I love it. Better EMS just works, and it continues to work. Also the integration with other plugins is amazing. We have long had to live with the terrible and dangerous paramedics of GTA V and GTA IV, but with this, we finally have some capable people dealing with our casualties. I also like the customization options in the .ini, like when to spawn a First Responder, really improves the atmosphere noticeably. One suggestion though: A feature this mod could greatly benefit from (in my view) would be CPR. Give the player the option to perform CPR on a ped and increase the survivability by about 5-10% until the EMS arrives and gives the ped a proper treatment. That's the only thing missing for me :)
  1. Oh okay, so it seems that I have misunderstood the description of the "LSPDFR backup.xml" Addon. So it just spawns them, but I can't select them. Okay, at least now I know :D Thank you!
  2. I've got a little problem. I installed the backup.xml file for LSPDFR, but I can't select the vehicles or peds that came with RDE. Can somebody help me out? I am a bit confused.
  3. Amazing model. And even more amazing is your choice of using the MX2700. I love that lightbar, and it needs to be on far more cars than it currently is. I would trade all the Arjents for more MX2700s.
  4. Unfortunately, even after changing the diffuseTint line for the Tahoe, the lightbar is still black, the CVPI works perfectly though and is absolutely amazing. If I install the Tahoe anywhere else than "rde" (I used the non-RDE version to install the car to the RDE folder instead of the addon folder because I don't use the sheriff addon) the game won't recognize it. Perhaps you can fix the glass in future versions, I'll be happy to play with the CVPI only in the meantime :)
  5. Guys, I really need a little bit of help. I love the car, especially the beautiful Argent. I managed to put the car in police1, but it just spawns without the lightbar all the time. Same with Bxbugs' Charger. Please Obi-Wan Kenobi, help me, you're my only hope!
  6. Wow - this one looks absolutely stunning. The only thing missing now is an Arjent lightbar to go with it so I have the choice between those two lightbars. Would make that car absolutely perfect. But I love the work you put into this one, seems like you thought of every little detail.
  7. Congratulations! Pursuing a career in medicine is a bold choice, considering that a hospital can be a very harsh environment. But there's a big need for good nurses and I think you'll do a great job. As a med student, I know how helpful nurses are, especially when they're very experienced and you're just out of university. It is a hard job, but I think it is as satisfying as most of the jobs in medicine are. You'll be making people's lives better, even be saving lives and that is something you can draw a very special satisfaction from. It is dirty, there's blood, there's fecies and every other body fluid - but still - a great field to work in. Do you have any special field in your mind you wanna work in? Like ICU?
  8. So somebody with a broken taillight who's running from the police deserves death? Oh boy ... That's not a "criminal off the streets", that is just plain murder. You deserve a fine for that, but not being shot in the back. If you support brutality like that, you can't be taken seriously.
  9. I agree that journalists went to far with that line. Still: In every european country, most of these officers, fatally shooting a suspect, would be convicted of at least manslaughter. There are very few cases where you can legally fire your gun at somebody. The amount of shootings in the US and the amount of weapon use in the US is just far too high. I know, there are a lot more guns around, still the case in Ferguson would definitely end up in court over here. Definitely not justified to use a gun and fatally shoot a suspect, there have to be other methods to defend yourself.
  10. I really like the idea of the "Director mode". You don't need to use scripts anymore to set up scenes. You can just choose your main actor/acress and roll the cameras. But what I am more interested in is the statement Rockstar made about mods. They will ban mods that negatively influence GTA:O - absolutely understandable - but it seems like they are expecting people to mod the game. So that tells us that GTA V is not as hard to modify as GTA IV. http://www.vg247.com/2015/04/08/gta-5-mods-gta-online-pc/
  11. The "criminal" was pulled over for a broken tail light. So shooting that man is justified? He is a criminal for having a damaged car? You really should consider reading up on things first before making statements like that. Nobody deserves to be just shot for something. It is called civilization. We put criminals in jail, not just kill them. And that man clearly was no criminal. There is evidence in the video that the police officer put the taser beside the man after shooting him. It is absolutely justified to charge him for murder.
  12. ELS lights in CryENB depend on the shaders. In V1 you had very bright lights, blinding even like you describe it, in V3, if you install everything correctly, they should look good. Also check your visualeffects. Maybe your settings are too high for CryENB V3. I have my lights set to 80 and they look bright and realistic. So they might be too bright if you go towards values of about 150 or above. It also depends on the lightbars. It seems like some lightbars are brighter out of the box than others, so you have to adjust accordingly to them. But I am not sure about that, it is only an experience I had. Like a Whelen Liberty is a lot brighter than a Whelen Legacy, therefore the Legacy always looks better for me. Let me know if you found out anything ;)
  13. Wow, nice. I'd love to see Jackman as Bond. I feel that he'd impersonate a more funny Bond than Craig, more like Brosnan did. But well ... he turned it down, so let's see who'll inherit the role from Craig.
  14. First of all: Hugh Jackman is Wolverine. Who would want to be Bond if he had adamantium claws? But I don't really believe that rumor. Do you have any sources on that? Because Jackman is australian, and Bond actors need to be british. Although I'm sure that australians could easily do a british accent, but still, there seems to be this quiet rule that James Bond always needs to be portrayed by a british actor.
  15. Well, see what Marvel and DC are doing at the moment, just to come off as "politically correct". I am not convinced that all these changes make a lot of sense, because - like you said - these characters were created 50 years ago. But as for Bond, it does make sense for me. Especially when you believe in one of the "Bond-Conspiracy-Theories". James Bond 007 is just a code name a lot of agents inherited from their predecessors. When one Bond dies, the next Agent takes his place. I like the theory because it explains the changes in character and visually Bond has undergone. And while that probably isn't what Metro Goldwyn Mayer is thinking when they cast Elba as Bond, I can easily live with it because of that theory ;)
  16. Yeah, rumors say that Idris Elba could become the new Bond after Daniel Craig. I have to say, I don't really think that Craig is a "real" James Bond, Brosnan and Connery were the best ones in my opinion. Still, I enjoyed Skyfall a lot, one of the best Bond movies so far. But I feel that Craig's movies do lack the "overstatement" that older Bond movies had. No more death ray satellites, more down to earth villains. I'm not a big fan of that. But I am really looking forward to Spectre, especially because of Christoph Waltz, and I like the new faces of M and Q and of course Mrs. Moneypenny.
  17. As a kid I wanted to be a firefighter. I've always loved the lights and sirens and fighting ... well ... fires. As I grew older though I realized that as a firefighter you have to go up high ladders, and I'm not really a friend of heights. But coming from a medical family, I became more and more interested in medicine. So when I was about 14 years I wanted to become a doctor. And that career path never really changed. I chose to do my civil service (instead of military) as a paramedic (on the level of EMT-B) for nine months and am still working shifts when I am home for the holidays. So that just made my career path clearer and so I got into university, and am studying medicine. It is difficult to choose which specialization though. Probably Aenesthesia and Emergency Medicine (you know, that lights and siren) or Neurologist or Neurosurgeon. I am pretty happy with the path I have chosen, I think there is so much variety in medicine, no day is like the day before and you're actually doing something to be proud of.
  18. I am not american, so I had to pick my favorite teams according to what I saw and read about them. I allow myself to support one AFC and one NFC team. So when my Packers fell short to Seattle, my Patriots became my main focus. I really wanted Brady to get his fourth Super Bowl ring because I like how hard he works for his team and that he is willing to take a pay-cut just to keep his Patriots in contention (and Belichick kinda reminds me of the Emperor in Star Wars - and I like Star Wars). While I think that Russel Wilson is a really nice guy, I can't stand Seattle's defense. All that trashtalk, all that insulting. Can't they just acknowledge what others do? Saying Gronk is overrated is just stupid. So I'm pretty happy that Seattle got pulled back on earth by the Patriots. And I suffered, I suffered a lot when the Seahawks won the game against the Packers with a huge amount of luck (and stupid mistakes by the Pack), so that Super Bowl win by the Pats was some sort of redemption for me. I don't like how Seattle plays, relying so heavily on Marshawn Lynch. The passes are mostly based on pure luck. That final pass, during the last 2 minutes, that everybody's making up as "best catch in super bowl history" or what so ever - in my opinion that was just a huge amount of luck that the ball didn't touch the ground, not so much great catching skills by the receiver. I too did already see the Patriots defeated when Seattle was at the 1 and I couldn't believe the interception. Overall the Super Bowl was fun to watch, a lot more exciting than last year's Super Bowl against the Broncos (where I actually rooted for the Seahawks because I don't like Manning). But as for that playcall at the end. Pete Carroll explained why he did it, and it makes quite a lot of sense. The Seahawks had one timeout remaining, so they had to pass at least one time at the goalline to have a possibility to play all four downs. You know, had they run the ball and had the Pats stopped them, they would have had to burn their final timeout and loose the possibility to play fourth down if necessary. Wilson's choice to go in the direction of the Patriots' Butler was also the right one, outside was multiple coverage, inside was a one-on-one matchup right at the Endzone-Line. So you're going in the direction of a Rookie in 1on1 who had no interceptions in his NFL career so far. What Wilson did not know is that Butler had the most interceptions of the whole Patriots team in training. So he made a play. A huge one. But you can't say the Seahawks made a mistake. Of course the Patriots were prepared for Lynch, they brought in additional linemen, so who knows what would've happenend. In my opinion, the Seahawks should never have been in that game anyway with that huge amount of luck they had against Green Bay.
