ScottN reacted to Sam in 9-11-01 never forgetLook, here's the thing.
I don't think there's any reasonable denying that 9/11 was a tragic event. Is it fine for people to remember it and those affected by it? Absolutely. Is it wrong for someone to make a suggestion that people should focus less on remembrance and instead try to move on and look forward? Absolutely not.
Don't turn this into a heated debate, don't get carried away with opposing opinions. Keep it civilised or we will start handing out warnings and suspensions.

ScottN reacted to Carrythxd in ELS 7 - It's here!^ Oh yeah :P
When I first used ELS 7 I was like "Oh God do I really have to use this" because the controls were just so different from other ELS versions, but after editing the ELS.ini file to my liking I fell in love with the mod! :D
100 times better than the old ELS versions

*MASSIVE UPDATE*
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9MTLyUZCcg
Version 2.5 out now! Loads of brand new features:
ADDED extra vehicle support (the auxiliary vehicles do not have to replace important slots now, just spawn them via the "extra cars" menu in Simple Native Trainer.) ADDED new dash camera coordinates to fix viewpoint problems with some vehicles. IMPROVED number plate system. (Most vehicles have accurate number plates on them where possible, with accurate date and location registration letters/numbers.) IMPROVED the London transport system. (Added Double Decker Bus & London Underground Tube Train - both with the permission of SkylineGTRR34Freak, reworked the skins on both of them and also reworked on the stickers for the proxy taxies.) IMPROVED reflective material. (Honeycomb pattern has been added to all cheveron stickers and battenburg, and other pattern styles have been added to their relevant stickers, e.g. checkerboard on older reflective material as found on the LFB stripes.) New quality standards/changes to nearly all skins. (More accurate stripes, new patterns on reflective material, better fonts and wording, improved roofcodes - no more curvy letters or numbers, slight noise to simulate metallic paint, implementation of the improved reflective material etc.) BRAND NEW VEHICLES ADDED INCLUDING:

Were I live is right near the county border of Orange and Osceola in Florida, so I'm outside of of city limits. I mostly see Sheriffs driving around but only when school's out around 3:00pm and state troopers sometimes. Not much goes on around my area so they are barely seen, maybe fridays when the street racers group up to showcase their midget pos hondas and try to run and fail miserably at it.
If I would drive down to either of the two cities I live by. Its Kissimmee,FL and Orlando,FL. This is what their patrol cars look like:
Some videos showing what their cruisers and light setup are:

Some Photos:
Orlando Police
Kissimmee Police - Could not find any videos so I posted a picture
Osceola County sheriff
EDIT: Osceola County sheriff now drive the new 2012-13 taurus but cant seem to find any photos of it. I've seen about 3 once responding code 3 so I know they have to have some more. If I find any i'll post it.

ScottN got a reaction from rstuedes in Intel HD 3000 graphics card for GTA?Dedicated graphics cards are a must for laptops. However, with a lot of tweaking, some people have been able to achieve stable FPS with an Intel HD graphics card.

ScottN got a reaction from cp702 in Noob to Modding - C#Hey guys,
As my goal for this year, I decided that I was going to learn C#. As I want to be a programmer when I'm older, I think that it would be really beneficial to apply the language to what I enjoy at this age: Gaming.
I have all the correct tools to help me learn but I need some help to get me going. I've been really inspired by some of the scripts that have been posted in the last few weeks. I want to have a go at making my own along with trying to understand the language more.
Although I've had a go at learning it before (I only remember a few things), I want to have a fresh go at it now.
Bearing in mind that I'm only 15 years old, would anyone be able to post me a link to some noob-friendly guides/tutorials to help me start out with C#? As I said, I understand a little of the programming logic of C#, but I would like to start again from square 1, properly and deeply learning it this time.
Thanks for your time,
ScottN.
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I saw that this is the primary scripting forum.

ScottN got a reaction from Slimory in Noob to Modding - C#Bad grammar is an annoyance for me! I'm a neat-freak!
Ahh, I'll take a look today. I'm probably going to spend most of my day playing about with all this stuff. I'll be focusing more on C# rather than any other. I might even have a little look a Java and Java Scripts if I can be bothered.

One of the oldies, back when I were using cars covered with lights:
Utilizing the dash cam mod in conjunction with LCPDFR.
0.95ing it up, preview videos, because I can:

I've got a lot of exclusive preview videos (34 in fact) on my channel all in the 30 to 45 minute range, and I upload more every week.

I agree with Break. That happen to me as well Scott, and I just replaced all my modded cars with the originals and that seemed to work just fine. After that, I placed low poly cars as just the ones i use (Police, police2, polpatriot)

ScottN reacted to Iconography in Commands Stop Working, Textures Go Invisible...You say it ran fine before you modded it, so when you start the game up, what happens if you don't start LCPDFR, and just play normally? What mods do you have installed? Too many modded cars can overpower a laptop GPU, even if it runs fine without mods.
-
ScottN reacted to Break in Commands Stop Working, Textures Go Invisible...ELS won't work without modded cars, there are some default cars with ELS though. (check gtapolicemods.com)
Your VRAM/RAM might not be enough to run all those modded cars, what you are experiencing is a memory leak. You should reduce the amount of modded cars to a minimum.
