  1. This is close, no ram bar though. I believe it has four colors for the livery. http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1581 EDIT: You can't tell by the one pic, but it has grill lights and a nice rear LED setup as well. BxBugs has the best models in my opinion. DrDetroit
  2. There are many variants of just about every cop car you can imagine already made and ready to use. Some high-poly, some low-poly...some ELS, some NonELS. Look for one and install it, unless you just want to try your hand at modelling for shits and grins. DrDetroit
  3. Plus just found out the guy scripted a drug sting in this mod already. I bought drugs from the gang banger on the corner, a message popped up "DRUG STING" (something to that effect) and about 10-cops jump out of nowhere to arrest me and the gang-banger was a cop as well. Cops come screaming up in the police an police2 as well as from alley ways. DrDetroit
  4. Just found this mod at GTA4-mods.com, called Turf Wars (by Matt19811), not sure if anybody here is familiar with it. This is a fairly in-depth script of drug hustling, pimping, gang wars and getting into a crew and eventually running the crew or the Mafia family. Also, most importantly, this is a perfect mod for LCPDFR undercover drug/prostitution/gang related police work. You could also theoretically do a in-depth deep cover operation as well. I've only messed with the street corner drug dealing portion of it so far, but there is also a mafia crew you can work your way into, also included is prostitution trafficking and a ton of other gun slinging goodies. Basically with the drug scenario; you go to a corner dealer, buy drugs. You can sell them on the corner at a profit or follow the deal to his contact when he goes to reloaded on coke, heroine, ect. You can rob that guy (the supplier...or arrest him) or follow him to to boss and main crew at their hideout and try to join the crew, or arrest them all. Eventually you can run your own crew, or meet the Mob boss (if your working with the Italians), but there is also retribution from the rival gangs once you join up. http://www.gta4-mods.com/script/turfwars-f17526 The only problem I'm running into with LCPDFR compatibility is you can't actually arrest the corner dealer, or most of the suppliers/gangsters (haven't made it up the chain of command yet, but this is the street level guys I'm referring to so far). Also, the corner dealer automatically re-spawns once you shoot him dead. If a scriptor here could alter this script a bit to allow the LCPDFR arrest function to work proeprly with this mod (mainly being able to arrest the perps involved and be able to kill them), this would blend so well into LCPDFR, it would be perfect. The best part is the guy who wrote this script does not care if you alter it and post it as long as he is credited (see his posts at GTA4-mods.com link above...he said go ahead). Think about it, you could actually conduct full raids, surveillance, drug stings, prostitution stings, ect, and also get into a deep cover situation as well. Would add a whole new depth and 99% of the work is already done. Would be cool if it can be tweak a bit. This is script is perfect for undercover field work. Just a thought. DrDetroit
  5. Don't know about the partner issue, but if you play EFLC it has the police bike slot already in game. Spawns with one cop on the bike too. DrDetroit
  6. I run EFLC, has the policeb.wft and wtd. It is one of the vehicle choices when loading up the patrol vehilces you scroll through prior to hitting the streets as LCPD. EFLC also runs much smoother (higher FPS) than GTAIV. Better optimization. DrDetroit
  7. Nope...GTAIV only uses two cores anyhow. Don't matter if you have a Octocore, will not make a difference. It's a fat vid card and ram...your dual is fine. Edit: Actually GTAIV is also only optimized to use a 2-gig vid card. A buddy has a 4-giger and the game ran like crap until he limited the available vid memory to 2gigs via the command line text. Shit assed port is why. DrDetroit
  8. GTA was born from the PC platform, every release has been on PC, this one will also be on PC. Don't worry about that. I'm just hoping it comes out on PC sooner than later. I don't want to wait until damn May or June 2014 for this thing. DrDetroit
  9. Yea, I got to believe it will be optimized to use the entire computing power of PC in a more efficient manner. But then again... DrDetroit
  10. I always thought the DSF models are waaay too big for the game. Although low poly, it's kinda strange looking car, proportional to the other vehicles in game. Thought it was just me, glad you confirmed my suspicions. DrDetroit
  11. Man, Flex Kat, that is a really well done vid! Thanks for posting. Makes me want to forgo the work day and put on my cop hat and run around LC all day. DrDetroit
  12. Would love to see LCPDFR V1 by Sept 1st. That'd be about it. Good day, DrDetroit
  13. You can use PH to call the ambulance as well, they will usually pick up dead bodies and they drive pretty good. Nothing you can do about the idiot cops expect stay out of their way (stay well off the road when you see 'em comin', or strategically place road barriers). The coroner is usually pretty good at driving though. DrDetroit
  14. How do you know LCPDFR is installed properly and it's nothing to do with a keyboard function issue? I have to hit the fn+F9 key as well to get the key to work in-game and I have no issues. I'm not saying it isn't an issue with your keyboard, just wondering if LCPDFR normally worked for you otherwise in the past. DrDetroit
  15. Also, check that your root GTAIV game folder is not set to "read only". If it is, uncheck that box, let Win7 do it's thing and then install LCPDFR, running the installer as Admin. Sometimes running the installer without installing the Tazer will alleviate issues as well. DrDetroit
  16. Man, that sounds really cool. Sounds/looks like this will be one hell of a game...can't wait...hope to see the PC release sooner than later. Don't know if I'll be able to wait for the PC...may have to drop a few hundo on a console. DrDetroit
  17. I think PH will crash with more cones. The way Abraxas does the barriers in general, from what I remember him explaining, is he spawns a cop just below grade which is what makes the cars stop, and the cone is placed on top of the cop, at grade level. So the more cones, the more cops that spawn, the more chance of freezing or crashing. I think that is why there is a limit to the number of cones/barriers available. DrDetroit
  18. You have to install LCPDFR to run around as a cop, doing cop stuff. That is what allows you to enter the police stations, pull people over, search/arrest, ect. VDHPolice Helper is a script that enhances LCPDFR, it does not set the game up for you to play as a cop. BTW: If LCPDFR is installed (since you have the asi loader, you probably installed it already), hit the left ALT+P to start up LCPDR. You'll see stars on the map where the stations are and you'll see a notice on-screen that you are now running LCPDFR. DrDetroit
  19. Nice...I think I have the CVPI version in my game.
  20. I bet there are famous people (movie stars, rock stars, ect) you'll find on the streets of Vinewood and Beverly Hills (forgot the game name for BH). I'm gonna find one and do a drive by. DrDetroit
  21. Young kids, and many adults, have yet to learn; it's not what you say, it's how you say it. Tact and constructive communication is now always evident most of the time. DrDetroit
  22. That's what i was wondering...Movie? DrDetroit
  23. Looks cool...will install and check it out later.
