Awhile ago on a Vintage Cop Forum, A guy was selling his Chrystler 300 Unmarked car. I'm guessing it was a California Highway Patrol. They experimented with 300s and the lighting setup is very similar except for the blue dash light. Also, I heard back from the guy who had the Oregon State Police Fury awhile back, and he said he might sell it to a good home, but if not, he'll keep working on it. I hope he keeps working on it, because I'd buy it if I had the money lol.

That 300's speedometer is pretty awesome, Ringo. It's almost semi-spherical. The styling of that generation was always one of my favorite designs.

HighTower, the Malibu is fantastic - I love the single beacon lighting layout.

After II. WW Poland belong to the Soviets.

At this time police was called "milicja'' and not as usual ''policja''.

Some pics for you:

Fiat 125, one thing that the Eastern and Western bloc had in common. The Spanish Guardia Civil used to operate a similar model, Seat 124. It's not really common to see the speakers placed backwards, though...

Look at that Twinsonic, it's wider than the Seat itself...

@Ringo, that's some awesome find! Looks like what the legendary men in black would drive haha. Is everything original?

Boy that sure looks interesting. That Twinsonic is bigger than the car!

And the impression I got from the seller is that he believes that the car is almost completely original. He didn't know where the blue beacon light came into play. He said he was the third or fourth owner. He said the beacon light is period, but not sure if it was original to the car. That's about all he said and asked to contact if interested.

I love how some of the vehicles are more utility rather than flashy.  Must go looking for a retro vehicle pack now. :)

In 1986, a desperate and bankrupted man committed a bank robbery in Jakomäki, Helsinki. He took three hostages and fled the bank with some money. The two hostages were young female clerks, who had to stay under a blanket several hundred kilometers with the  robber who had a pile of dynamite in his lap.
They finally drove to a city called Mikkeli and the dynamite went off when a police officer -tired of following the runaway car- fired his gun and possibly hit the dynamite. Only the volunteered driver and the robber died in the blast cause the women got out  from the getaway car during the last seconds. I took this last picture of the driver alive in Helsinki. This 1978 Olds 442 brochure has drawn my attention. The fact that it features a police Delta 88 in an official brochure when Oldsmobile had ceased to manufacture police packages years ago is at least curious. Were they perhaps trying to give the 442 an outlaw image using a picture-made cop car?

Olds-442-1978.png

Pretty oldskool for London standards. (Every 3-4 years, a car is retired.) Used during periods 1999-2002, until it was replaced by the BMW 5 E39 and later Vauxhall Vectras. It's a pursuit and advanced response car so these units would see alot of action, with their sirens and lights blazing through all the time. Seen on The Bill.

Here's a good one. This song is great, and its video is hilarious. The song starts at 0:30, and a beautiful classic police car shows up at 1:14, but I won't spoil the make/model or lightbar. :)
