Simple lightweight script that was requested multiple times by people who want a quick key to turn off their car engine.

Requires RagePluginHook

Installation:

Drag the 'Plugins' folder to your main GTA Directory.

Keybinds:
Default key to turn off the vehicle engine is C

By default there is no controller key set, it can be set in the ini file.

Known issue:

ELS Lights turn the vehicle on, and you cannot turn it off with the ELS lights on! This is just how ELS works, I can't fix it.

Regardless of the game version, I do not expect this will ever break.

Fixed the file including an outdated version.

Fixed the plugin looking for the .ini in the wrong location.

I am the big dumb, sorry for the double update today. There should never need to be an update again after this.

This plugin should never break in the future despite how long ago the last update was, it's very simple.

Made by request. Yes it's simple, but that's what people asked for. Other plugins like this have a lot of features people don't want to use.

Is better. Just insert it in the GTA5 mainfolder, configure it and have fun. You can even set a little more. Indicator Function and when lightly tapping F (door open) the door stays open and when holding long, the door closes.

If you read the description, it was made by request. Kind of a jerk move to go onto the comment of a plugin that someone put effort into and link something else.

Also, to point out, the beauty of modding is that we get to choose what we use. It doesn't matter your preference of a mod, we will use what we want.

This mod requires an optional modifier key. And, perhaps, the inability to turn off the engine while driving.

UPD: And it would be great if the engines remained on when leaving the car (if they were not turned off).

Seems a bit silly for a plugin called Turn Off That Engine. Then it would be Turn Off That Engine...but also occasionally leave it on.

LSPDFR has that feature built in, I think if you hit N or something it brings a menu up.

Somehow went 2 years with the ini in the wrong location and including an outdated version. Sorry about that, just got the report today.

somehow i went 2 years with the wrong ini location and the outdated version. and somehow it never crashed and bugged. even my changes to the ini have worked without any issues. i will never notice the changes ingame but thank you for a small and simple but very useful script! i love it!

if you ever get bored please think about a simple script for letting use me my xboxcontroller LEFT Shoulder Button and RIGHT Shoulder Button to control the vehicle indicators. it sounds small but it doesn't exist a single one which is still working nowadays. even simple trainer has excluded this buttons at all.

Simple, easy, working when just starting play and after longer time it just does not respond to my click to work 🙃 have no idea how game impacting it. Reload plugins ain't working
