  1. I dont have an answer or fix to your problem. I have experienced a similiar issue with some ENBs that muck up my water like that. I can not tell if that is also causing your issues. But maybe it will give you some ideas. There are a few posters here who tweak ENBs quite often, hopefully they step in here and confirm if you can fix it through ENBs.
  2. I have checked out some of your 45'ish min videos which were pretty cool.. but holy cow, 2hrs, is it a movie? ///joking...
  3. Haha, so true. It is GTA after all, it makes sense.
  4. If they were to implement it, the best way i feel would be a "difficulty" option you can check. A bit more fair for everyone.
  5. being interactive when possible and live streaming is really neat. GTA IV itself is sort finicky with ALT-Tabing, crashing in general. haha much better with other games. I would like to try someday, but 0.5 upload..... not for a freakin while....
  6. I am not going to comment on the legitimacy of the opening poster's claims. That is what the discussion and people asking questions will lead to. Maybe the best course of action is not to post if you are not trying to further the discussion. Either we will find out it is full of shat or something WIP. Even if it is fake, two wrongs dont make a right. You pretty much insinuated, called the poster a liar in your very first reply. This only shows people what communities and forums they wouldnt want to be a part of.
  7. So how is the viewer interest on it. Are the viewers wanting to play LCPDFR? Whenever GTA comes up, the viewers flock to speedrunning or someone doing something outrageous...
  8. Is this due to a hardware/performance issue? I remembering reading some of the older versions had huge? buildings and that caused problems/horrible slowdown.
  9. '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> wallpapers right? Some nice MoonShine in there.
  10. If only that was said a week ago. har har har..
  11. There is that funny thing some people do on lcpdfr videos with spawning coffee cup or radio in their hands. I never bothered trying it so i don't know if it is an extra mod/download... Someone else will have to answer that one. Police Radio, do you mean in the background while you are playing? '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  12. Very good chance that should do it. Find an older version of Game4Video ENB and install it first. If your friend installed the latest version, it may be missing just the one file -> d3d9.dll i downloaded an older version and added back just this one file and it started working again.
  13. I really cant see savegames fudging up everything when you have an enb installed. And being fine when the enb is gone. I dont know enough about the enbs and what other options you can tinker with. If worse comes to worse, make sure to backup the saves and start everything fresh. Not really difficult, i find it annoying to move my savegames around and back and forth. Cause GTA IV doesnt use the usual save locations like so many of my other games do. I have forgotten and lost a save this way before. I hope someone else may have some insight. But definately make a backup of a working, new install if you haven't already. So it is just a fresh install of GTA IV and only LCPDFR installed and working (throw in ELS7 if you are comfortable with the settings). Comes in handy and you can easily "plug in" (pun intended) mods and scripts as you please for testing and reinstalling.
  14. Very much agree, useful thing to do! I suggest to have one around unless space is a concern. Because let's say next month you find another awesome enb and you want to use that instead, you won't have to reconfigure every single thing and with the default stuff already optimized, less things to troubleshoot hopefully. So it is simply the ENB.. i mean as soon as you remove it, the opening crash goes away?
  15. And i wonder where the crosshairs will be pointed next.
  16. Tough topic to crack. When "porting" is talked about, it doesn't have a black and white definition for everyone. Admittedly it is slanted a little more to the negative in my post. A lot of console games are made on development boxes(aka PCs) and coded, built around the console and how it utilizes its systems. It is different, but not completely foreign. I wouldn't expect a complete 100% rewrite and they shouldn't have to do that. Art and audio assets are already there. In the end for me it comes down to intention. They either plan to patch it/duct tape the ported console version enough so it works "okay". Or they will build around what is core and usable. Adding new features or taking advantage of what is possible on PC but not on the console. I guess it is pretty much buying on principle. There's no way i think they would care if they lose a sale. And i'm sure a lot of people here won't either, there is no reason to because it is my choice. The ball is entirely in Rockstar's court of course, they will show us how much they care about PC gamers and you'll either take it or walk away. This needs fact checking maybe, i vaguely remember reading that GTA IV was not completely in house. An outside Dev Studio worked on a lot of the PC version. But Rockstar still put the rubber stamp on and it meant "good enough". Not so great words to live by...
  17. I always like these type of videos on twitch. Random things like the guy who sculpts once in awhile and there was another person who was 3d-modeling an entire city, but i have since lost the link and did not remember to follow his channel.
  18. It may surprise you,, but there are some companies that care and will make the best game possible for the platfrom. Does it make sense financially, it could but there is a lot of "what if". And no one can foresee if a mediocre port(which will cost less to produce) can bring in the sales numbers. It may sell less because a lot of people already know what to expect from a port.... Their reputation for the PC platform obviously won't go up. A whole lot of negatives to do a "port", but maybe they don't care.
  19. Nice, i dont have an account at the emergency forums. But now i can follow it here! Cheers,
  20. Long Answer just to head off any more unrelated questions: i made it to cover up the cartoony GTA radar/map which didnt add anything to LCPDFR policing videos. It just looks out of place to me and detracts from what is onscreen. I customized each button, put text and little dispatch updates on the "computer screen" which is really just a blue rectangle. Pasted screenshots of the vehicles i wanted to find and chase my suspects in. **The outer case/panel is the one thing not mine, but heavily modified. Put quite some time into it and it is almost like a logo for some of my videos. So i don't intend to release the graphic. I recommend for you to find a panel/control box picture for your favourite lighting/siren system and attach a blue screen to it. Find an outer cover to house the controls and screen. And you can even put your own name on it! Thank you for the interest!
  21. Gahhh, one of those nights. Spent 3 minutes combing through the car options but still managed to miss it. I deserve a rep down for my blindness and stupidity. But i'll rep you both up instead. Thanks!!
  22. Is there a way to remove the blue chevron from the saved cars? I have turned off all blip options i can find and looked through SNT and did not see anything useful. There are 4 chevrons visible in the screenshot and of course i would like to turn it off for future videos if possible.
  23. Fully agree, there isn't much of a learning curve. Take the 15-20mins or so and read the user guide and maybe another 10mins to re-read or think about how it works/start editing the ini files. Half an hour used and untold hours saved from constant crashing, weird errors and restarting your game. Not too shabby, worthwhile trade off. Once you "get it", you now have extra options/customization and some of it is automated. You get a cool new effect and you are still pressing just that 1 or 2 keys.
  24. That is great to hear. But i have seen people(not associated with the PD, but sometimes locals i think) get riled up over the portrayal of their dept ingame. Some people(not many) do post disclaimers in the video descriptions or the intro to the video which i think is a benefit to everyone. (i need to get started writing my own) Once they say no, you have to respect that. It is too bad though. Just the facts, Sir. Good article, it has comments from both sides. And it gives you the two viewpoints(good or bad) of what people may see or do inside the game. It is simple and leaves you to make your opinion. Cheers,
  25. How do you spawn the ped in the passenger seat, it has bugged me for a while... Never did figure it out. I have workarounds, but it doesn't really "work" that great. Only very... very... specific settings.... And too time consuming to be worth fussing over...
