  1. You most likely have a conflict in plugin-key-setup What plugin are installed? Disable each until you have normal behaviour
  2. You got something there. The penal institution in the dessert is actually not used in any gameplay i know of. I believe there is a plugin that makes prisoners enter a prison-bus and one where the prisoners takes command over a bus, but actually using the state-prison for gameplay, that is not done afaik. The issue is that even as uniformed officer, you cant get into the area. Wonder if it is possible if the prison-guard character is chosen as avatar.. Hmmm(?) Gameplay with prison breakouts ao riots would be interesting, but doubt it can be realized
  3. aaand there is a whole topic for it:
  4. Not at all a LSPDFR issue, but you need to make sure * Steam is working * Game is updated * Game is verified
  5. Witch leads to the only sane decision: Dont use software from porn-sites
  6. Key functions can be modified in plugins, so if you have any plugins installed, those can create conflicts with default LSPDFR-keys. If you have plugins installed, check in the installation readme it the plugin has an INI-file. Some let you change what keys the plugin uses. That makes it possible to avoid conflicts
  7. Interesting.. I have never thought about how that scanner file system worked. I need to do some experiments, but it looks like some semi clever trickery is done with file/folders combo-name -------- I experimented and its like woooo.. The real mystery is what takes place in the folders s_f_y_cop_* s_m_y_cop_* Those are simply weird, and perhaps be explained through some alias-naming under the hood Wont touch those... The other ones seems to use some parsing of folder+file-name I think using scannerAudio imply that the files are to be found in that part of the installation, the files 1.wav 2.wav ..n.wav should be inside the folder ..GTAV\lspdfr\audio\scanner\myOwn_ScannerFolder. But with the names myOwn_ScannerFolder_1.wav myOwn_ScannerFolder_2.wav myOwn_ScannerFolder_3.wav : myOwn_ScannerFolder_<n>.wav I made the experiment where i duplicated the folder ON_FOOT and renamed it ON_FOOD : ) I also renamed both files inside to ON_FOOD_01 & ON_FOOD_02" Then i made the a key-opp method: Activating d3 played both soundfiles chained! That is equivalent to making your own folder and own files and to have them played chained. Maby this is because All files in the library Scanner has both the subfolder-name as well as an own file-name as concatenated full name! If we look at the name of one file VEHICLE_CATEGORY_SERVICE_VEHICLE_01.wav Then that one file is inside a folder named scanner\VEHICLE_CATEGORY So it looks like the engine passes the folder name out of the file-name, makes the folder operation, select the file, and plays it, or if several files are used, play them all chained! So what would make that fail. 1) Audio-codex! The wavefiles must be correct sample-sized! 2) file-folder errors The path is determined to be ..GTAV\lspdfr\audio\scanner\ Then the folder-name should be identical to part of the file-name, and the type wav should be omitted That does work! Maby i am over-thinking something, especially the s_f_y_cop_ thing.. but the bottomline is That it does work!
  8. Sadly it is No for EPIC. EPIC does not allow you to keep an un-updated gameversion. You can lock the game from automatic updates, but there will be no launch-option. The only option is "Update game"
  9. What he means is that you will get banned from GTAOnline if you go Online with the MOD LSPDFR activated or any other MOD installed. You cant get banned from LSPDFRor GTA-Story-mode. The way this is solved by those that want to play both GTAOnline and LSPDFR plus all the MODS you can find, is to have two folders with the game: One vanilla with no MODS at all or playing GTAVOnline, and one other folder with LSPDFR plus all the mods they like to have. Then they just rename the LSPDFR-GTA-folder to anything else than GTAV when they go online. You will never get into trouble when you play in Story-mode, no matter what MODS you have chosen to install. Story-mode is local on your PC only. Weather you should choose EPIC or STEAM as your platform should really only depend on if you have one of either already, and if not, then look for the best deal for GTAV basegame.
  10. If you mean in one process -No not afaik, but it is not necessary or even advised to use R* to get GTA running. You DO need to enter EPIC. Lasr week EPIC had insane long response time, but i believe it got fixed over monday, at least EPIC works better for me now. When / if the game-portal (EPIC or STEAM or any other) is down there is n0thing you can do! That is how they threat us the customers, and you agree to being screwed asa you accept being on their platform! They simply claim the rights to not give you service, and we agree as if we were dodo-birds, but also because we cant disagree. If we do, the page just shut down, so thére... Same thing if you are off-line. No access to any game on your pc. Game-portals like EPIC could easily make a dummy server for local access, but they dont care, and why should they? Anywitch This https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/125624-rph-does-not-open-game/ always works -provided you can get online and EPIC is online as well..
  11. 100% agreed ! It is even more frustrating because there is no option to exclude the call-out type of "Apprehend wanted suspect". Further more the call-out is poorly designed. The suspect will be at the exact same location -Always! I ignore that call-out
  12. I know that Charlies 686 has some where shots are not fired, but you have to understand that gta is a game about car-chases! That is the main gameplay element: Fast pursuit with excellent car-physics. There are no fun in escorting old citizen over a street, or distributing blankets to hobo's under a bridge. It may sound 'interesting' at first, but after you have done that type of callout a few times, they are boring.. The question about callout frequencies can be controlled/ solved with callout managers
  13. fixed on discord -right?
  14. Actually modding the AI is a bit tricky. It would not be difficult to make a timer that at 'some' timespan would create a firetruck/ ambulance/ or policecar and send them to a random destination from a list with vectors, but .. The gameplay would be quite limited. Would you like a plugin that did that? LSPDFR already has ambient events. If You want more ambient events You an raise the frequency of at least some ambient events in your config, but these are ambient-events that involve you as Player. Pure aesthetic ambience is afaik not possible to increase.
  15. The famous plugins Assorted Calloust by Albo1125
  16. I do not understand this sentence (?) What 'thing' happened? -But never mind that You can easily change to a cop without entering a police-station. ! Unless you have deliberately disabled console, or changed default key-setup do this: After LSPDFR is fully loaded, press F4 You will get a console (CLI) Inside the CLI type du CLI will now suggest forceDuty by highlighting that CLI-option press TAB forceDuty will be entered in CLI Press Enter Your avatar should change to a default police-officer Then you can enter a station and create an avatar. If it does not work, you can have my profile-file, but try the CLI method, and see if it works
  17. Second part of the action Let me know what you think
  18. actually that takes more resources Adding .0 makes the compiler threat the var as a Double if we use compile directive 'f' the compiler will make a single precision floating point number instead. So 100f is a float Using compile directive f is the right c# syntax for parametric floats, but for new coders it looks 'odd'
  19. Absolutely! if (shouldCreatePursuit && Game.LocalPlayer.Character.Position.DistanceTo(SpawnPoint) <= 100f ) { shouldCreatePursuit=false //only create pursuit once : : } would be the correct way to do it I btw did not see your post, i think we almost posted simultaneous though you were a tad faster 😛
  20. You say that the pursuit should be created if PLC < 100f form a vector-point That will be true as long as PLC is that, and that will make your plugin create pursuit over and over. Make a boolean short-circuit shouldCreatePursuit if (Game.LocalPlayer.Character.Position.DistanceTo(SpawnPoint) <= 100f && shouldCreatePursuit) { shouldCreatePursuit=false //only create pursuit once : : }
  21. Yes! Your whole approach is wrong. Bundle installing is not a good descission. Do like this: * Decide one plugin you want * Make sure that one plugin is available from a trusted site! -This site f.i. https://www.lcpdfr.com/ -Scroll down to "Featured mods" * If not on this site, search for posts about that plugin and make sure it is updated and compatible with current LSPDFR release. Search here: https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/forum/920-lspdfr-04-support/ You could ask the experts right there about update-status of thé plugin. After you have done all that footwork, DL the plugin and read the installation readme!!! Thén and not before -Install that specific plugin! Start LPDFR and make a thorough test of functionality for thát one plugin If all went well, you start that whole process for the next plugin you would like to use. Now you have a structure for your plugin-installation, and trouble-shooting is way simpler than when you install a handful of plugins at the same time.
  22. You need to approach the devs of both modes and suggest them to implement what you ask for. It is definitively possible to make a suspect preserve health, no matter what happens to him, but there are no default ways, it has to be coded. I can make it, but i would not be able to guarantee that it would not conflict with one or both of your plugins.
  23. Well not en default game. I made my own method where the driver slows down and crawl forward for a while, then he leaves the car and puts his hands up -Nice- except.. Vanilla LSPDFR shorts that off.. I think the most important thing to understand is how Vanilla LSPDFR actually controll Focused Ped behaviour. All the behaviour you see in chases is the result of continuous commands. That is important because it blocks plugin-inputs from taking control of focused Peds. The result is that you can do things to random peds that is quite neat, but the same cant be done to Peds in chases, because they are focused. That blocks for breaking out of arrest-sequences that are hanging (seen as 'blocker' in log), but also blocks PIT on fleeing suspects. You can find posts here from amo Echoo that are pleading for ways to 'un-arrest' suspects, because that would simply make all interactions much simpler. TL:DR short-version: No! Hopefully -Yet.
  24. There is non. This will happen randomly in vanilla-LSPDFR (no pluhin loaded) Next time it happen i will shoot some video of it, and link it, but as it is with random bugs, very difficult to squash
