  1. Now it feels like every one is emulating them.
  2. Local departments used to have varied designs, now a lot of them look the same.
  3. Might need to check if they added updated files that are overriding the base ones.
  4. It looks like a Demo vehicle, especially lacking the department name on the side. Plus it's supposed to be based on an LAPD vehicle, which looks like so: Rockstar updated the Buffalo for the Enhanced version, I don't know why they didn't give the Interceptor the same treatment and match the Cruiser that they already made.
  5. And that thing on top, ugh. My biggest want.
  6. A new patch will always have the chance of messing up things from before if they, or things they rely on, have been changed from what you have used as a base for a mod. It's good to know that so far there haven't been any insurmountable obstacles.
  7. The Slicktop was done by removing the Extra Required flag on the vehicle, which makes it to that neither lightbar will spawn in addition to them. Someone did figure out a way to add new police cars, and I hope with some simple changed values it will work for fire and aid vehicles, too. I still swear I remember at least two skins for the fire truck, but maybe they changed that with the PC version or a patch.
  8. Here's that method, BTW. Hopefully it should be simply enough to change the "sirenSettings" value to change the siren if need be.
  9. Does it require a headless server? Or can one play on that system?
  10. GTA Online is a walled garden that R* wants full control over, especially when it comes to hawking shortcuts to in-game content.
  11. I'd like separate vehicles for City and Country areas. Apparently it's possible to add additional fully functioning police vehicles, so a Los Santos/Blaine County fire and EMS should be possible. They could simply be the same models, I just want the area-dependent agencies like the police.
  12. I'd like to know how configurable LSPDFR might be. Can we change officers or vehicles or weapons spawned? Will it read, say, dispatch or loadout meta or other files?
  13. Make a copy of the entire directory to be safe. If you intend on modding, you should anyways. If you want Steam to not autoupdate, there will be an option in the game properties that you can switch off (you cannot launch a game waiting for an update without updating first, though).
  14. LCPDFR was fully supported in GTAIV's multiplayer because of the open, sand-box nature of freeplay, and was probably a big draw for a significant number of the playerbase. GTA Online is a walled garden compared to that, with tight controls over what happens in it. Player experience is one reason, but Rockstar obviously has less than altruistic motives in the way they run things. At the moment, the designers behind Scripthook V, Rage Hook, and LSPD:FR have want to be clear they have no desire to intentionally let people meddle with GTA:O using their code. If 3rd-party addons like FiveM or such ever work out, and if Rockstar doesn't come crashing down on them (which is highly likely), these mods may work unofficially, or even get official support, but all that remains to be seen.
  15. This opens up a whole world of possibilities. Hopefully new Ambulances and Firetrucks are possible, too.
  16. Would it be possible to get black and white versions of the cruisers? An LSSD Buffalo would be nice, too.
  17. Does this actually work? Lights working correctly and sirens? It would be awesome to see this in action.
  18. That's bugged me since I heard it mentioned. I really want to find out exactly what happened one of these days... Just like playing LSPDFR... and maybe owning GTAV PC in the first place.
  19. Like I said on the other site, great work on that Interceptor. Since you mentioned the door mapping issue, one solution could be to place the LSSD badge logo on both sides of the text, if it would fit well enough.
  20. Not related to LSPDFR, but made by another Rage hook dev.
  21. What a silly mistake to have to correct. Be nice to see if any other cars need a similar fix.
  22. Yep, going to just http fixed it. It's still weird that it never happened up until now.
  23. Understanding of GTAV's data is still pretty basic. Eventually most of it will be cracked open to mess with, but it takes time. Better sirens and lightbars are very high on the list of things I'm waiting for.
  24. Whenever I try to access lcpdfr.com through entering it in the address bar or using a bookmark, all I get is an error page. Clicking any other link to the site seems to get me here fine, and there's no problem loading or reloading any page once I'm here. Ideas? Edit: Of course, "https" in the address might have explained it, but only the past day or two has it been an issue, so it's still strange.
  25. Glad you got that sorted.
