Ah okay. At least you've got it working now... To remove them from roaming you'll need to modify popgroups.ymt; Which is in: update --> update.rpf --> x64 --> levels --> gta5. I've included a popgroups with the police2 removed from VEH_COPCAR (City cop group;LSPD).

Using OpenIV go to 'update' --> 'update.rpf' --> 'common' --> 'data' and you'll find a file called 'dispatch.meta'. You can extract with openIV and then edit in Notepad or Notepad+ if you have that. In order to remove it from LSPD circulation, place it with the zone restricted country side, this will change it from being a LSPD dispatch to a countryside dispatch. I've included a dispatch.meta with what you've asked, but keep what I said in mind if want to edit this file in the future. :3

So if I understand you correctly...
Any file I wish to modify in OpenIV, I need to make a copy of said file to the "mods" folder and only modify that file in OpenIV, not the original root folders, correct?

I know whats going on here.
You need to make a new folder called "mods" (all in lowercase) in your main games directory and essentially copy the file paths/structure/layout and put them inside your new mods folder (by making empty folders etc.)

    .....BELOW IS JUST AN EXAMPLE.....
Be sure to copy the structure of the directories like mods>audio>sfx>resident.rpf etc etc etc
(So make the empty folders in the same order as they are in the game.)
Then copy and paste any files and folders into the directory you just made, then edit THOSE copies of the games stuff.  That way the game cant detect it and does not over ride what you changed.
***The game will always load from the custom stuff in your mods folder instead of the main game copy***

I hope this makes sense to you.

Yes. But be sure to load OpenIV.ASI and ASI Loader (it's under the "Tools-ASI Manager") otherwise the game will load the normal files.

I've been using the Automatic license plate reader v1.5 for a while now, and just recently I experiemented with having the script loaded and trying it without. I've come to realize that with the script loaded, it actually causes the game to run slightly sluggish, as opposed to running the game without it. Anyone else notice this?

To the contrary, the DSF models are gigantic and unrealistic. The body dimensions are disproportional compared to the real-life CV.

While I do like the fact that they're low poly, I do not like how they dwarf most of the vanilla civilian cars in the game. The Schaefft CVPI model better suits the environment of the game, despite it being high poly.

New version of the CVPI released. Although not much interest went into it, I decided to go ahead and release the same CVPI model with the 2009-style hubcaps.

I just uploaded it so give it some time to be approved. Hope everyone enjoys the vehicle.

Hey all, I figured since I've started doing stuff with models for the game, I'd post about the work I'm doing. Bear with me, I'm new to Zmodeler and whatnot, so it might take a while to become very proficient with everything.

Currently I've completed a unique version of Schaefft's Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, based off the publicly released and unlocked version of BxBug123's CVPI 4.2 model.

After struggling with textures and learning how to mirror items correctly, I was able to accomplish giving the model have a true dual exhaust, as the real CV does.

Also included is a more realistic headlight setup. On the real CV, both parking lights are on, along with the headlight. The only way to achieve this look before was using the Indicator Mod, and by doing that you end up having the amber light reflection on the ground on all four corners of the vehicle. This modification simply ties the indicator lights in with the headlights, so when the headlights are on, so are the parking lights.

Both of these modifications are just a simple way to add more realism to the car and the game. The model can be found here: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

If there is enough interest, I will do a model with the 2009 style hub caps.

    Other works in progress:

E-109 Contender Police truck (so far just a rambar, vanilla computer and radio, and 2008 Tahoe wheels... need a template for skins)

Modified Landstalker Police SUV [the unlocked model in the downloads section] (Whelen Liberty up front with rear lights removed, Tomar traffic adviser in rear)

The issue I personally have with this Landstalker is that it's too high off the ground, too big for the rest of the vehicles in the game. That's the way it came, someone modified the suspension. So I may end up starting this over with a fresh civilian version and build it up.

I will try to keep this thread updated with new projects, releases, and works in progress.

I've played the main story so many times, so I have the ELFC pack and save the other two stories for legit playing and use the main game for LCPDFR.

I've been using Savior ENB and it's nice. Dark areas are actually dark, more realistic.

2.3 should fix any issues with locations not showing up.  There was also an issue in the previous version where resist arrest would prevent or sometimes crash when LCPDFR arresting, this has been fixed too.

Thanks guys. I decided to replace the Charger and CVPI with a base DSF CVPI non-ELS in both police slots, and the game seems to be running much smoother. I never noticed until I spawned Schaefft's Vic and the DSF Vic, side by side, the size difference. To be honest, the DSF model seems more accurate in size with the peds in the game, the original Vic seemed small for a "full size" sedan.

Congrats dude, I am still in the academy for my agency but I will hit the streets in the FTO program at the end of March. It's a heck of a journey but will be well worth it.

I wonder if you change the number of gears in the handling.dat file, maybe it would sound more accurate. Hearing a Crown Vic with 5 gears is unusual.
