What people having problems could try is only installing the ELS folder, ELS.asi, and ELS.ini (and the visual settings in the common folder if you want to), and NOT dsound.dll or ScriptHook.dll. That's what I did (I'm using the dsound and ScriptHook provided by the LCPDFR installation) and it works perfectly fine.

 

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've already tried.  Using the ScriptHook and dsound provided by LCPDFR didn't rectify the problem, nor did installing the two that came in the ELS V7 installation folder.

 

And I'm using the standard Steam version of GTA IV.

I'm having a couple of issues. My game crashes about 70% of the time right before it gets to the house, it loads but right before it's done it crashes. Also I have a problem where when I press a key it doesn't work until I press it a few more times. It's only with the els keys and it happens to all of them.

Really good upgrade on the old version. I'm really enjoying using it at the moment and the features are a lot more detailed. I still need to figure out the sirens etc though!

When I first used ELS 7 I was like "Oh God do I really have to use this" because the controls were just so different from other ELS versions, but after editing the ELS.ini file to my liking I fell in love with the mod! :D

But once you get it going it's really working well

A quick question. I have yet to try this but when you enable the ELS in the ini like for a civilian car like Patriot will it also give you the siren?

when i was watching an elsv7 video the secondary lights seemed normal, is in having 3 cubes in the control panel

 

on my ELS control panel i only have left and right, which makes my patterns seem off, is there any way to fix this?

 ELS 7! I waited so long for you!

Love the Halogen reflections on the ground (yes, I use CVPIs with halogen light-bars! I'm that old fasioned!).

Caine has done a rather fantastic job with ELS v7. I was surprise and excited when i saw that he has included a few Whelen Flash Patterns which really took everything to the next level. He has my utmost gratitude and respect for what he does.

 

But honestly, what would REALLY take things to the next level is this, and i personally believe this is THE missing puzzle for LCPDFR :

 

 

Whelen Edge Strobes/ Hide-a-way strobes with ground radiation. 4 Flash bursts, the first lead burst is brighter for better emphasis. If this is introduced in to the modding community, it would be revolutionary!
