Any progress with pack?

I have to announce to everyone here that I am taking a break of the LAPD Stuff and in general US stuff. I have a lot to do in my private life and also recently a family member of me passed away so I wasn't in the mood to mod. I hope you can understand that!

Experiencing problems with zmod at the moment so I will not mod for some time.

Hey Scudo, have you managed to iron out those issues or are you still taking time off?

Do you want me to release what I have atm? If yes then you would just have cars that aren't done.

I just want to bring out finally a good LAPD pack because atm we only have Desmonds cars which are high quality.

I can certainly see both sides of the story here. I agree with Scudo, there's a distinct lack of high quality LAPD vehicles in GTA V, which quite frankly is retarded considering it should be the first department created. And it's worth noting (because I've noticed when doing my own research) that the LAPD has a CLUSTERF*CK of vehicles, all with different equipment and set-ups. So to create an accurate pack of multiple vehicles with equally accurate interiors certainly does take time. It's easy to make an 'LAPD Pack', the hard bit is making an LAPD pack of high quality and high accuracy worth putting your name besides, and it's worth remembering that Desmonds FPUI has been an ongoing WIP for well over a year.

On the flipside, I can also understand motive007's point of view, the project has been ongoing for a while, and updates have been very sparce. The last significant update on the project was on the 15th of July to say that you were about to be done with the CVPI.  No one is questioning the quality of the work [ and they certainly shouldn't] but with large scale projects having been announced in the past and people riding the hype-train only to realise that the project would not get completed, I do understand motives scepticism.

If you are set on matching Desmonds level of quality in vehicles, no one wishes to rush you, we'll wait patiently (lets face it, its been 2 years since GTA V 's been out...what's a few more months) however the occasional update, even if it's just in text form, certainly wouldn't go amiss. It'll keep people happy  that progress is being made, and they're not banking on a project which won't amount to anything.

My two pennies of thought

I can understand your points you are making but atm I don't really have any motivation to work on any american police stuff. GTA has just taken too much time of my life which I wish I would have spent differently.

So I will see when I release the LAPD stuff. Maybe I will just release it unlocked so people can do what ever the fuck they want to do with it, but most likely it's not going to be unlocked.

The thing is that quality cars take quite some time to make.  Generally speaking, it involves making and texturing your own parts, levels of details (LODs), and fixing random bugs and mistakes.  Unlike 99.5% of "vehicle modelers" out there who just slap crap on a car, call it a day, and release a pack of 10 cars every few months, while the few people who make decent cars take months or years on a single car to make it just right, an example being Desmond who has been working on his fpiu for over 2 years.  On another note, the fact most people try to slam out as many vehicle releases as possible leads to people acting like motive because it gives people almost instant gratification for new things, and when they're told to wait a bit it makes them cynical.

Twisted scope most recent one that he took down is top notch beside amber on sheriff Tahoe. I Still use. my Point is I understand you had a family emergency. But you have been saying this and had us going then all of a sudden stopped to do a taxi. then started and stopped and Sorry scud but had to call you out there. maybe it will motivate you to actually do them I hope to see them released but as of now I have no faith whatsoever. just my opinion. Would be nice to see if you could beat twisted scope because that is top notch accuracy. I'm not trying to be toxic just callin what I see

My Point Thank you. I mean Not an insult in any way but you are German and I don't see where motivation to do American police vehicles would come from anyway

You do realize he isn't being paid to make these nor does he get any kickback for releasing them today as opposed to when they're finished right?  He is in no manner obligated to release anything within a certain time period, and to be honest if this bothers you so much there's always the option of making it yourself.
