Should I buy Cities: Skylines?
Oh yeah, the MOD support on the game "should" be fantastic. I'm still having fun with CiM2, and don't need another game yet. I will skip it unfortunately.

My first police chase video. I need your advice and comments!
I think it is a pretty good first chase video. Nice background audio going on but it is sort of ruined when the lcpdfr ingame chatter overlaps it. (I haven't been playing very much but I have seen some old posts stating you can't remove that chatter any more?) Some wild driving and siren use which some people will be okay with and some people won't like. It is a chase after all so things happen and it can be a little crazy. There are action packed chases and more cautious "realistic" chases. If you are doing an action movie style chase, music can do wonders. But finding good music you are allowed to use is the problem and nobody wants their video/channel to be deleted. If you want something more serious, check out other videos and you may decide to change your driving style ingame. In the end though, it is your content. Play the way that is enjoyable for you. 2 different but interesting videos. (there are probably a lot of good videos besides these)

Whats your favorit state trooper vehicle skin?
Am a little bit mesmerized by the Minnesota State Trooper vehicles. I also like marked slicktops and a maroon crown vic looks so amazing to me. Not pictured in the link below. But you get some facts about the current fleet. http://home.comcast.net/~sgtsletten/site/?/page/MSP_Cars_2011-2013/

Very interesting. When will update for LCPDFR?
When you can download, then that's when it is ready. I like it better this way and it avoids some of the disappointment if things don't go to plan. Because currently LCPDFR/G17Media is a little higher on my books than Rockstar that has ruined a lot of my excitement for their upcoming game..

GTA V Coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC
I was sceptical about the release date. So the January delay didn't bug me much. But the salt is accumulating and maybe after the 4-5 time will I actually be a little mad about it. This does worry me a little about the future. Because with all big companies, you will have some investors and board of directors that are people all about business and may not understand the scope of gaming and the project. They may think well this PC version may not be as profitable as our Sony/Microsoft versions and it is also making our brand/company look bad. Another topic, I agree with some people if the game is done and the hold up is online+heists... Just release without online as it allows people the time to play through the single player and mess around the city for awhile. Then release the online component maybe 2 weeks later, exactly what they did with the original launch.

ELS question.
There are settings for range and intensity of ENV lighting. There are a total of 12 options you can configure to your liking and too much to post. Check out Page 21 from the ELS User Guide. Has simple descriptions of what you can change and acceptable values you can modify. You will probably find other cool things in the user guide while you're at it.

My First Model - 3DSmax - F16A
As someone who doesn't have a clue or any skill on how to do this...(though I remember there being a tutorial here somewhere. heh) I think it looks great. Considering learning how to scratch model for GTA V, if time permits... The nice thing is that I might not have to make from scratch because of the talented modelers that put up their amazing work for the community.

ELS has no bloom
Nice DoubleHelix, short, simple yet very informative post. Search doesn't always answer the question or find the right answer, so nice to have this info in one place for reference.

ELS has no bloom
I do know from many past posts about the game's stability that playing the game from the additional DLCs are a bit more stable at the start. I didn't want to install them for space reasons in the past and have just stuck with vanilla GTA even with a new computer. How is it working now? (It has to be something simple because I did some testing of fresh installs and discovered a bit more... NO .ini/value changes needed at all.. Just copy and replace, copy and replace, copy and replace in the right order. The game looks good exactly like the image I posted earlier. I did a streamlined/simple install for Vanilla GTAIV, but there is no reason why it wouldn't work with EFLC/TLAD. But I have no idea on how the DLC directories are structured so can't help there.)

ELS has no bloom
I am curious, how many visualsettings.dat did you find. Did you have 2-3 of them to change? Need someone else to answer if the timecyc files could possibly cause those issues. Maybe one of the ENBs replaced some of those files and you weren't aware. From your first post about testing ENBs, did you play around with just default ELS before installing the ENBs. And how did that look? If I think of anything else, I'll post back here. I am exiting this thread because all I have left to say is nuke it all and start over. (even though I have a feeling that it is something simple being overlooked.) Hopefully someone else has some ideas and you won't have to reinstall. (if you do I suggest backing up your current GTAIV and just rename it to GTAIVtemp. Just keep it around to test and copy over a fresh GTAIV to start with just the basics.) Good Luck. KyneiZero

Game crashes after new install
Yea, I have never really diagnosed issues through LCPDFR and any related mod log files. The knowledge base and maybe admins and support staff would be best in this case. I've figured out some problems through past experiences of trial and error testing. I can't be sure if the poster has linked the most updated logs, but I think one of them shows ELS is installed and has 9 vehicle slots enabled. Which is more than the default has on I think. I am only speculating, but the poster may have changed quite a few .ini settings or maybe using a custom one. Which I do not know if it has any effect. My scope of knowledge ends there and will have to leave for someone else to try. But before MIGHTY can get help, need to post a bit more about the install process and files used. Maybe if a Mod can post the checklist of items/needed files to verify before going through support.

Game crashes after new install
I'm not all that familiar with the log files. But the good news is that the advancehook and scripthook look correct(very common issue). But ELS is installed?? Because you failed to mention that and it makes it difficult for people to respond and pinpoint possible issues. Did you mod in any cars or ELS vehicles. If so, how many?

ELS has no bloom
I was hoping this would be a slam dunk because game4video is the only one I can get to work on my GTA IV. But here is one more thing, I only use GTA IV and not expansions. I think that may be throwing us for a loop. I checked some old posts and it looks plausible. I don't exactly know what the expansion folders are. But try finding and changing all of the visualsettings.dat. So folder for EFLC, TBOGT, TLAD. -Look for the - Common/Data/ folders in each and change the visualsettings.dat for ALL of them as well. If you only have the EFLC Folder, then great you only need to do this once. But others have suggested to update all the folders if you have them. As I posted before, when I install Game4video I only need to change one setting inside the (.dat) file to get it looking better. I have posted a pic on how it looks at 600. # Other emissive lights car.defaultlight.emissive.on 600 car.defaultlight.emissive.off 0.05 car.brakelight.emissive.on 15 car.brakelight.emissive.off 0.05 car.middlebrakelight.emissive.on 15 car.middlebrakelight.emissive.off 0.05 car.reversinglight.emissive.on 10 car.reversinglight.emissive.off 0.1 car.extralight.emissive.on 12 car.extralight.emissive.off 0.05

ELS has no bloom
Which ENB are you using? Because it could be a simple setting/value you need to change. Just got back from work and super tired, but I'm sure I don't see one mentioned in any of your posts. It can be more complicated than that, but you might as well post your visualsettings.dat from EvilJackCarter's post above . This is the default settings with ELS below. (I have to crank that value up to 600 with an ENB installed. Different ENBs affect the game different as some brighten and some will darken effects in your game.) # Other emissive lights car.defaultlight.emissive.on 90.00

ELS has no bloom
Holy crap, is that what happens when you go OVER 9000? Serious I have never seen it like that. Giant bluish/reddish marshmallows... or pillows.... i don't even. Funny though! :D I haven't had the best of luck with ENBs. But would like to help if I can. Can you attach an image highlighting what you have issues with. It will at least make it easier for users who do modify ENBs to point out ideas or possible settings to you.

LCPDFR 1.0D_2 Checkpoints?
Wow a really neat feature I missed out on because I skipped using 1.0c I noticed it from some LCPDFR videos and was wondering about that.

ELS 8.0 makes LCPDFR crash
Okay, now we have an idea that something else is also not set up right. I don't like it either, but the only way to find the problem is reinstall GTA IV with no other mods, nothing. When GTA IV is ready, install ELS 8.0 and let it copy everything over. You could install 1 ELS car just to test that it works and how it looks. After you are happy with ELS working, install LCPDFR 1.0d and let it copy/replace its files. For some people, there are sometimes problems with ELS + SNT key binds. Try installing Simple Native Trainer after LCPDFR. Read the 2nd post from (CouthInk4), If all this works okay, you can start adding whatever extra scripts you want. You want to make sure the basic parts (GTA IV, ELS, LCPDFR) are done correctly and test them one at a time. If you still have problems, it makes it easier for other people to help out if there are fewer things to look at and diagnose. Good luck.

ELS 8.0 makes LCPDFR crash
Simple version for you. You have an older version of AdvanceHook copied over and probably Scripthook as well. Find these 2 files from the LCPDFR installer and just copy them back over to your GTA IV. Hopefully this works and you no longer have to reinstall. =This is my log file which show the correct version. Who else Pre-Ordered GTA5?
I am curious if anyone took that GMG pre-order offer a week ago? I've never pre-ordered and it is not a thing I do. I was tempted this one time. But i've never used GMG either, even though they seem reputable. It looked like an almost too good to be true offer. But if GOG or steam did it, I wouldn't hesitate. I'm guessing those in the know, got a super deal out of it.

Anyone here play OMSI 2?
I have not played it either, but I have tried to follow news about it. I think Boeingtriple7 has given a pretty good summary. The only big stinker was the initial steam release. Huge uproar on steam forums on how terrible it was. This has been resolved since. I'll just say sometimes graphics do matter a lot. If you are desperate for a city bus sim, then go read a few more reviews and decide from there. My personal feeling, if ETS2 looked like OMSI 2... I might not have purchased Euro Truck. ETS2 has set a standard for me and I don't think I will accept less from "driving" sim games.

Inside SCS Software (Preview of DLC and American Truck Simulator)
Had fun with ETS 2. I really wish they would work on a Bus Simulator of that quality. Because no one else will try unfortunately.

http://www.portoflosangeles.org/newsroom/photo_gallery.asp Go there and half way down the page to the Security section. You can look at 2 Hi-Res photos of the crown vic. You can't see the whole design, but should get a good idea from the different angles that are shown. "Sworn to protect, dedicated to serve"

Not that I know of. EDIT: half of your post didn't show up originally. I think you understand what is happening now. You just have to decide how you want to approach it.
