  1. I seen one of those in my neighborhood a few months ago. Cops use those cars for surveillance and such. Anyhow, this guy was sitting in front of my house for 12-hours straight, so I walk up to him to find out what the heck is going on. As I walked up, I noticed the tough-book in the cradle, and knew it was a cop. He said was waiting for a neighbor to return in regards to a SS Disability Scam and waiting to see if the person was mobile. He sat out there for two days, 12-18 hours straight....never got out of the car. Man, that's got to be tough. DrDetroit
  2. Everybody needs to take a break to take care of business once in a while. You'll be modding up GTAV soon enough. Good works man, DrDetroit
  3. Plus you have the armored truck heist, which is straight outta Heat, one of the best cop/robbers movie ever made. Bank heist looks like Heat also...epic shit. Can not wait for this. That settles it. I'm just going to have to get a console, I can't sit and wait till the PC version comes out a year later, while everybody here, and all over the net, raving about the game. DrDetroit
  4. Looks like the street from Training Day, where Ethan Hawke kicked the crap outta Denzel (after taking a nice beating himself I might add). DrDetroit
  5. Try forcing the call-out with Alt+F11. Sometimes it spawns, sometimes not, depending if the game spawns the proper models. A few times I get a "disregard-code-4" and a few minutes later I'll pass by the spawned ped or car hovering in the air, motionless/lifeless. DrDetroit
  6. Man excellent skins, mad skills! But you need to have someone who knows how to take screen shots post those for you. Yours are all stretched and probably taken in 1024 resolution. Very nice work, will def download when posted. DrDetroit
  7. Awesome skin! Love the blue and white.
  8. Buy it from Steam, GTAIV and EFLC pack are on sale for $5 I believe. DrDetroit
  9. Takes far more knowledge than can be expressed in this thread. Good luck though. DrDetroit
  10. There is a mod for the radio to be on at all times, while on foot or in the car. It's at GTA4-mods.com, just do a search. DrDetroit
  11. Yup, the IVdashcam will lag your game for sure. Had to remove it as well, now I'm running a much less demanding radar script (PSS I think). DrDetroit
  12. Is the policehelper script in the script folder? What modded cars and in what slots? Els? What other mods are you running? DrDetroit
  13. In game, turn off shadows completely and set water quality to low. Everything should be low/med. Check graphics card settings; reduce mipmap to performance, and turn off (or set to Application Preference) AA and AF. Turn off all unnecessary application that are running in your Task Manager processes and services. Also, you need more RAM, pickup 8-16 gigs if supported by your OS. RAM is pretty cheap right now. Good luck, DrDetroit
  14. It is the modded cars. Do not mod the police-police4 with high-poly ELS cars. Keep them non-els and as low poly as possible. There are some nice CVPIs out there that are under 1meg, although my police-police3 slots are Ekalb's vapid crusiers. Only mod the noose, FBI and/or nStockade slots with high-poly ELS cars. That will help alot. Also, try adding a command line -availablevidmem 2 can help if your card uses over 2gigs of vram or if you it's greater than a 2gig card in general. Another thing to keep in mind is if you are using Steam, use the LaunchGTAIV.exe or LaunchEFLC.exe instead of the Steam exe (GTAIV.exe I think). It's more stable, better FPS and less prone to texture loss running the Launch exe. Good luck, DrDetroit
  15. If running a vid card more than 2-gigs, make a text doc and name it commandline.txt and in it copy and paste -availablevidmem 2 , and put the commandline.txt in your main GTAIV root folder (or EFLC, which ever you play). That helped cure my game of almost all texture loss for the most part. Actually, my full command line reads: -norestrictions -nomemrestrict -percentvidmem 100 -availablevidmem 2 -noprecache -novblank Also, if running the Steam version, use the LaunchGTAIV.exe, or LaunchEFLC.exe, instead of the Steam GTAIV.exe that you would normally use. The Launch.exe runs much better FPS and texture loss is minimized. Another thing to remember is the more high-poly cars you use, especially in police slots that spawn often (police-police4) will increase texture issues. Keep the high-poly cars (ELS) in the noose, FBI,and other slots that don't spawn often. Good luck, DrDetroit
  16. CUT/PASTE: Try running the Diagnostic Tool, located at the bottom of the DL section. You can post results here (actually you should post in the "Support" forum), in any event, post the output. DrDetroit
  17. Yes, Happy Anniversary guys! Thank's so much for the greatest mod created!! You guys are the best. Good day, DrDetroit
  18. Not enough info. When does it crash (loading screen, while in-game...), what mods, what version of EFLC, system specs? Try running the Diagnostic Tool, located at the bottom of the DL section. You can post results here (actually you should post in the "Support" forum), in any event, post the output. Also; when reinstalling LCPDFR, make sure your are running the installer as Admin (right click the installer, select "Run as Admin"). Also, make sure the root GTAIV (or EFLC) folder is not set to read-only. Deselect it by right clicking the installer and uncheck the read0obly box (do this step first actually). DrDetroit
  19. First run the LCPDFR installer as Admin, and make sure root GTAIV folder you're installing to is not read-only (from previous post, looks like you did uncheck the read-only for the root folder). If that don't work, run the Diagnostic Tool, located at the bottom of the download section, and post the results. DrDetroit
  20. Ditch the disk and buy it from Steam. It think GTAIV EFLC is like $5. You'll never have that issue again (well...never say never) and you'll run better FPS using EFLC instead of GTAIV. DrDetroit
  21. I like the skin, just get rid of the blue State Patrol.
