Graphics/Textures struggling?
To be honest, I just started using the Chikmaru's command line a few days ago after someone posted it, and it works wonders for my machine. I was very pleasantly surprised. I have absolutely no texture loss and a small boost in FPS, when using my high poly ELS cars. I have always had a bit of texture loss after 30-45 minutes, but not any longer. Never been a fan of command lines either, the ones I've tried (posted here) always made things worse. My laptop ATI card uses up to 4-gigs of vRam and I think the -availablevidmem 2 forces my card to use all of it. Just an educated guess. I guess it's a matter of what the machine likes, and no two are the same. Good day, DrDetroit

This guy for real? You can't install it and get it working because you don't know what you're doing means it's a bad mod!? You're just did a bad install and are clueless to ask for assistance. Use Traffic Load or Chikmaru's Real Traffic. The later comes with a command line that will help with the texture loss. Traffic Flow is awful. DrDetroit

Good luck with that. You probably will not have textures by the time you mod all 80-90 cars. DrDetroit

Game crashing
Remove the SNT and Braveheart scripts entirely and try it. Get them out of your scripts folder and see what happens. Other than that, can't imagine what else it could be other than some conflict or a bad install. A shot in the dark but maybe try running the Diagnostic Tool and see if your missing anything, although I highly doubt it since you can get LCPDFR to run. It's at the bottom of the download page. EDIT: You could also try using a different asi loader. If you ahve dsound, try xlive or vise versa. Worth a try. DrDetroit

More realistic AI during traffic stop or calls
That's why you have to utilize the road barrier function that is included with Police Helper. Will stop your car from getting rear ended everytime. Also, try using paragraphs bro. It's so hard to read a post that is all f'ed up like yours. Every new thought deserves a new paragraph (just like this). DrDetroit

In game option, go to graphics tab and turn off shadows and water quality to low (or off, can't remember which). Turn off V-Sync and reduce detail and vehicle sliders. Also, try lowering your mip-map to performance and turn off AA and AF. Not sure what kind of graphics card you have, but hopefully it's at least 1meg (EDIT: Just noticed you do have 1gig). EDIT: Sorry, didn't see your specs before posting. Like the above post, your GPU or processor could be having issues. DrDetroit

Game crashing
Kind of an oddball issue, possibly a conflict with the trainer or a bad install of LCPPDFR. I'd try and disable the trainer and see if the game crashes. If it still does, try reinstalling LCPDFR. DrDetroit

Hi, I need some assistance
Same issue here. It's sporadic though, and only on non-els cars in my police and police2 slots. I've never been able to figure it out either. I too run the Stream version of EFLC. Has nothing to do with ELS or ELS vehicles. I installed the strobes mod so when the lightbar does not spawn, the AI cars still have the headlight and taillight strobes/flashers. DrDetroit

[Game Crippling] Slow Motion Bug
With the new PC usually comes a bunch of bloatware, always running in the background chewing up resources GTAIV could be using. Get rid of that stuff and turn off any uncessary processes that are running. Also, I guess some have issues with Windows-8, so check out the pinned thread in support. You could try turning down shadows and water quality, in the graphics tab when in-game. Also, dial down the distance and detail settings and see if that helps. Also, maybe go into your graphics card setting and turn down mip-mapping to performance if still stuttering after reducing graphic settings. Good luck, DrDetroit

ELS 7 How Disable AI Cop Cleaner
Go to your settings in the ELS.ini and set the following lines to a higher value (I have adjusted mine already, you can try and see if it helps): Els_Range_Pl = 400 Els_Range_Ai = 850 Should help with the spawning issues. DrDetroit

General LCPD:FR questions plus some others
1) Never used, it. When in doubt, read the read-me files included. 2) That car pack is huge. Remember, the more high poly cars you use, the more likely they are to cause issues with textures and crashing. I have a few civillian cars modded up, but not the ones that spawn all the time. I just modded up my higher end cars, like the Porsche, BMW and Austin Martin as they do not spawn very often and hence do not cause issue. I have most of the bikes modded up real nice with no issues. 3) Look through the download sections here and at gtapolicemods.com or gta4-mods.com. I like NickieBs stuff, Nutt, CJ24 and many others here. 4) You need to get a 100% complete save game. You can find one at the above mentioned sites. 5) I've never had this problem, I have read that some do. Has something to do with the arrest system when on the runway or in the "restricted area". It will keep spawning cop cars becuase you are actively wanted, but LCPDFR will keep resetting that status, and if you have a bunch of high-poly cars, it may crash your game. Best fix, don't go there. Same with the UN building in Algonquin. 6) Not sure. I don't do MP. Good luck! DrDetroit

Combat Shotgun Causes Crash - Need fix/mod
Like Iconography and Break said, you must be using a save game with that bad mod saved. Use a new save game after the reinstallation or replaced backup files, and you should be fine. If you replace the corrupt weapons.info and weapons.img, no way you can still have an issue with a bad/corrupt shotgun mod file unless you're using the old save game. You could try replacing that shotgun with a different one that you can DL at GTA4-mods.com. There are some really nice alternatives. DrDetroit

IF This Shit Is Not Fixed
That first vid is very well done, funny too. God I love this game. They do a pretty good job with the AI, not perfect (at all), but pretty damn good and it will just keep getting better. I can't think of a game that has a good random AI with all the little nuances. The random peds really make the city feel alive and breathing...not even TES get's this close and I really dig Oblivion and Skyrim. DrDetroit

What is the point of the low poly models?
I switch between Traffic Load and Chikmaru's Real Traffic. You get all of the 80-90 cars offered, and the AI cars don't spawn on the beach, in alley ways, the Coney Island boardwalk, or on top of your cruiser. Any yes, low-poly vehicles will keep your game much more stable and will not cause texture loss. I use a nice balance of low-poly for most of my police slots, and use slots that don't spawn every often (if ever) for my really nice high-poly ELS cars/trucks. Good day, DrDetroit

EFLC Will Not Uninstall
Check the registry again Broham. That's got to be your problem, assuming you removed the folders left behind. DrDetroit
