  1. Yeah, the only thing I would worry about is that the currency would collapse too, and the soldiers would refuse to accept dollars.
  2. Even if the country did go bankrupt, it still has a huge military force, so I don't think Mexico is going to take over the US if it goes bankrupt. The only catch is that the government wouldn't really have a lot of money to pay for the army, but I think soldiers could take other forms of payment. For example, they could be paid with the US oil reserves or land. That's not going to happen anyway, so it doesn't matter. :P I wonder if the government has actually done research on ways to pay it's military without using US dollars.
  3. That's awesome! My flight instructor (fixed-wing) was also a UH-60 Black Hawk Instructor for the National Guard. He said that most helicopter pilots get their training through the military because getting civilian training is too expensive.
  4. Looks great man! Just wondering, but is it legal in Canada to put something like an amber arrow stick in the rear window? It would be pretty useful.
  5. Well, br is my initials, and originally I went to create an email address, but br100 was taken, so instead of making a random number, I thought putting an x on the end made it look nicer and sounded cool (this was years and years ago). I've stuck with the username because nobody else has it, so I can use it for pretty much everything from here, to my email. to xbox live, etc.
  6. I'm pretty sure you can replace car audio files. I haven't looked into it, but I assume it would be similar to replacing the siren sounds. As for recording, I would look and see which files are needed (like if you need an idle loop or if you need gear changing loops or something). It would be pretty awesome if you could pull this off!
  7. Great guide! MSI Afterburner is great, especially since the manufacturers tune their cards so that the fans stay quite until a very high temperature to reduce noise. One thing you didn't mention is what a safe temperature is. This will vary for each card, but generally you don't want it going above 70-75C. If your card is kept at temperatures at or above that (or even lower than that for some cards), you risk damaging your card and reducing its lifespan. Also, overclocking may void your warranty, so make sure you know the implications before overclocking. I have a higher-end AMD card (6870), and you can actually overclock the card with the drivers it comes with, but it limits how far you can increase it and it doesn't change the fans not really kicking in until a pretty high temperature. For my card, I have it idle in the high 30s low 40s © and it reaches about 60-65C when under load (I have my card mildly overclocked at 900MHz core clock and 1050MHz memory clock). I know your guide is for low end cards, but my card came with a higher memory clock speed than core speed. You can always google what temperatures are good for your card and what setups work better.

  11. Yeah, like the dome light and "tink tink" sound when a car is turned off. The written article has 100 things, they just couldn't fit all of them in the video: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/09/30/100-little-things-in-gta-5-that-will-blow-your-mind
  12. Ah, ok. I think my department also gives priority to applicants and press, but you don't have to be in order to get one.
  13. That's awesome! I'm just curious, but my local PD and sheriff allow anybody to do a ride-along, provided they are old enough and don't have a criminal history. From the way you word your post, it sounds like not all explorers are allowed to go on a ride-along, but I thought that was a main part of the explorer program besides directing traffic at events and stuff. (please forgive my ignorance, I haven't really looked into it that much)
  14. You type faster then me. :P Yeah, I like using paint.net and using the template as a base layer, then adding layers on top of that, but change their opacity so you can still see the template. Then, when you are finished, you can flatten it and save it as a png. You'll need openiv or sparkiv to insert the texture file though.
  15. Yeah, I love the cars they use! During the first couple seasons they used a Plymouth Belvedere, and during the last two they used an AMC Matador. I actually got into modeling because I wanted to make the cars from adam-12. I've made a Matador, but I haven't publicly released it because I didn't make the can lights that well (I'm currently making better ones) and there are some issues with the wheel textures and mesh (I need to re-make them too). http://www.lcpdfr.com/uploads/monthly_10_2013/post-75491-0-63733900-1381433796.jpghttp://www.lcpdfr.com/uploads/monthly_10_2013/post-75491-0-77065300-1381433800.jpg
  16. What about Adam-12? I know its old, but you can still catch some episodes on cable (or netflix or hulu or youtube).
  17. Blender is another free, open source modeling program. There are tons of tutorials on youtube for it. You could try this as an alternative to the talon: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> I'd suggest watching some tutorials on zmodeler and whatever program you use to make models, and then you might have enough experience to figure out what is wrong with the talon or model your own. :)
  18. Yeah! I've seen all the episodes a couple times, but every time I watch it, I see something new! For example, in the first episode, across the street from Johnny, some men seem to be taking a robot out of a van.
  19. -"Sergeant take her and book her." -"Sergeant Taker, Sergeant Booker."
  20. I first watched this show a couple years ago, and I loved it. Leslie Nielsen is the main character (the guy from Airplane!), so it's really funny. Unfortunately, it wasn't very popular when it came out, so they only made one season, although they later made a movie, The Naked Gun, based off the show. I just wondered what you all thought of it! Here is a link to the episodes on youtube:
  21. Yeah, it says on the TS14 steam page that it only has 16 locomotives, which is not that many. On railroad simulator, all the locomotives I've ever wanted to drive were either pre-installed or downloadable through the community. It has hundreds of different cars and probably at least 50 locomotives pre-installed. The map editing mode is really robust and easy to use. It also has some DLC's, but i've never felt the need to buy them, as all the content i wanted was in the game or on the community. If you decide on getting railroad simulator, I would recommend getting the hard copy, as it comes with a nice foldout paper with keyboard shortcuts on it and a really detailed 250 page manual, which is more like a book (with pictures :P). Here is the box copy: http://www.amazon.com/PC-Railroad-Simulator-Powered-Trainz-12/dp/B005D5XTT6/ref=pd_cp_vg_1
  22. He means an image with all the street names overlayed onto the map, not to mod in a new map.
  23. I use railroad simulator (yes, it's different). The graphics are really good, and it comes with a great "surveyor" mode to create your own maps. It also allows you to share your own maps (and trains, scenery objects, etc.) through their community system, which is built into the game. I've never tried it's multiplayer, but from what I've seen, its pretty good. I've never used train simulator 2014 (or 13), so I can't compare them, but I quite like the loads of free trains and maps you can get on railroad simulator. The TS14 graphics look a bit more polished than railroad simulator's, but the graphical quality is still excellent. I hate having to get DLC's, so I'm not sure I would like the TS series.
