Yellow Cab Co. Taxi / Update no. 2

Officer27 sent me the livieries today, so I edited the car so it can also have the blue grill like Checker Cab. has.

The last things to do now are the receipt printer, some wires and some more details in the cab.

That car is actually a 2003-2004 CVPI.  A 2005 CVPI for LAPD would use an Arjent SL, and it should also have the mount for the right side mounted radio antenna.  Also, I've found that LAPD doesn't really use 2003-2008 CVPIs anymore.  I really only see 2009-2010 and every once in a while I'll see a 1998-2002, but it can vary by station.

2005s were still outfitted with MX-7000s in the early year.

You could make the Prius as well, and approach the RDE team to see if you can put them into the RDE pack. Like the way Skylinegtrfreak has some of his mods in the install pack . I think they've got two taxi slots? One Vic based model and the other being a cabby. 

It could be a simple enough side project to work on, until you're happy enough to go back to working on the LAPD pack.

Sorry, we are not interested in using more real life models, Skylinegtrfreaks models were only used because the team needed proper military vehicles for the mod and GTA didn't offer enough fitting ones to use (at least not at the time when they were added.)

 

I like the idea of more real life taxi models for GTA though, haven't looked that much but I can't say I haven't seen that many good ones except a few Crown Vics, the community could need some.

I could be wrong but growing up and living in LA I have never ever seen an impala EVER I'm pretty sure they have never used an impala

I can't say for certain, I understand the LAPD has loads of stations, and each 'division' or whatever  have their own vehicles, some use brand new FPUI whilst  others may still be stuck with 99 Vics...

I can say there are a few photos of Chevy Impalas in LAPD uniform though

They are out there.  Impalas are quite rare, but I've seen a few before.

Would these vehicle's templates match up with Beren's LSPD textures? Love LAPD vehicles although i have a thing for Lore textures. 

taxi looks good hopefully it will be low poly, hard to find any of those, cant wait for the updated pack!
