  1. So you're saying that you are Ohio Governer John Kasich? =| Can you put some pressure on the federal government to tell the FCC to piss off and leave internet bandwidth alone, if that's the case?
  2. I got a beta invite a few days ago, just installing it now. I'll let you know how it is since I did a lengthy Battlefield 4 review. I'm thinking it will be the same, but with smaller maps and tasers. I have no idea how the rank structure is going to work since both police departments and criminal organizations have only a hand full of ranks to them. *EDIT* The animations of the taser and baton look absolutely terrible and the sounds are equally bad. I hope the finished product is better.
  3. A disease that would make a human exhibit all the symptoms of a zombie is highly unlikely to come into existence, however, the likelihood of a massive breakout if one were to come into being, is extremely high, and mankind as a whole probably wouldn't survive barring small pockets of people in very remote locations with replenish-able food and water supplies. It's very easy to spread diseases, even from country to country and the only way to truly curb something like that would be to do what the Umbrella Corporation tried to do in one of the Resident Evil movies; quarantine the entire area of infected people, no exceptions, even to those who may be healthy in order to negate any risk, and nuke it. But as in movies, people can always slip through the cracks and I wouldn't doubt someone would end up ruining it by somehow escaping an thereby dooming humanity by carrying the theoretical virus with them...
  4. I recommend you post this in the correct section, first off. Price range is up to you, I wouldn't spend any less than a grand on it. Components depend on your standards for graphical impressiveness and performance and how long you plan on keeping it.
  5. Saw it on their Facebook page today.
  6. You'll be fine. I had that CPU with 6GB and a 570GTX and it ran well.
  7. Gut all of the mods. Add them in one by one. Chances are its your low end PC with too many car mods.
  8. The following gamer is brought to you by Razer. Razer Carcharias Razer Imperator 2012 Razer Black Widow Ultimate
  9. They've released two new Radeon series since, I'd check out some newer cards.
  10. LCPDFR's concept is above anything else to put you in the shoes of a day to day patrolman. While support for you to play as a NOOSE or FIB player model exists, it's not widely used for that purpose. For most people. it's no different than simply putting on a different outfit when you go to the police station to start your game. People often use these slots for 3rd party modifications. As an example, my LCPD officers are left alone, but the ones that would normally appear only in the jail or armored truck cut scenes I use for a fictional Sheriff's department by changing their outfits slightly. FIB and NOOSE models are ones I use for unmarked police cars after changing their outfits slightly as well. To do what you're suggesting is a nice idea for a game, but it would completely shift the focus of what LCPDFR is about and how it functions. I think it would be best making an individual SWAT mod for GTA IV if this were to be some that was widely desired.
  11. There's nothing you can do in the Catalyst Control Center to improve performance. Your "APU" is weak and that is what's bottle necking your game performance. Just turn down your graphics settings. You do not have a dedicated graphics card, it is built into the CPU and there is no true "dedicated RAM" for it that I'm aware of. I would also avoid buying a super expensive graphics card when you do upgrade it, because the processing part of your "APU" is going to cap the performance you can get out of it unless you replace that as well.
  12. Tell us how you really feel. In other news, generic T&L light animations are recently reported to look like dog vomit, and thousands of LCPDFR players are now corroborating that story with overwhelming support for Luxart's take it or leave it approach to modding. Back to you.
  13. It's probably due to car mods, not the actual LCPDFR script, but both of them work terribly with multiplayer because they aren't made for that. Each person with LCPDFR spawns their own copy of the police station as an example, so you already have a ton of junk that clogs up the game memory as soon as you start off.
  14. No, not really. Nobody I've seen here is an expert with Apple products, at least not so far. You also didn't specify if he's using Boot Camp or Parallels or Fusion or some other Virtual Machine software to do it. You didn't mention what patches or service packs he has, what his computer specifications are, any of that. You're way better of asking this sort of stuff on the proper forums (the ones who make the products) with the details I mentioned.
  15. That's not a graphics card for gaming. It's for computers that come in to the shop that won't display an image on a working monitor, in need of a display adapter replacement.
  16. Yup, whereas when you even hit 'E' to stop a fleeing pedestrian in LCPDFR, that pedestrians wanted level goes away immediately and cops go about their business.
  17. Cool story, bro. No, probably not. The way most (if not all) shooter game engines work is that the AI needs a target to fire at. When the targets health reaches zero, there is no more target, and the AI disengages. It's a simple programming algorithm, written in an "if-then" statement, such as: 'if ai_target health = 0 then aiped_cop task = walk' where 'ai_target' is the enemy AI pedestrian, and 'aiped_cop' is one of the generic backup LCPD officers. Otherwise the AI police keep shooting while the targets health is higher than zero. 'do aiped_cop task = shoot while ai_target health > 0 and wantedlevel => 2'. *For those here who program or write scripts, don't complain about my syntax or anything, I haven't written any programs in nearly a decade, and that was in VB.*
  18. Yeah a dusting always occurred during internal component service. It's good practice to do it yourself routinely but hell if that'll happen with most people.
  19. Cops come at minute 2:06 Video 1: How dumb can you get? Yeah, let's start a fight with an entire group of cops. I'd like my ass kicked in surround sound for a change. Video 2: Bunch of freaking stupid, redneck, trailer trash, ass*****. Nothing good comes from alcohol. Who the **** mistakes paramedics for police? Good for the cops keeping it under control. Video 3: How stereotypical. Video 4: How stereotypical.
  20. That one. Also even though I'm a 'Murican, I've never seen anything like this happen in person, but I do live in a good part of the country where standard of living is okay, the schools are good and there aren't any ghettos. If you head further south in my state, that's a different story... Russian dash cams and American surveillance cams rival each other on the internet for ridiculousness.
  21. At my previous job as a computer technician, we actually used a high powered anti-static vacuum that had a forward and reverse function for the suction depending on what needed to be done. It doesn't run any of the same risks (although risks are minimal) as holding the can improperly and it's an infinite supply of air. Once the laptop is apart, compressed air will work fine, yes. But personally I hate taking laptops apart because any model can be radically different depending on the brand, and even upon the year. The worst PC laptops to take apart or service are the Dell Inspirons, specifically the N4010 and its bigger 15 and 17 inch brothers. You have to do a complete tear down of them in order to do a simple hard drive replacement.
  22. You answered your own question. Putting an 'X' at the end of the name doesn't make it okay because the names are nearly identical. This could potentially bring a bunch of console people on here asking a bunch of questions we don't have answers to (because it's not our mod) and if it turns out to be a pile of crap, that could potentially be negative press against the original LCPDFR. Not to mention the plain and somple lack of morality of stealing a name.
  23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hd-f2Emciik This video is old but I still felt the need to share it. "I WANT A FOUR PIECE NUGGET!"
