  1. Issue with the Insurgent. Copied over all relevant sections into the appropriate files, and added the vehicle files, but getting a CTD when I try to enter it. So, ignore all that. Turns out that this is the first time using the Christmas DLC files doesn't work for an added vehicle. However, trying to add a copy of the vehicle causes a crash during loading. No clue what's going on there.
  2. Maybe that will work now.
  3. The Loot commented on Lt.Caine's gallery image in GTA V Galleries
  4. What a sexy beast! If only we could touch the things needed to make it as functional as the default vehicles. After seeing Lund's note on his Gen 1 Detective Stainer, I found making an entry in the Christmas2 DLC for a base vehicle does work. I replaced my Sheriff2 with a copy of FBI2, and changed the sound ID to PRANGER, so I could have an unmarked SUV with the normal police siren instead of the FBI siren. At first it only spawned white like Sheriff2 was supposed to, but after adding the mentioned carvariations entry, it now spawns in black or white.
  5. If Caine isn't currently working on it, LtMattJeter has released a Gen2 Stainer already, and there have been several textures made for it also.
  6. update.rpf/common/data/levels/gta5/vehicles.meta
  7. Possible to remove the LSPD marking from the front grille?
  8. Currently suffers from the collision CTD, it seems.
  9. It's probably the vehicles base colors showing on the lower LOD model, meaning you'd have to be able to edit the carvariations entry for the model.
  10. As far as I can see, nothing in the GTAV directory other than GTAVLauncher.exe was modified when I updated.
  11. Anything in the base files is superseded by entries in the update folder. Make sure the latest patchday files are where you're making changes.
  12. Looks like the attitude that inspired the model policy G17 adopted.
  13. If you want the LSPD Stainer (police) to spawn naturally without a lightbar, do the following. Open vehicles.meta in update.rpf/common/data/levels/gta5.Find the section for "police", and locate the Flags line.Remove the FLAG_EXTRAS_REQUIRE entry.Enjoy.
  14. The Radius really isn't, it's more based on the Ford Edge. The Gresley is closer, but it's based on the Durango.
  15. I'd say start with all the existing vehicles for remaps, including adding interior dividers to the ones missing them. As for others, any of the ones based on real-life vehicles used by the police in the LA area.
The bison looks great with an LSSD paintjob (wish I could make it black and white, though). Removing the junk in the back and adding a rambar would be great.
  16. Most likely it will still be a bit before we can change ped models; Car model editing has just become possible.
  17. Yes, there is a lot of shared handling lines for vehicles.
  18. "designed to facilitate piracy" "Think of the children!"
