  1. May I ask how much RAM you have?
  2. Reminds me of the "turkey scare" we had last year where I live. We had one or two turkeys attacking people if they left their homes.
  3. I don't see much of a problem here, myself. The game should still work fine. You may or may not have to reinstall your car mods, depending on what exactly got patched and what remained the same. A clean install shouldn't be necessary (but, this is Rockstar we're talking about). If you have any other data mods (like vehicle handling, car colors, etc) you may want to check and make sure they persist.
  4. Yeah you had me beat. I've changed my desktop after switching computers:
  5. Thanks for sharing this.
  6. F4 will minimize the trainer / bring it up again where you left off. Backspace will close out of it (making you press F3 to reopen).
  7. This is a common problem with RC2 that has been answered a few times before. There's no known fix for it at this time.
  8. You should make sure that in your audio settings for GTA, you have the Independence Radio set to either Sequential or Shuffle, and NOT "radio".
  9. I always wanted to drive a decommissioned CVPI or Charger, but I gave up on the idea. I drive a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze LTZ (Rally Sport package w/ push-to-start) currently. Getting it tinted in a couple weeks. Not the crown vic (or charger) that I used to want, but it's good enough for me. Better on gas too, I suppose.
  10. My tutorial here might help you. It changes the sound of the engine in a car.
  11. Jailbreaking an iPhone is completely legal (sources 1, 2, 3). It is only technically illegal to jailbreak an iPad (in the US, at least). If you don't believe me, do a google search. I personally can't stand Apple products, so no I don't use any, but I have read up on the latest news.
  12. My guide here will walk you through the steps It is possible in singleplayer.
  13. You should try turning down your graphics settings. Script mods can sometimes tax your system more than stock GTA. Most people generally prefer to run traffic flow with a slight performance hit rather than seeing taxi cabs everywhere.
  14. My messy and unorganized desktop that gets the job done every time:
  15. The one I received is this one here: http://www.amazon.com/BOOMYOURS-270%C2%B0Rotating-Vehicle-Blackbox-G-sensor/dp/B008GAMNBK/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1356485693&sr=8-12&keywords=hd+car+dvr It's not a high end one and isn't really even HD. However, it has a GPS attachment that logs location and speed. It also has two cameras, one designed to face the interior and one that is designed for facing forward, and you can toggle which ones you want to record. For a gift, I certainly am not complaining. I like it. It has built in software that it loads to the microSD you insert and you can access all of your video / gps logs right there. I assume, though, that it would pale in comparison to anything from GoPro. If you're on a budget, I'd recommend this. If not, I'm sure there are better alternatives (I never specified what I wanted, I just said that a dash cam would be cool). Feel free to PM if you have more questions about it.
  16. I got: A dash cam for my car $200 USD in gift cards / physical money Logitech Performance Mouse MX Lord of the Rings trilogy Some much needed clothing A nifty little "spy-tank" that can be controlled via Smartphone. Interesting little thing. Probably a ton of stuff that I forgot to mention. Merry Christmas everyone.
  17. If anyone's looking for an article I found this http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/24/us/new-york-firefighters-shooting/index.html No apparent fatalities, but I guess 2 firemen are now being treated for gunshot wounds. I wonder if someone didn't want the fire extinguished (like if it was arson). I hope the firefighters will be alright. Edit: 3 firemen are thought to have been injured. The fire has spread to 3 houses.
  18. They're using Simple Native Trainer, most likely. It's easy to install, just follow the readme. Works on all GTA types (IV and EFLC). Link: http://www.gtagaming.com/downloads/gta-iv/script-mods/2115
  19. Depending on the circumstances, I have seen state troopers on the turnpike approach the passenger side door rather than the driver side. I can't be 100% as to what their motives were, but officers will indeed approach the passenger side, although rare. I'm certainly not saying you're wrong, since officers usually don't approach the passenger side, but it sometimes does happen (perhaps avoiding traffic or questioning the passenger). As for the scripting, I believe you may be right. But that's up to the developing team to decide, I'm certainly no scripter.
  20. Upgraded the same day it was available. Haven't looked back since. "Yay" all the way.
  21. This sounds familiar but I don't remember why... Anyways, did you try running a Google search on the email address they left you? Perhaps someone else asked the same question somewhere else (if it's spam), or maybe it will link back to an official UK site.
  22. I was being tailgated by a cop a couple weeks ago and they later flipped on the lights (no siren) to head to a call and I could NOT see their lightbar at all because they were so close, it was above my line of sight through my back window. I managed to get a glimpse of other lights and pulled over. It was a crown vic as well. It is technically possible to not see the lightbar.
  23. Chances are your video card needs to be upgraded, it is probably running low on VRAM.
