Christmas Surprise Traffic Stop

I just saw this on my news-feed and thought it was quite something so I figured I'd share it here.

What do you usually expect when you're pulled over? A warning? A ticket? How about a Christmas present for you and your kids?

Also, that Explorer is damn nice.

I do love when the government do things like that. Next time, when a cop pulls over one of them for a minor violation, write an annoying ticket, ask to show an ID, they might think "Hell, these are the same guys that made my day and did a Christmas miracle for my kids, and I'll do the same for them and help them doing their job".

I always love seeing things like this. It is an uplifting experience when most of the time police encounters are for a negative reason. When I see LEOs do different things like this, and the officer in LA who pulled people over and gave them $100 for safe driving, can just make somebody's day so much better.

Yeah, I saw this on my feed as well. This one and the $100 dollar stops one. The people were amazed lol. This is the type of interactions police needs with the public more often. This probably does happen a lot more than people realize but all you hear on the news or see on Facebook are negative encounters. If that's all you saw about someone but knew them personally to be a great person, then the public would know no different and it would be frustrating.

I have to say that this is great, to see all the effort police departments (and the Sheriff's office/departments) are putting into community policing is just great. In my opinion, community policing is one of the most important, if not the most important thing for a department. If they do not have a good releationship with the community they're supposed to serve & protect, then how are they going to serve & protect?

Just warms my heart to see this :) (The snow added to the xmas spirit too)

And that Explorer, just love it!

Couldn't agree more. Our local police force is actively trying to encourage the community aspect of policing.

Awesome, we should see way more stories like this, it warms my heart to see positive stories like this about the police. :)

I thought this was related to LCPD:FR. Lol!

But that was nice. See cops aren't bad people. This reminds me of when a Seattle PD officer went to a call and realized the kids didn't have any beds, so he and fellow officers went out and bought beds for the kids.

I think that is pretty cool, they should do that in Ferguson although I think it still wouldn't make a difference

I think people would see that as a taunt. Not that it would be one, but they would see it as such, and at the end it'd make the situation even worse.

yea thats a great thing to see

This was a prank though, not a real thing.

this one is so f***ing funny. they are like wait....what?
