A plugin or add on that allows for a vehicle license plate check by simply pressing one key. It is difficult to drive behind a vehicle and open something like smart radio, then scroll down to plate check, and submit the request without possibly crashing into the back of the car you are following.

Is anyone aware of an available mod that alters the behavior of AI police? I am looking for something that will stop them from smashing into cars as they try to clear a scene once an arrest is made. Also if anyone knows of a mod that alters the behavior of citizens while fleeing in a vehicle that would stop them from eventually just driving straight ahead at full speed and ramming into whatever is in front of them, whether it is a tree, car, etc. They eventually make no attempt to drive on the roadway. I have also encountered this same issue with officers on foot appearing as red dots on the screen and apparently intoxicated. I have also encountered the same issue, although with much less frequency, where an officer driving a patrol car appears as a red blip. I tried to check my plugins, but could not find where any of them listed public intoxication, drunk in public, etc as an ambient event that can be adjusted. I'm assuming it is the same plugin that causes red blips to appear over citizens who appear to be fleeing from the scene of a crime while carrying some type of firearm and what appears to be a bag of money.

Have you tried using the trainer to change the vehicle colors once you are in the game? Selecting the option to clean vehicle might make a difference as well. Just a suggestion for a possible quick fix.

Yes, but it appears to be working again. I reinstalled the mod, so maybe something that was originally installed afterwards caused it to function improperly?

No, this occurs when standing outside of the vehicle, and I also have the correct weapon name listed in the traffic policer config.

I have had the same issue at times when I spawn a vehicle. Just open up the vehicle options menu in the trainer and adjust it to the proper black color. Sometimes even just washing the vehicle will fix it for me.

I have installed the radar gun mod created by Scaarus, but whenever I attempt to check a vehicle's speed the radar gun fires bullets. Anyone else having an issue with this, or know how to fix it? I have the proper weapon selected in the Traffic Policer configuration file for the radar gun, but it still won't read a vehicles speed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx

If you use it, there is an option in Simple Trainer to turn off the radio. I'm not sure if it was disable radio or set the default radio station to off or none.

I think it's all personal preference, but I mix and match depending on the jurisdiction. CVPI for primary city and sheriff car with LAPD/LASD livery, all black Charger and Tahoe for FBI, then mix and match the others whenever I want a change.

CVPI was the best, hands down. Like it was previously stated, they definitely were not the fastest nor the best handling, but they were dependable battle cruisers. Ford had a vast majority of the market for police and other fleet vehicles and should not have stopped making them. I think a large part of the reason was that they hadn't had any real changes or updates and pretty much stayed the same since they changed the body style in the early 2000's. Newer cars like the Impala/Caprice and Taurus are smaller, less dependable, and cramped inside if you're above average height. Wouldn't mind having a hemi Charger to play around in because they are supposed to fly. Currently I am in a Tahoe, so I can't complain about the space and it has decent speed for such a big vehicle.

Yea, I use longshot's slicktop as well and it's a good car. There are a few LASD/LAPD models out there for the Tahoe and Suburban. I am going to try out the sedans in the link as well, so far I've mostly used skins for other cars. Here's a few links:

I'm not sure, but i don't think Traffic Policer and some of those other mods have been updated since the latest GTA and RPH updates. That may be the cause. Needs to be updated. It still works with traffic policer and other mods if you can play the previous versions of GTA and RPH. I'm using GTA version 1290 and RPH 1204, the mods still work with heli orbit, ems, spike strips, etc- 1,196 comments
