On December 28th 2014, 17 year old Leelah alcorn, a transgender killed her herself because she was subjected to conversion therapy, more in the video.

Conversion therapy is a form of abuse. An awful practice. Any parent that forces their child to go through it doesn't deserve to be a parent. 

 

 

I normally wouldn't consider myself a person to support bans on things, I'm generally very libertarian minded. I don't see how this practice is anything but criminal, and should be treated accordingly.

I like how you guys are making it a POINT to say you are not signing but "thanks for the offer".....that's kind of insulting in and of itself, I mean why not just see what it is and then move on (without a comment) if it's not something you wish to sign? Hmmm...I know, a hard challenge to take on.

I noticed that jewish people are actually very talented when it comes to say their religion and victimize themselves.

 

On topic, I was already amazed by the fact that this kind of therapy was existing, but I'm even more amazed to see that people are actually not even against this form of torture on this very forum. Quite disappointing.

So why does it matter that you're jewish, I'm willing to bet that there is at least one jewish person who signed the petition, no one is forcing you to sign this, but at that very least show some support or sympahty, LGBT people are humans just like you. 

No-one should be forced to be "Converted" to something they are not. They were born that way, they will stay that way. Unless they themselves have a problem with who they are, but still.

How does your religion effect the way you stand on this matter? Do explain, if you will. You don't have to sign this, but I don't see why being Jewish matters when it comes to a signing...

Using religion to justify wrong acts is as barbaric as it gets, if this is your way of thought please escort yourself back to 1400AD.

Cut religion out of it, look at this as a matter or right and wrong people. Attempting to systematically delouse thoughts from a person's mind is pushing the dystopian line. Are we going to be speaking Nadsat next? (you have my respect if you get that reference)
