Also regretted that he could not finish the next Police helper bringing us great new features and some bug fixes, have been a great way to say goodbye.

If anyone in the community with enough knowledge could continue where he left it would be fantastic.

@Abraxas  Sorry to hear about your job loss.  Whatever you have to do to get that stability back in your life do it.  Sometimes we have to take a break from time consuming distractions like modding.  Good luck to you my friend!

@Abraxas, sorry to hear about your job , i know what you go through (lost mine a small while back also) and trust me when i say just continue to do what you like doing, to avoid faling in a big black hole and not be able to get out  (i was unemployed 2 - 2,5 years ago (for about a year) then luckaly found a job for a 1,5 years only to lose it again due to the economic crisis)

 

i hope this can motivate you a little bit to keep going with a good live (and offcourse hope it helps to get us a new version of the helper ;) ) 

 

 

 

I recently installed this mod, and I love it! I love the fact that I can pull up the smart phone and just call for another police car! The bait car feature is also handy and fun. I haven't tried everything yet, but I will get to that eventually. I did notice however, that I am unable to set up road barriers, cones, flares, or lights at all. I have LCPDFR installed for my GTA 4 on my PC. I also have the carmagedon mod, but I never have it turned on when I play my LCPDFR. Does anyone know why I can't place the barriers, cones, lights, or flares?

Hey I love this mod so much. I have most of the addons installed but there are some problems that wont stop nagging me!!!!! Im using 1.2.1b

 

1. FDLC. If I request them using the pH then they arrive then pH crashes.

2. Fires. I don't even think you need the FDLC because every time I open the pH near a fire then the fire magically disappears.

3. Car arson. I don't know where to look but im desperate to catch a car arson. Problem is that even though I followed the news and hung around south bohan in between 1 and 4 there was no thing. Please tell me where I can find a car arson!!!!!!!

4. Mechanics being able to fix destroyed cars. But then not being able to get in it.

5. Key board. I know that the place barrier button is meant to be Z but for some reason the pH changes my keyboard into French mode. So instead of qwerty ive got azerty I think. so that means that every time I tried to sprint a cone would appear out of nowhere and block me. :(

6. this is just a minor one but there are areas that the tow trucks, fdlc, met and emts can't reach. E.g. the beach and pier.

 

I hope some of these problems get solved/answered and I really love this mod. Keep up the good work.

1. This problem has been fixed in tester versions, but I'm unsure if it will ever be released since the new version isn't complete and Abraxas has real life stuff going on.

2. I've never heard of that before....

3. Car arson is a very rare event, but if you patrol bad parts of the city eventually you'll see one.

4. That sounds like a GTA problem - GTA marks the car as destroyed so you can't enter it, even after being fixed by the script.

5. Never heard of that either, but you can change the key to spawn a cone in the settings (should be accessible through the actual PHelper in game or you can edit the .ini) so it doesn't interfere.

6. Teleportation is supposed to fix that - when the body/car is unreachable, they should teleport to the location. Make sure "Magic" is on in the Tow Service .ini

  The default key should be z.

press ctrl + z for barrier

press alt + z for light/flare

press shift + z for cone

There seems to be a multiplayer problem with the world/traffic/random events, that appears to be caused by AI cops in the current version - would you be able to look into it? The events add so much flavour to the game, and it would be great to have them in MP.

As I said before developement of my mods is suspended. I don't know if I will be able to get back to scripting.

As I said many times I'm not able to test in multi and I need way more details about your problem.

Yes. Assuming nothing has changed from the released version to the tester version:

 

 

Change the number for the timeouts to 0 and/or change "EnableOtherEvents" to False.

 

I think this can also be done in game if you open Police Helper and click on Settings.

While this mod is designed to work alongside LCPDFR, it has nothing to do with it. You can use it separately.
