I prefer Windows 7, mainly because 1) i love Windows 7 2) it supports nearly all the games (including some older games that Windows 8 won't support) 3) I cannot for the life of me work my way around Windows 8.. especially the app page (i have had to fix both my parents and my sisters computers in the past.. they both run Windows 8, it was hell)

Also, i think Windows 7 is more gamer friendly.. and the only reason i use my computer is for gaming, internet and school work.

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

Those who have windows and refuse to convert to Windows 8.1 are committing a sin and should be punished. :D

No but like the new look of windows 8.1, but I would still use windows seven any day.

I prefer to use 7. My current computer has 8.1 and I hate it. When windows 10 comes out, I will start thinking of building a pc and getting it.

not even bad for wireless connection

I have no idea why anybody disliks Win8.1... Boot into desktop, install classic shell and you'll never have to see the metro UI. Also gotta love Win+X key combo for nice super-user features.

That said, I love me some Ubuntu or Debian virtual machines. Those that have the space should make themselves a Windows 10 virtual machine. It is probably going to be my favorite OS when it releases.

I prefer windows 8.1 because that is the operating system that my computer came with. I still can run gta 4 & lcpdfr so that is what makes me happy

I love Windows 7, it so simple to use. I absolutely hate the Metro UI, I think it looks really ugly and the whole idea of having to scroll side-to-side on a computer if its not touch screen makes me want to throw up!

I don't know why, but whenever I update to 8.1 from 8 my pc goes to shit( hard drive failure, unrepairable disk error, etc). So I'm just gonna stick with 8.0, wouldn't mind 7 though

I see people judging Windows 8 and 8.1 by the new Start menu (which I almost never need to use). I think it's a good system, and 7 isn't that bad either. But XP's interface and design will always be my favorite. Call me old-fashioned.

LMS OS™, which has the smallest kernel image out there since it directly boots into a command prompt only accepting assembler input ((E)IP points at the command's prompt output, that's what I call live development).

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

Fedora for Laptop. Debian for Server. Endless choice for anything else. Windows 7 for gaming and Adobe suite.

Before anyone bitches at me for not "upgrading" to 8.*... if it aint broke don't fix it. 7 is running fine. Do you replace your car every year because there is a new model out? No!

I prefer Linux but half the shit I absolutely need to have running these days are Linux incompatible (and WINE's useless for some)
