I keep having issues with the lights not flashing in MP when the siren is on. If anyone else is having this issue, or knows a fix to this issue, I would love to know about it!! 

well did anyone test it in MP that can help with this issue? Cause its starting to kick my butt lol

People did test it in MP. However, I'm not sure if they're as willing as I am to help with individual issues.

Set PRML Type=rota in the vehicle-specific config file. If you don't know what that is, read the guide.

Whats the point of releasing something that theres nothing about multiplayer or anyone to come forward that "tested in MP"! Seeming how 80% of us play multiplayer, and if im not mistaken that was part of the reason to make ELS7.. Like someone needs to have the answer... Cause we dont!

I highly doubt 80% of people here play multiplayer. And I wasn't assigned to help with individual questions or anything; I'm doing it of my own free will.

Chris, you need to copy the default_config file and rename it to whatever specific vehicle slot you are running els on. For example, I run halogen rotators on Police2, so I copied the default_config file (found in the new ELS folder) and renamed it police2, changed the {POLICE2} entry in the ELS.ini to direct to police2, then back in the new police2 config file, I adjusted the primary lights from leds to rota, and also adjusted the environment colours to red blue instead of the default red red and away I went. The halogen rotator environment pattern is just beautiful in game.  I hope that makes sense.

If not, I don't see a reason to drag them into this.

You don't have to; you can reuse a config file for multiple cars. If you want to change just one car, you do need to make a separate config file for it, but if a lot of cars have similar configs (for example, CJ24's LCPD vehicles with Liberties), you can just use one for the lot.

I can't get mine to work. I've installed it but it keeps launching v6.... I've tried deleting my old els files and reinstalling...

It should. I tried testing with your Predator, but the Predator wasn't working right (in general, not just lighting).

So, are people going to be releasing their own car config files? Curious to see what others are setting up. Loving this btw.

Did you guys even test it out properly before even releasing it ??, Because a lot of people are having issues plus when you turn the primary lights on the secondary lights come on first so then you have to cycle through just to get the primary lights whats all that about...

 

Seriously... there is absolutely nothing wrong with this script. Those that are having a hard time are doing things wrong. Not the script. I've tested it and put it through a lot of trauma. It stacks up. Others need to calm down and just read the directions. It's pretty easy folks.

 

Regardless of any difficulties had, I must say that the script is awesome.  I did get to play with it for a little bit and what I found was great - especially the ability to have individual car settings done by .ini file.  I do have a problem now, however; I get an instant crash-to-desktop once the game has started up.  Anyone else getting this problem or have any solutions?

 

And thanks to those that continue to provide support through this thread.  We, as users that don't complain because we can't read an included readme, appreciate it!

I personally hate ELS V7. Not a fan of it at all and think i'll be using v6. Not willing to put the time in to config it and everything.

 

Also, who's brilliant idea was it to disable police vehicles by default in the .ini file? Like really?

 

I'm amazed at the crap some people write. Learn to read. It took me all of 1 minute to read the installation, set it up and start playing. 60 seconds. Saying you hate a masterpiece like this puts you in the nubbbbbeee arena. chill.

I have a config file for each vehicle, ie in the ELS folder I now have: default_config, police, police2, fbi, polpatriot, noose, etc etc. Each one configured to the requirements of each vehicle, ie some are rotators, some are leds etc, some different light colours. It is great.
