1. http://www.gtagaming...cript-mods/2115 <-- Simple Native Trainer. Different trainer than Custo linked. Both can spawn cars, etc. Custo linked his because of its usefulness with unlocking doors.
2. Really? Maybe I'm thinking of the testing version... Sorry about that.
3. Unfortunately, that's what it looks like. Luckily I have backups of everything. I wonder why GTA acts up like this... I mean, clocks? Really?
4. That makes me wonder... I installed a new road texture pack from Fizzy (Darker roads), which modifies similar files as the snow mod. I wonder if the road textures corrupted something... Thanks for the insight, Olanov.
5. [Update] Fixed it with a file validation via Steam. So... this is quite the problem. I'm not sure what I've managed to do this time, but my GTA is pretty messed up. There are tug boats trying to spawn on land, causing the game to freak out, there are clocks spawning in the subway system, and there are no gates like at police stations. I have NO idea what is wrong. It wasn't doing this before, and I can't imagine what mod I might have installed that would do it. Examples: I've never even heard of this happening before. Any thoughts? I also got a random SMPA60 error, only once though, that I can't explain. And I on it!
6. He discontinued the first version of the mod, 1.0, but I hear he'll be working on a new version, 2.0. There's no release date or anything yet.
7. Code 4's will happen with every mugging callout in RC2, since they're bugged, from what I remember. I usually ignore all mugging callouts in RC2, they're rather unstable. I will say, though, that callout variety and frequency is something that has been improved in the testing version, from what I have noticed. And before anyone asks, no, there's no ETA.
8. I've found that this mod does go very well with ENB (then again, what doesn't?). And the lack of crashes is another benefit to going non-ELS... I switched all of my els vehicles out and I've been running fine. Except for when I had a bad model installed. As a mod update, I've decided that V1.2 will have two new bright LED coronas and a newer, brighter halogen corona. No ETA as of now.
9. Are you using SparkIV (found here, recommend using latest beta)? You need to use SparkIV to edit vehicles.img and then import the car mod. You'll need to make sure vehicles.img isn't marked as read-only. If it is, disable User Account Control (preferably, since it gets in the way a lot with mods) and mark vehicles.img as NOT read-only. Then try Spark again, making sure to run it as an administrator (right click, run as admin). Either do that every time, or right click spark iv --> properties --> compatibility --> always run as admin.
10. You can't add car mods using Steam itself (that's what your thread title implies, anyways). You need to use a utility called SparkIV to open up GTA's data files (vehicles.img, specifically) and import car mods. There are no mods can be installed with Steam. They all have to be done manually, opening up the GTA folder and then importing the data from the mod, based on what the mod readme file tells you to do. Same thing is true if you have the disc version.
11. Are we talking about the large door/gate in front of the Alderney State Correctional Facility? If so, it has never opened for me and I didn't think it was designed to open. At least, I've never seen it open. Could be wrong, of course.
12. Thanks for posting the video! Looks good, especially with the lighting mode 2 activated as well.
13. If you have any programs like EVGA Precision, MSI Afterburner, etc, they will cause ENB to crash. You'll need to terminate them before running GTA. There was another app too that crashed it but I don't remember now what it was..
14. Do you have GTA IV on Steam? With steam, you can right click on the game in the library, go to properties, hit local content and press verify integrity of game cache, this will search for altered or corrupted files and restore them. You will, however, lose custom handling files, visual mods, etc, but you can reinstall those.
15. No problem. Thanks for taking some pictures for me! Nice to see the mod working well on other's computers, besides mine. For spoilers, just type
text text text
16. Looking forward to seeing some of the screenshots from the brand new one I sent ya, too. (Maybe spoiler tags would be a good idea to prevent large posts). Once the new demo video is uploaded for 1.1, I'll release the new version for mod approval (ETA 10 minutes).
17. Thanks ehjort :) Here's a preview of the new Halogen-rotator mod, I'd like to know how close it is to looking realistic in everyone's opinion: I understand it's not the same as watching a preview video of it, but I hope it will suffice.
18. I do see your point. I was using a charger earlier with 2 small indicators in the front of a lightbar and that specific configuration looked really good to me, but yeah I can see where all the indicators flashing might not be desirable. I'm finishing up an LED version and will then work on another Halogen version, to (try and) mimic a real rotator. I'll have to do a little hunting to get an idea of what the end product should look like, but I might have it done in a couple hours, depending. Halogen ones are a lot easier to make than LED ones Version 1.1 will then be ready for release. Version 1.2 (haven't started) will be mostly all new LED's since that seems to be the one in highest demand.
19. The limit is definitely a pain, but well-placed lights on cars can mitigate the limit to some extent, especially when there are indicators built into a lightbar, they work great with the strobe mod/
20. i can't make it flicker with just the texture, sorry. Someone would have to make a script. But there is a flicker/strobe setting built in to LCPDFR (Light mode 2).
21. Thanks! I'll try and make a more realistic looking rotator. Mind you, I can only edit the shape of the light (if that makes sense), not how they actually cycle on or off. But I will try and make a more realistic version of the "Halogen" or "Bright Sun" coronas.
22. The file page already has almost 4 pages of comments in it and is beginning to become a little difficult to navigate through, so I felt it's time to actually make a thread for the mod. To be honest, I never though I would have to make a thread for this since I didn't anticipate the popularity at all (File page). There are already over 1,100 views and over 130 downloads after not even a full day. ?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent> Description of the mod: I would like to receive as much feedback as possible regarding the new lights, especially regarding brightness and size of the flares / coronas. I am also open to suggestions and I am currently in the process of making a new LED-style light with a larger outer-flare (request from ehjort1891). So far the feedback has been 100% positive, but if there's anything you feel I should fix, please post it. I'm not one to turn down constructive criticism, by any means. If anyone has any videos of my mod that they'd like to share, please do so! The video on the file page rather basic, and doesn't have any action shots in it either. I will also post any updates I'm planning to release here, as well. Also, if anyone would like to test possible releases, please leave a message here. Fire away. UPDATE: Version 1.1 has been released! This version features two new lights -- Enhanced LED and Enhanced Halogen.
23. Empire, enough is ENOUGH already. That site WILL NOT IN ANY WAY help solve Rees' problem.
24. There is NO NEED AT ALL to do what he is saying! Empire, don't post random things on support forums. No one wants to hear it anymore. Rees, please check this video here and see if it helps:
25. LCPDFR works for both original GTA IV and EFLC, as long as they're on the PC. Both Steam and the disk copy are fine.
