Featured Replies

For those people that what more realism should know that somethings need to remain in the real world. All im saying is leaving some elements out of a video game to preserve the fun factor is important.

The ELS 7 developers should be saluted for there innovation and hard work.

Keep the good work up guys!

  • Are you paying to use the modification?   No.   Therefore you aren't "entitled" to a release date. He's doing this for free and as such, you shouldn't pressure him

  • To answer an earlier question, yes it does now have support for added vehicles, as well as boats! Nicolai and myself have been involved with this for a little while now, I've not had the chance to t

I was just wondering... I noticed that the takedowns flash at a much slower rate than in current versions....is there a setting in the .ini to control the speed? Because I quite like the flash rate on current versions. I know that it is because some people have complained about takedowns flashing too fast in current versions thus not looking realistic but I think that the ones in the vid are waaay too slow. So by making a setting in the .ini everyone could be happy, right? :P

Otherwise... it looks just awesome.. cant wait to beat on that bullhorn :D

Will the game crash when using AI ELS and wanted stars goes above 3 stars? I hope not since not having police cars chasing you with flashing lights is weird

The only difference I noticed was that AI can now use their lights without crashing. Not saying it wasn't a feat and that i'm not appreciative but is there anything else? AI using lights, AI vehicle pull overs (wall smashing) and of course vehicle god mode. I guess 1 out of three isn't bad.

Well, the walls issue is not related to any lighting system; it's the GTA AI. That said, there are many more improvements, if you bothered to watch the full video.

That is if you don't have that 1 there, other wise its really fast and it will cause your game to crash a lot when its going that fast. The 1 makes it so you can see the light bar have effects and makes it go very fast, with out that 1 the light bar will look dim and slow.

Trust me these are the settings I use and it isnt slow, if anything I still think its a little bit to fast.

OT, but..

+1 to you son! Cured my instant GTAIV crash when using els on for the Ai police!

I'm more than pleased to break the news that Lieutenant Caine's ELS mod will make a fantastic comback with a new release soon, Caine has been hard at work at improving stability and add a bunch of nice features to the mod

Keep your eyes peeled on my channel for more ELS v7 videos, I'll be sure to go in-depth with the changes.

I'd like to thank Caine for giving me this opportunity to help improve the mod as well as being given the honour of announcing version 7 to all of you, I've seen the mod change into something version 6 can only dream of, he's a super guy.

It will be released here on LCPDFR.com and select other modding sites soon.

Bugs fixed?

Bugs fixed?

Bugs?? You mean the god mode and door glitch??

Well if that is what you mean I am gonna repeat myself yet again.

The God Mode CANNOT be fixed because the extra system which ELS uses is hardcoded by Rockstar. That means whenever ELS is on the car continuously rebuilds itself.

I actually prefer my car to not receive huge amounts of damage just from giving the car a pit or a small ram with my push bumpers. So I'm fine with the invulnerable car.

One question though for those testing it; is the AI just as stupid when using ELS, where some use it and some don't? Or do all cars actually use it now?

Thanks for the great news!  I just built a new system and I'm eager to through ELS 7 on it right off the bat.  Is there an expected release date?

I've seen the AI not use the lights with the standard non-ELS vehicles in the game, so it's a programming issue with the game it seems.

Which version of ELS you use has a major effect on it. Version 6 the AI police almost never use their lights. ELS version 5 they use them more often, and during times that they don't, there's a mini script called ELSFix that gives you a button to force their lights to come on or shut off within a 90 meter radius. Even still though, some police cars will hit their sirens when you use ELSFix, but not display their lights. Currently I'm using V5 with ELS fix and it gets the job done better than V6 does. It's a shame I can't use my takedown lights and my overheads at the same time, but I'd rather have a fleet of police cars that have working overheads than one police car with working lights and the rest just following along at a high speed.

I'm the same way. If you expect to see your car get damaged on patrol, you're doing it wrong lol. Poice cars in the real world should not be damaged in the normal course of duty, including pursuits or while executing PIT maneuvers. I don't lose control of my car in GTA to the point of hitting other veicles, driving on the sidewalk, hitting street poles, etc, so the god mode issue has no effect on me.

Perks of being a hyper realistic player I suppose, though I can understand why some people consider it to be a "bug."
