  1. At the bottom of the vehicles.meta file, there's a section that defines misc textures used by models. You'll need to make a new entry for the new model, and use poltax_interior (or something similar, check the other police vehicle entries).
  2. Any modified files run the risk of getting banned. Use OpenIV's mod folder to keep your modded files separate.
  3. Add "FLAG_EXTRAS_STRONG" to the flags line in vehicles.meta.
  4. Um, you could, but that would probably cause some problems.
  5. Huh, didn't think it was possible to change the coronas that way. Changing the lightbar glass is easy enough, it's just a texture in the vehicle file.
  6. Great job! I was just about to mention the far LODS. Unfortunately, the FAP is causing a CTD during load for me, as an added vehicle. This happens with the test rappel enabled one as well. I'm assuming it's going to be a similar problem to the Insurgent where it won't work for me for some reason but no issues for others. Edit: Scratch that. Reworked my files and put my added vehicles in the Ill Gotten pt rpf, and the FAP works now alongside the other. Maybe the Insurgents will work now.
  7. Well, the original vehicle carvariations file is still an encrypted file, but as I said, if you add a new entry with an original model name, the game will use that instead. Also, if you're going to use a Stainer, sirensettings will need to be set to 13 to work correctly. This won't give the Yankton lightbar or anything, just make the lights work as they should.
  8. Take a look in the tutorials section for the Adding New Emergency Vehicles thread. The new carvariations entries will take precedence over the original files even for the original vehicles. FYI, "SirenSettings" controls emergency light settings, and siren settings (whether it has one or not), but has nothing to do with sounds. The specific siren sounds are tied to the audiohash line in vehicles.meta, which controls ALL vehicle sounds.
  9. Well, the "sirensettings" can be changed by adding a replacement carvariations entry to one of the dlc meta files, so that isn't an obstacle. I'd say that Lundy's 1st Gen Stainer can stand in quite well for a police cruiser from 2004, though either Stainer would technically work, and you could just use both of them. The only issue is that you'd have to make texture and model edits if you wanted snow on them.

  12. Well, we still need an FBI version. Did you use up all the lights on this, or could you throw a pair in the front window and have the lightbar be an extra?
  13. I'm pretty sure the Buffaloes in V never had one. Hopefully it isn't like the Stainer where it isn't visible through glass and I missed that.
  14. Any chance of getting more number variations? From the new update, it seems to support up to 8. The model was just updated to fix textures changing at distance, along with breakable glass.
  15. Think you could update these with an interior divider?

  18. Do you mean it has overlapping lights or that both lightbars are actually spawning on the car? If the latter is the case, check the vehicles.meta entry for the model you're using and make sure it doesn't have a FLAG_EXTRAS_ALL entry on the flags line. Otherwise, it was probably designed to use the settings for the original cruiser, meaning you should set it to 13.
  19. You can't threaten to steal other peoples work if they don't get your permission. You request removal of the file, no more.
  20. Don't think it works that way, bud.
  21. Probably in the works somewhere; Dbock(?) already released a mapped Gresley that can be used. But I would like to see one done with Yards custom LED lightbar so it would match.
