I really wish Caine would possibly pipe in here, because its not like him to let someone else show off any of his mods. Not that I don't believe the new version will be released (I personally have seen and played with the new version myself) but would be cool for some info from him!!

ELS never crashed my game tbh, I'm using v5 and the reason I keep crashing is other mods, never ELS. Will we have more patterns for the wig-wag option? (like 2 left headlight flash, 2 right headlight flash and 2 both headlight flash) Also will we be able to set the speed of the traffic advisor / wig-wags / primary lights individually? There's only 1 reason why I wasn't using ELS v6 is because the wig-wag pattern was so fast, it just ruined it for me.

This is fantastic news! Although the new lighting updates are great, it's the realistic siren control that has me in awe. I've been waiting for something like that for ages. Can't wait for the father of GTA IV police modding to make his comeback!

Now, I wonder if the new siren system will work in multiplayer. Since the current one doesn't.

To answer an earlier question, yes it does now have support for added vehicles, as well as boats!

Nicolai and myself have been involved with this for a little while now, I've not had the chance to test it yet although NB has been for quite some time and from what he's told me it is just simply amazing in terms of the attention to detail and especially the new siren stuff. I also don't think I can blame ELS for crashes any more - it's very stable!

Also, everyone is in for a real treat this spring as Caine, LMS and myself have been working on another script as well. It is at the moment similar to what Grady is doing with his corona mod, although my goal here is to simulate a working rotator lightbar with proper patterns and visibility stuff, e.g. If the light is shrinking to the left, you can't see it from the right of the car.

So yeah, it's a pretty exciting time for all of us right now. I was really happy when Caine resurfaced if you like a few months back. It has been awesome working with him again and by the looks of things everyone is just as excited as I am!

Each time I check this thread, the more excited I get.... I NEED TO CONCENTRATE ON MY STUDIES But unfortunately, I prefer focusing on LCPDFR!!!! IT IS JUST TOO AWESOME WITH THIS ELS version in my mind!!!!!

The "god mode" is not fixable, all of the brightest script modders has tried to fix this but it is not possible.

 

AS far as AI goes, I'm not 100% certain how their patterns are chosen right now due to all the changes, I'll try and follow up on it, however AI car no longer spawn with random lights on in the latest version(not used due to bugs)

Coronas? that will just b like EVCS and the one Sam is working on now. ELS uses the Extra System and since Rockstar has hardcoded the Extra system, the god mode cannot be fixed.

Well I was all hyped up when I saw the video but then when I read (The "god mode" is not fixable), I lost the hype but don't get me wrong it looks great and stuff but to me it's els v6 but with a few new features and stuff ...

As I said Earlier why the God mode can't be fixed... yes it is a sad issue but guess what you get the realistic Siren system!!!!!

So, if I slot a ELS enabled emergency vehicle within a normal civilian vehicle slot (say, Comet), that vehicle will be ELS ready and have pullover/takedown capabilities like a normal police cruiser - correct? I was under the impression that anything outside of police, police2, fbi, noose, polpatriot, nstockade, pstockade, police3, police4, policeb, ambulance and fire truck (err, firetruk), would not allow takedowns/pullovers, because it was hardcoded for only those slots.

ELS V6 works on any of the original GTA IV and EFLC cars, you just have to add the line in ELS.ini ([ COMET ] then all the settings). However, if you added a car and called it "My car" or something, you couldn't use ELS on it. But now, according to Sam, you can. As well as boats, which weren't supported either.

Just doing that, has never worked for me , only Feroci2 and Stretch work that way as you mentioned. However, I know there is Custo way of achieving this, but that's more of a hack, without proper environment lighting.

So I read through the whole thread and also asked the same question on youtube: This version of ELS is really going to bring it home!

 

Would you be able to hear the sirens in multiplayer with the new ELS initiated siren? I know that with V6 you can't hear a friends ELS siren button, but only the regular GTA initiated siren if that makes sense. I see AI traffic yields so this may be possible now!
