  1. aznairsoftdude has put together some of my favourite cvpi. So Zelyth, his RCMP version can be pretty good to use if you are willing to overlook some physical differences. Basically the rear deck light and the flash pattern for it will also be bit off. (**i'm pretty sure** you have to use the Dec 2012 release which had the ELS lights set up incorrectly for the RCMP but good for Vancouver. His updated version in 2013 is good if you want to use it as intended for a RCMP vehicle in game. I believe the amber lighting was removed from the back of the lightbar.) Tim98's pack is really well done. I personally don't like the DriverSF model. I've been told it is more accurate in size but it just doesn't work for me. What is really amazing though is the setup he used for the rear lights/TA on the Collision Investigation unit. It is great and i push aside my preferences and load up that vehicle once in a while.
  2. The tahoe model is right here on LCPDFR. It is the only valor equipped vehicle i have tried ingame and i have to say that lightbar does not disappoint. '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  3. Yea i have seen the texture and it is pretty good. I have been wondering how good a Valor lightbar looks ingame and waiting on one to show up on a charger. So the texture is available, but lacking the car model. There is a usable siren for download which is good. (i have not tried it myself) '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  4. Cool thanks for throwing those ideas out. I looked up some more info and learned it is the Rumbler siren that i am quite enamoured with. (i'll just say the very first time one drives right next to you... holy moly.) It appears to be a separate siren system and when it grabbed my attention, i didn't even clue in to the regular siren that was running alongside it. Oh and yeah, firepoliceambulance always uploads great stuff.

  7. Glad someone found a download for the vehicle model. I couldnt figure out where i originally saw it. And Lonestranger's ambulance textures has the "Emergency Paramedic" "Advance Life Support Unit" and "Transfer Ambulance".

  9. Great stuff as usual. I will hold off, as everything is working well and i dont need to fix what's not broken. Of course keeping an eye on the feedback and see how it goes.
  10. It is his model and is the same. The download here has British Police texture saved. You should only change the colours of EMERGLIGHTS_EMIS in the WTD file and it should work. Good luck to you!   13. Finished texture for the car is 1 layer. When you make a new texture, it is good to work in more layers so you can see template and your texture at the same time. Car with NO template, you have to guess by putting your image in and see where it goes. Not fun to do. Which car model is it? From LCPDFR downloads?
  14. The couple of comments after yours, should give you enough info about why it is like that. An alternative is using Cruise Mode. It is similiar to steady burn, they don't flash. It looks alright if you are doing a traffic stop with guns drawn and need to take cover behind your door. I haven't tried it with LCPDFR 1.0a, but i would think it should work as before. Read the ELS PDF file to figure out how you want to configure it and which of the lights(extras) to toggle on steady burn.
  15. Trying to understand your question, a car template right? Something like this for the car you want to use. '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> You want the new image in the correct place of the car. -You can try what i said before and guess where it might be and put your image in the texture. Load the car and see how it looks. If it is wrong, go back and change it or load the original texture again. Some car models won't have a template. It will take lots of time and work.   16. Try learning how to use OPENIV. Make sure to back up the files or folders you are editing. So you dont have to reinstall the game if something goes wrong. I dont use OPENIV, but i believe it can open up the car model in 3d view and show you how the textures will look. So you dont have to start the game to see what changes you have made to the texture. Maybe try looking on youtube for OPENIV tutorials.
  17. You are asking about a mouse cursor right? No i dont think so. For anyone else wondering, you simply hold down CapsLock for the menu. Move your mouse around and it should highlight one of the buttons after a few seconds. It will light up in yellow, so stop your mouse over the button you want. Release CapsLock and it works. No mouse clicking or extra keys to hit. Really nice way to do it as explained in the PDF.
  18. I have not had that many crashes, though a new one i've never seen before kicked me out yesterday. I'm going to sit tight because it works well most of the time. Curious about the messages in LCPDFR.txt => "REPORT THIS ISSUE AT LCPDFR.COM BY INCLUDING THIS LOGFILE." Is it just generic message or will it help a specific problem?
  19. i haven't seen what the GTA V fire engines are like, but i like them new buses tho. =D
  20. I have default settings for policehelper and i tested it for 1.0a and it works as intended. (I never used the spawn behind car barrier in LCPDFR 0.95) It works on the first key press, i dont need to double tap it. With the POLICE(CVPI) and POLPATRIOT(which i have a F150 installed) it spawns behind perfectly. Really hard to diagnose with the many different configs and bindings any person can have. Probably not the first time you have heard this, but double check for key conflicts. I have run upto 6 different scripts at one time and CTRL+Z seems pretty unique to me so that is a little odd. Good Luck with that.
  21. Might be better for me to tweak my settings just to be safe. I had a call which spawned 8 suspects and half of them ran away when my backup showed up after 30seconds.. So i am thinking there wasn't enough time for things to possibly get ridiculous.
  22. The instructions you posted appear to be for ELS V6. And the ini file you have looks like ELS V7, correct? For ELS V7, you do not change the ENV Lights from els.ini - Go to the ELS Folder instead. And you will see the default_config.ini file that your els.ini [ FIRETRUCK ] is referencing. ..example of default_config settings [ ENV_LIGHT_COLORS ] Extra_1 = red Extra_2 = blue Extra_7 = amber default_config.ini - affects all your ELS vehicles. If you wish to have different ones, make a copy of this file and rename it to - firetruck.ini - AND then go back out to your els.ini file and update it so that the custom firetruck settings are picked. [ FIRETRUCK ] Status = on File = default_config change to firetruck (so it picks the firetruck.ini that you made - make new ini files if you want different env lights for your police/police2/noose and rename accordingly, etc...) This should get you through the initial learning curve. The ELS V7 PDF file will list other applicable colours and other cool options you may want to toy with.
  23. This won't force anybody's hand. Bullying type tactics dont do good for anyone. Some Exec might see this as some "computer hacker" meddling with their properties and secrets. A sign that software pirates are getting ready for it. Now your other post about the sales, yes there is a simple point there with MONEY talks. I could not find any numbers for GTA IV console VS PC sales. But if it is still a prevailing thought that PC users have a high ratio of pirating games, we will lose either way. And the MONEY will be telling them there isn't much room to maneuver. They will either only devote enough resources to get it just to work....(even though GTA IV is running a bit more stable for me with tweaks, i'm not interested in a "good enough" port). Or they see that a dedicated version for the PC won't rake it in for them due to risks of low or mediocre sales. Which leads to the point above,, or they won't release on PC. (I want GTA to be the best thing possible. I hope they take advantage of the platform being worked on and add tech, features. And the only fair reasoning not to is if they have to have cross platform compatibility for multiplayer... no excuse there) I am optimistic about a PC release basing it on past history. About the posted info. The known issue report with peds and dropped items exploding when shot or the rocket launcher instantly gibbing the player. Funny stuff, of course no way we will ever get to see inside dev testing if there is such a recording. Now that is what we should be discussing about the info provided. Though it doesn't seem that was the Poster's intent from the subject title. I don't want to see every information post about GTA V delve into hackneyed theories on why it must come out on the PC. I feel it degrades any possible discussions on news and happenings related to GTA V. And one of the posters mentioned that it is possible, though i also think it is unlikely that they may have put in some development into the PC version and the numbers and work put in wouldnt be worth it for them. And even though someone has gleaned this info, the project may already be dead on the table.
