Coquitlam RCMP CVPI
Looks good in action. Do you run any ENBs or prefer not to because of performance? Looks like the default ELS visual settings. I am willing to accept a fps hit that can drop my game to 35-40fps because the ENB visual difference is too great for me.

LSPD Quotes
Yea if we get to that point, then the GTA V version of the mod will be as good or even better than LCPDFR. The only reasons to keep playing GTA IV would be higher PC performance requirements for GTA V or you prefer Liberty City. And i would think after some time, there will be crafty people attempting to convert Liberty City into GTA V.

Coquitlam RCMP CVPI
Really like the model, but particularly the Tomar lightbar looks great. Excited to stop using the other tomar equiped vehicle i downloaded. It is nice, but the player model will always have their legs/feet clip through the floor... 1 question and 1 comment. Will it have a non-rambar version? And i believe the blue/red colours are reversed. Easily changed in the texture i assume. '' target='_blank'>>

GTA V on next-gen. Opinions?
So this is something i heard very early on at the original release last year. There are no free-roaming AI police. They only show up when you are wanted status. Was this true? and if so did they add it on next-gen since there are so many more things spawning.

RCMP IRSU skin update
Looking pretty good on that model. We already know that LoneStranger is a KING! He has a IRSU texture that i always use on a slicktop crown vic(older bxbugs123 model i think). But good on you to work on one so more people can apply it to their favourite models. Btw have you seen any slicktop Vics with the proper RCMP rear lighting setup?

Random Npc Pullovers
You have seen the static, pre-spawned vehicle stop near middle park though? Not the same thing as watching the pull over happen. But pretty neat things still happen. i had a car chase go by that area and i was hanging back due to the high speeds. The suspect zooms by and that npc cop stops looking at the vehicle he pulled over and sees all this and 2 cvpi right on the suspect's tail. He darts for his vehicle as i pass him and joins the pursuit right behind me. (smokey and the bandit level funny)

Is using your personal car legal?
Every couple of years the issue of police impersonators comes up. And people scrutinize on what is required by law for unmarked police vehicles. It could be different by state. The usual issues are having "proper" plates, and/or window stickers issued by the gov or police force. And that doesn't compromise the stealth nature of the vehicle. (some states require it, but aren't necessarily followed to the letter) I can understand that not everyone will have a phone handy to call out if they feel something is wrong, or reception depending on where they are driving.

Looking for Omaha City Police Car
Getting a super accurate model is doubtful. If you are really lucky someone may have modeled something very close. And there have been so many skins/textures made, i would think the Omaha one would be here somewhere. Good luck though. Ooh a stealth caprice. '' target='_blank'>>

California Highway Patrol Pack[WIP/REL Update Thread]
I prefer using marked slicktop vehicles. So this is shaping up to be a cool pack. Really looking forward to the: Nstockade: "California Highway Patrol" Slicktop Unit Dual Stacked Rear Lighting setup. There is a model with a slightly different configuration made for my hometown. And it looks pretty wicked ingame, i don't use it often because that particular cvpi model(Vancouver Pack) is much bigger than all the other crown vics i prefer to use in my pack. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

View from the rear side
Great looking texture, enough details and bold without being too busy. And beautiful charger, if i had one like this i would not ever need another charger model.

Rambar?
That is a nice livery, it piqued my interest and i went to look at some pics for you. It is a Setina, even though the details are very small. Look at the Max res versions of those pictures and the markings should be enough. '' target='_blank'>> '' target='_blank'>> Yea and that picture of the PB-300 looks like what they use on the crown vics. The charger one is different and even more interesting, is the Ford PIU vehicle uses one that looks exactly like the PB-300 except the top of the rambar is a slanted straight edge instead of the rounded one on the crown vic.

FireFighter mod by gangrenn
I've always wanted to see interesting situations in LCPDFR that involves the fire services and how the police can assist.(without having to install multiple scripts, trainers to get something to work) So going the other way, my question is will you have scenarios that you can call in the PD or involve them? I think it will be great for variety and spice things up. Something as simple as calling in PD to assist in traffic control(just a simple roadblock, as i know your focus is on fire rescue features). Or something bigger, like a crime scene. The police would already be at the scene of a shooting/robbery. You would be called in to check on the injured. I think the police elements can be static at the scene.(i am taking into consideration that it is a lot of work. And it may be easier for you to script them to stand around only rather than anything complex.) The player giving medical aid is the main purpose of course. But the extra bit with police units would be visually amazing to drive into a major crime/accident scene. Great work gangrenn, your mod is looking sweet.

Vancouver Font
This is probably a good place to ask. What font is the POLICE lettering using? '' target='_blank'>> I know lonestranger made a texture for the old style. But he is not around these boards anymore.

2011 and up Unmarked chargers?
Don't believe this has been mentioned yet. Try Cj24's slicktop tahoe/charger pack. '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> I started using that slicktop charger and haven't changed it since.

Saint John, New Brunswick Police Ford Crown Victoria
That looks nice. I thought it was the military police design when i first glimpse the tiny thumbnail picture.

Are you playing from the regular game or the episodes / EFLC? '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> This only helps if it is the regular game. (first thing i do after a clean install of GTA IV on Steam) Another option to think about is 1.0b & 1.0c for LCPDFR. Obviously try 1.0c first. 1.0b seems pretty stable as well. **this may not affect everyone, but i stopped using programs that have the On-Screen Display like RivaTuner/Afterburner/EVGA. I was having problems with my hardware and uninstalled a few things to troubleshoot. And by chance i noticed my GTA IV was running more stable. Now it could just be a performance issue my system couldn't cope with. Or maybe related to DirectX/D3D. If you are desperate, you may want to look into it. As always, back up important files and settings and don't mess with system settings if you aren't absolutely sure what everything does. ///MY PC - i5 3570 / 8GB Ram / Win 7 Home64 / GTX 660

Older Versions of LCPDFR
It will depend on what mods you use in your game, but i suggest installing only what you consider essential and backing up that folder. Useful if you decide to use a completely new car pack, try out some enbs or if you start experiencing frequent crash problems. That way you may only spend 3-5 minutes just copying tested and preconfigured files/folders over. Rather than reinstalling and tinkering settings for 20min or more, a lot more. My personal method: 1) I start off with the base GTA IV installation from steam, so no testing needed. Your game, video, sound options are saved somewhere else so it doesnt matter if you frequently delete/replace your GTA IV game folder. 2) The next step is LCPDFR because it really is the major component. Install that onto GTA IV and test a bit in game to make sure it is relatively stable. And also set up options in the ini for callouts/scenarios/keybinds however you like them. 3) ELS 8 is a requirement for me. It is very easy to install which is great for testing. I usually add only 1 or 2 modded vehicles to test and familiarize with the settings. Limited configuring because your settings will change based on what cars you use. (i revert the vehicles.img to default once i finish testing) Test a bit more for reliability and after all that i backup the entire folder. So now i have a preconfigured GTA IV + LCPDFR + ELS 8 that i know will always work and rarely ever have to install these individual components again! Just about 5 minutes(slow HDD) to copy it over and replace any bad installs. At this point it is plug and play whatever you want. Put in cars using OPEN IV or SPARK. Most scripts i use simply require you to copy the script folder into GTV IV. This is also very simple to deal with and troubleshoot if needed. (another convenient option is to put in scripts you are familiar with inside the backup. I like using the TowingScript and very rarely have issues with it. I could include it.... but i personally like to keep things simple and basic. I dont bother with any other scripts in my backup.) So 5mins for LCPDFR+ELS 8 recovery. Anywhere from an extra 3min to 15mins for scripts, adding cars and how picky i am with customizing each ELS vehicle slot.. This makes it much easier for me to get back to the game and enjoy it for as long as possible. At the very worst, you would have 15gb of the game you are using and 15gb of backup. 30gb isn't too bad to save a lot of headaches. The only arrogance i see in this topic is from you. No one has all the answers. Nobody will have the exact same hardware, software, driver settings, adware/spyware whatever crap you can name. Other users and the devs will try to help in what way they can. That is all we can do. Your post is the only disruptive one in this thread. Being constructive is giving tips, troubleshoot for other users or give as *detailed* bug reports as you can to the Devs. It is that simple. If you don't get it and want to leave, good on you to figure that out.

Older Versions of LCPDFR
I don't take chances with new versions. Because i'm sure you all can attest to how aggravating it was crashing in 0.95rc after 1min, 10min and lucky if you could play for 30mins. When i played 0.95rc i even backup and use new install folders for changing or adding 2-3 new vehicles. Harddrive space is the only issue. I currently have 6 backup folders and that is 6*15gb. For anyone new, i suggest to back up your folder if you have a car pack or ENB you like in a good place. The less reinstalling/configuring i have to do, the more i will load up the game because feeling frustrated about a game kills the entire purpose of it.

LCPDFR 1.0c Hotfix
The checkpoint feature sounds really interesting. I have been looking for an alternative to the road barrier from PoliceHelper. So i dont have to go back to 0.95rc to manage road checkpoints easily.
