Reinstalling is best because that's the only way to get the tazer installed again (without having to go through and try installing it manually). You could just copy the scripts folder, but you also need to copy advancedhook.dll, scripthook.dll and scripthookdotnet.asi from the main GTA folder. Note that you won't have a tazer this way.

I'm not quite following along with your methodology. Restore a backup of weapons.img and then find the skins you want. Launch OpenIV and navigate to the weapons.img archive and double click on it. Turn on editor mode and then replace the 2_m4 files. Then disable editor mode and close openIV (rebuilding is not required most of the time).

I did some searching online and some people mention dsound.dll causing it (while others say it fixes it...). For troubleshooting purposes, move dsound,dll out of your GTA folder (don't delete it). Your scripts will break until it is moved back in but just try without it and report back. You might have to try xlive.dll instead.

There's no right or wrong answer here. I personally use traffic flow from Sam because it seems to have a lesser impact than traffic load. I want to try real traffic but the download link never works for me.

There's no key built into LCPDFR that allows you to spawn police vehicles. A full list of key commands can be found here '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> You can use simple native trainer (http://www.gta4-mods.com/script/simple-trainer-version-65-f2115) to spawn cars though. You will need to disable keybindings for Simple Native Trainer so it doesn't conflict with LCPDFR.

Can you past the contents of ScriptHookDotNet.log here (preferably in spoiler tags)? Example:

1. Mastiff (not bull mastiff) 2. Black lab 3. Newfoundland Tie for 3: German Shepherd.

I have 500+ hours logged from the past several years but I haven't played in a long time. I never got into the addons too much but after looking at a lot of the things posted here it's almost enough to get me started in it again.

Are you 100% sure that all files are indeed backups? Once a full backup has been restored there's no way a previous content mod could affect the game, unless your savegame somehow got corrupted. I don't see how that's possible, but for troubleshooting purposes, try loading a new save and see if you still crash at all with shotguns. I haven't heard of any mods preventing cars from giving you shotguns, though, since that's an LCPDFR feature (assuming you are referring to going to your trunk) and mods LCPDFR features are unmoddable.

@OP An Asi loader is a dll file that loads scripts. There are two, dsound and xlive. Use only one of them.

I would personally try removing your police, police2, taxi and taxi2 mods and return them to stock cars and see if the game runs better. If it does, then you can try replacing police and police2 and then see how it does. It's likely that your car mods are the final "nail" in your GTA's RAM coffin.

3 people who posted here have numbers in their username - Half Life 3 Confirmed. Anyways, I personally have no idea whether or not HL3 will be released or not. I wouldn't be surprised either way -- although I really hope there is a HL3.

Did you save your game while on duty as a police officer?

You need to have version 1.0.7.0 installed. You can download the patch here (http://support.rockstargames.com/entries/484496-Grand-Theft-Auto-IV-Patch-7-Title-Update-v-1-0-7-0-English-1-0-6-1-Russian-1-0-5-2-Japanese-). Even if GTA V proved to be unmoddable (which I doubt), just the things shown in the gameplay demo will be enough to keep me playing for a long time.

0.95 was designed this way, any nearby unit will assist in the pursuit. The problem is a limit was never introduced in RC2. There's no real fix.

The Maine state police use undercover Mustangs but they have just a single light bar in the back window and then the usual flashing tail lights. Supposedly, the UC Mustangs the state police use are collected from drug raids and then converted to police vehicles.

Abraxas, For some reason I keep getting a large amount of tick and NonExisting errors. This happens with PoliceHelper, and also well as the Tow script and METT/Coroner mod. Once one error shows up, the services never work again until I reload scripts. I use a lot of bait cars, ambulance calls, and coroner calls and after a while (sometimes 10-30 minutes) they start crashing and this is normally associated with texture loss. I don't believe it is my computer because I'm running with 16GB of ram, 4GB of VRAM and a GTX 680M gpu. Here's a log snippet: I'm also running a 100% stock install. No modded textures, no modded cars, no data mods, nothing, just your scripts (and the testing version of LCPDFR of course). I apologize if this was covered before but with 49 pages to the thread it's hard to search through.

I'm the only one to vote for the Suburban I drove a 2004 black Suburban (think FBI / Secret Service style) and absolutely loved it, so I'm a little biased there. If I had to pick a different vehicle it would definitely be a Charger.
