I've looked into this a bit further. A 404 page wouldn't produce this error (and observably so, as nobody would be playing LSPDFR right now!). However, an invalid response which returns 200 (e.g. network level interception on the local machine/network, or abnormal cloudflare challenge) could. I'll look into a fix for a future release.

LSPDFR would require a substantial re-write for FiveM, FiveM also lacks direct memory manipulation, so wouldn't be able to support the entire suite of LSPDFR features without upstream FiveM changes. More importantly, it's not something we've been invested in doing yet.

I'm looking into this next, thanks! The submission / update flow has a lot of legacy cruft and technical debt, but I'm sure we'll work something out.

Well, this took a while. Has been fixed/changed with a site update today.

We're still experimenting with it, so nothing is final yet. However: the best way for community members to get updates for mods still remains pressing the 'Get updates' button on the file as well as checking their download histories, which will highlight changes to mods they've downloaded. Additionally, many mod authors make use of our API to show a message in-game when their plugins update. And, the 'Recently Updated' sort option remains available. I've had a lot of complaints forwarded to me from our team and broader community in the past months about the quality of our highly trafficked sections, like Scripts & Plugins. With the advent of AI agentic coding, the bar to create plugins has reduced drastically, and we've seen a huge uptick in Scripts & Plugins ranging highly in quality. With that, we've seen behaviour like constantly updating plugins to remain at the top of the list, and users complaining about what they feel are low effort mods. I'm personally of the opinion that AI is here to stay, and the usage of AI in mods, when combined with human effort and capital, can end up with better mods for everyone. However, there's no question it's led to a large uptick of new Scripts & Plugins ranging in quality and effort, as well as some high quality gems. Instead of legislate on what mods people can and cannot upload, a balanced approach is our algorithmic sort. It combines freshness, account history, user trends and most importantly community feedback and engagement with the file. As of now, it's an experiment, and feedback and user behaviour will be the deciding factor on whether it's ultimately a good idea or not.

We're currently running an experiment with showing files by algorithmic rank (what users have been engaging and what they want to see the most) on high-traffic categories like Scripts & Plugins. We'll have more information to share on it soon. You can change the Sort By to 'Recently Updated' if you don't want to see files by algorithm.
