DirectX and OpenGL are just graphics APIs to access the underlying graphics hardware. OpenGL has been in production and is heavily tested. Linux and OpenGL are heavily used on both Apple and Android mobile and tablet devices. GTA 3 and Vice City have been ported to OpenGL and are available officially from Rockstar through the Android and iOS app stores. The PS3's graphics API itself, is based on OpenGL ES. OpenGL used to be, but is no longer, inferior to DirectX. Any programmer will tell you that DirectX is a nightmare. Your claims that non-Windows' OS' will never be able to meet the graphical bar is completely unfounded. Valve's own testing shows that Linux is generally a lot faster for games. The Linux kernel is a lot more efficient and generally faster than the Windows kernel overall, which is why Linux powers nearly all supercomputers and servers in the world. And yeah, of course Valve will make a device for it. The only way most people get an operating system on their computers is through the OEM.

If it brings 'AAA' titles to Linux, I'm all for it. Linux is a far better operating system than Windows, although the lack of software means I only use it on servers, and cannot currently use it on desktop.

Rockstar don't have to give us the tools to mod their game. This has been shown with GTA 4 and San Andreas. Any tools would be great, although I'd highly doubt it and either way, GTA V will be modded.

Well, yeah, of course they develop on PC. They use PCs for development and then test on console dev kits. Pretty obvious. This isn't anything new at all.

We have no strong evidence of this, and we've never said formally they've been involved. Our enemies list is very short though, and people can make their own assumptions. We haven't actually been attacked successfully in a long time, although people try every few days without much success.

Either by some smart people of LMS' reversing ability looking at the code of a leaked DVD, or more likely, Rockstar leaking them deliberately (usually happens with cheat codes that insiders will leak them - it's harmless).

Why u so upset tho? On a serious note, Rockstar, like any other business doesn't care what any of you think. Their decisions are based on what will provide their business with the most profit. They release a PC version for every single GTA that's been released so far because it has been profitable to do so. They will most likely do the same with GTA V. Also, there's some indication from a rip of the XBOX 360 edition that a PS4 edition and PC edition are planned: In my opinion, it's likely a PC edition will be made (and released) along with ports for the next-generation platforms (PS4, Xbox One). Those platforms are based on PC architecture anyway, so it would make sense from a business perspective to also make a PC edition. Edit: Hell, there's even MAC OS version of San Andreas and Vice City.

I honestly doubt they've been hacked. Pirates are too stupid to do that. Whats more likely is that DVDs of the game obtained by theft have been copied and put on to those torrent sites.
