. When im dispatching if an officer tells me that he is pulling over a burrito I think he is getting lunch or being a wise guy and stopping a Mexican or

I do however understand when he says he is stopping a dark blue 2 door Chevy Camaro... My temp solution to this is to just have officers  call in generic descriptions.. such as a Blue 2 Door Sports Car, or a Red 4 Door SUV, ect.

I use an ALP program to get plate numbers for stopped vehicles.. that's it only purpose, we ignore any  "hits' it gets, we leave it off until we stop a car, then we activate it to get a license plate number to give to dispatch... A program like this integrated into lcpdfr would be nice.... something that shows a random plate number and a real life name of the car stopped... make it to where we can configure names of cars.

Something that eliminates all graffiti and garbage/trash including all rusted out cars, magazines on the ground, trash in the water.. my city I want to play in don't look like the slums.. I have considered going thru the game myself and doing my best to get rid of as much of this as I possible can.. not only would it improve the beauty of the game, or would probably pick up a few frames and run better.

Another idea I made myself was renaming all the streets to easy to pronounce names from the city I live in. I also made patrol districts and color coded them on the big map and the mini map.

I also got tired of trying to find ways to dispatch officers to specific locations or officers try to give their locations on stops, calls chases..ect.. So I created an address system.. every building, location gets a unique address... so for example I can dispatch officer to a residence for a domestic disturbance at 606 Grand Ave.. and they know excately where to go..

In my game we turn blips and game tags off.. so you don't know  where officers or real players playing bad guys are... if your not paying attention you could walk right past a suspect hiding in a bush..

Maybe you guys could build on something like this make it even better.. I will include a sample of my map.

Each section is a separate area we patrol Granite City IL which is Alderney.. its broken into a total of 5 Districts.. Adam, Boston, Charles, David, and Edward.. the other main land masses are different city's.

Officers always know when they are in their district just by looking at the mini map.

I got others ideas for creating a more real experience.. that's just a few ideas for starters.

Stability isn't a major issue as most stability problems are cause by people using too many mods. most of your "issues" you have discussed can't be fixed by devs since it's a problem with the game itself (more specifically the AI) so there isn't much Devs can do. Also some problems could be caused by you removing files (such as speech) as LCPD:FR is looking for the speech file but can't, thus resulting in an error. Not to mention that you're using Multiplayer which is also not supported with LCPD:FR.

Also if you read LMS topic you'll know that they're not going to add anything like your suggestions as the devs main focus right now is to make LCPD:FR as stable as possible for GTA IV before the release of GTA V, any major features most likely won't happen.

I'm not asking anyone for anything.. the topic was for suggestions.. I'm throwing a few ideas out there that id like to see.

When I ask someone specifically for something I will ask them nicely and I will compensate them for their work.

I have to agree with Hystery. It seems that you are demanding the Dev team to make your changes happen.

It also seems like this is what you want. Not everyone wants the voices to be gone, not everyone whats the ambulances to be gone, not EVERYONE wants EVERYTHING you want gone, switched, or whatever. I do not agree fully with the ideas you came up with. Also you can walk normal by holding down the Alt key. That is as real as it is going to get. They cant just make them "walk normal" because that is how R* made them walk. The stuff your saying should be changed, fixed, and or made is just too much. You seem to not understand how coding and animating works. All this would require a lot of man power and time. You have to keep in mind that LCPD:FR is not a game, it is a mod for a game. Crashes are going to happen. You can't just change something that wasn't designed to be changed at all... The Dev team is working on LCPDFR as much as possible and are trying to improve it by adding new features like the coffee and the boat patrols. It isn't easy. I know you are aiming to help LCPD:FR become more realistic, but I mean, come on. It kinda seems like you are focused on these things because you want your clan to be the most realistic clan...

MODERATOR NOTICE
Moving to GTA IV Discussion as this really isn't a suggestion to LCPDFR, but rather a suggestion for a GTA IV overhaul.

Most of the things you've named aren't really feasible. LCPDFR 1.0d is as stable as it gets, try removing other mods if you wish your game to be more stable.

Changing the AI is not really possible, it is hard-coded into GTA IV.

Such a system is more suited for clans, something that we're not really aiming LCPDFR at. There are a few third-party MDTs in development though.

Walking is possible in GTA IV, use a controller.

Not sure what you mean with real-life names. If you pull over a Marbelle, it is a Marbelle in the game, unless you mod it. And even though you mod its appearance, it is still a Marbelle. For example, the Police Cruiser is not a Crown Victoria. It is a Police Cruiser (later retconned as Vapid Stanier). We do not support third-party mods, and as such no effort from our side will probably be made to detecting cars etc. LCPDFR is designed for a vanilla copy of the game, and always keeps this in mind.

An ALPR system is built into LCPDFR 1.0 :) Press "E" and activate the function when in a police car.

Most trash is part of textures and will require massive amounts of work, and this isn't pertinent to the LCPDFR modification.

Most streets have names. Again, this is way too big to do and isn't pertinent to LCPDFR. If you need backup, you can put a marker on your map and press "ALT+B" and  the backup will drive there with almost pin-point accuracy.

Turning off blips is something you can do with third-party mods, and in my opinion, LCPDFR relies on icons too much for it to be fun to turn them off.

Again, those are third-party modifications and isn't pertinent to LCPDFR

I am not a developer, but I am fairly certain this is the general consensus regarding a giant overhaul. LCPDFR is good as long as you don't add too much to it, not everyone may like new features that removes or adds major things. Everyone likes different things, and we try to please everyone by keeping LCPDFR as open to everyone as possible.

EDIT: As a few pointed out, a nice please is always cool :P We (Staff, Development and Management) do this for free, in our spare time. Most "payment" we get is "please and thank you". Never hurts! :D

Let me clear this up guys. It wasn't my intent to sound demanding or disrespectful I was just brain storming and throwing some suggestions/ideas out there, I'm sorry if I came off the wrong way.

I appreciate all the hard work and time the Developers have put into LCPDFR and continue to put into this project, they have done an amazing job. , my intent was to throw ideas out there in the hopes of inspiring changes that id like to see for the benefit of everyone, or maybe some suggestions on how I can achieve them.

Despite all the tweaks I've done to my game it runs more stable now than it ever has, I would just like to see it improved upon, sure I understand what we got now might be the best its going to get, and that's fine.. I don't blame the Developers I know they are working within the frame work they got, I get that.

And I know you cant please everyone... I greatly appreciate what they have given us.

So again, I'm sorry if I offended anyone with my initial post, that wasn't my intent guys, I think we all just want the same thing here, the best most realistic game we can get.

I don't want a realistic game, in terms of adding real-life cars to my game :P I keep it as close to vanilla as possible.

Unfortunately KevinDV your mistaken, especially given the circumstances, to begin with you all need to stop busting his balls, it's his constitutional right to voice his opinion, he has already stated twice, It wasn't his intent to sound demanding or disrespectful he was just brain storming and throwing some suggestions/ideas out there, to top everything off he apologise for any inconvenience. There are two outcome's for your negative attitude Mr. KevinDV, either your in denial or your to stupid to understand his paragraph, either way your in the worng good sir. acting like a smartass infront of my family isn't a good idea, I suggest you stand down at this point. in addition to your negativity how is our role playing clan trying to be the best even relevant? With all due respect, I think every lcpdfr role playing community set's that goal, Next time you reply make sure to invite common sense with you. ;)

First off, Just because you have 'family' on LCPDFR, doesn't mean shit to anyone. We couldn't give two shits about you or your 'family'. An opinion was stated by a member who has been around the GTA Police Modding Community since it started. I have been around since it started, way back in 2008.

Secondly, it is his constitutional right to voice his opinion; However, it's also should be a mandatory right to withhold stupidity: such as you are showing through your reply.

Also, Before you go throwing shit at other people and criticizing them, why don't you learn how to spell and capitalize properly if you wish to correctly and properly 'shit talk'. Next time you reply, make sure you invite Grammar and Literature to the party. Oh wait, don't forget about Dictionary!! He wants in the party too!

Unfortunately, Ajax101 you're mistaken, especially given the circumstances, to begin with you need to stop busting our balls, it's our constitutional right to voice our opinion, we already stated several times it sounded like he did order people to do that, without taking care of that it had already been asked or requested, and without putting the forms to ask or request it nicely, which is common sense as you say when it comes to voice something. There are two outcomes for your negatitive attitude, Mr. Ajax101, either you're in denial or you are too stupid to understand my paragraph, either way you're in the wrong good sir. Acting like a smartass in front of your family isn't a good idea, I suggest you stand down at this point. In addition to your negativity, how us acting in front of your family is relevant to the topic discussed here? Next time you reply, make sure to invite common sense with you ;)

See, I can do that too, it works all the same. Even though I bothered spelling words properly and having a proper grammar/punctuation. It helps when you try to sound convincing.

EDIT: Dammit, got ninja'd by Fartknockr for the grammar and punctuation part.

You're welcome to bring your incompetence as well as your family to my country, I won't be offering refunds when they get stolen though. It'd be best for you to inquire with your insurance as to whether or not they provide cover for stolen family members.

And none of these posts are related to the topic at hand. Considering this is going nowhere but downhill, I think it's time to lock this.
