  1. Yes, 5 minutes to switch names and add extras to create another incorrect pattern. Like I said before, an accurate light pattern for the utility at this time is not possible with els or default lighting.
  2. Dude like chill out. Some people can't be working on mods at all times during the year, and to be completely honest with you, there is no way to technically "fix" the lights as ELS is far too restrictive and there is currently no script that allows switching carcols on the fly to create light stages. Attaching the spotlights to takedowns would make no sense, since you would lose the corona for the spotlights and they are also controlled independent of the takedowns in the real world.
  3. On a well optimized model it won't add more than a few thousand polys. A 10+mb car file is probably more like 200k-300k polys, or the L0 is copied for L1-L4 and shouldn't be used in the first place. As long as the modeler is conscious of the model's poly count and uses some common sense adding reflective liveries shouldn't have a major impact on the game performace.
  4. Sorry to break it to you, but you can't have it both ways. You can either suck it up and deal with "dim" lights, which is accurate, or you can edit the window texture in a program like Gimp and remove the window tint, which is inaccurate.
  5. I don't remember what pattern numbers I changed, but you can just copy and rename the xml for any of the other cars you want to use it for.
  6. You do realize he isn't being paid to make these nor does he get any kickback for releasing them today as opposed to when they're finished right? He is in no manner obligated to release anything within a certain time period, and to be honest if this bothers you so much there's always the option of making it yourself.
  7. The thing is that quality cars take quite some time to make. Generally speaking, it involves making and texturing your own parts, levels of details (LODs), and fixing random bugs and mistakes. Unlike 99.5% of "vehicle modelers" out there who just slap crap on a car, call it a day, and release a pack of 10 cars every few months, while the few people who make decent cars take months or years on a single car to make it just right, an example being Desmond who has been working on his fpiu for over 2 years. On another note, the fact most people try to slam out as many vehicle releases as possible leads to people acting like motive because it gives people almost instant gratification for new things, and when they're told to wait a bit it makes them cynical.
  8. All peds in GTAV are about 6 feet tall, and the FPIU is 5 feet 8 inches tall, so it would make sense that peds would be taller than the car.
  9. The FPIU isn't that large of a car plus the CVPI is a full size sedan which makes it larger than most people think and not to mention that FH3 CVPI is scaled improperly.
  10. You don't center the dummy to both sides of the alley lights. Instead you have to place the dummy on one side and then els will mirror it to the other side.
  11. If you setup the dummies correctly the alley lights function just fine.
  12. They are out there. Impalas are quite rare, but I've seen a few before.

  16. What he's saying is that if you look closely, you can see that the shape of a caprice rambar is closer to that of say a charger as opposed to a cvpi. Also a 300k poly car is over 4 times that of a default model, and the Rage engine is just not stable enough to handle multiple extremely high poly models. The game will try to save it self by spawning only L1s, but eventually you will see game crashes, or performance loss when multiple cars are spawned, so you may want to go in and do some more poly crunching.
