[WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)
Yes, 5 minutes to switch names and add extras to create another incorrect pattern. Like I said before, an accurate light pattern for the utility at this time is not possible with els or default lighting.

[WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)
Dude like chill out. Some people can't be working on mods at all times during the year, and to be completely honest with you, there is no way to technically "fix" the lights as ELS is far too restrictive and there is currently no script that allows switching carcols on the fly to create light stages. Attaching the spotlights to takedowns would make no sense, since you would lose the corona for the spotlights and they are also controlled independent of the takedowns in the real world.

[TUTORIAL] How to create reflective liveries for your models
On a well optimized model it won't add more than a few thousand polys. A 10+mb car file is probably more like 200k-300k polys, or the L0 is copied for L1-L4 and shouldn't be used in the first place. As long as the modeler is conscious of the model's poly count and uses some common sense adding reflective liveries shouldn't have a major impact on the game performace.

LAPD Ford Police Interceptor Utility (2014) [ELS/NON ELS]
Sorry to break it to you, but you can't have it both ways. You can either suck it up and deal with "dim" lights, which is accurate, or you can edit the window texture in a program like Gimp and remove the window tint, which is inaccurate.

2017 California Highway Patrol Mega Pack - ELS
I don't remember what pattern numbers I changed, but you can just copy and rename the xml for any of the other cars you want to use it for.

Scuds' CA stuff
You do realize he isn't being paid to make these nor does he get any kickback for releasing them today as opposed to when they're finished right? He is in no manner obligated to release anything within a certain time period, and to be honest if this bothers you so much there's always the option of making it yourself.

Scuds' CA stuff
The thing is that quality cars take quite some time to make. Generally speaking, it involves making and texturing your own parts, levels of details (LODs), and fixing random bugs and mistakes. Unlike 99.5% of "vehicle modelers" out there who just slap crap on a car, call it a day, and release a pack of 10 cars every few months, while the few people who make decent cars take months or years on a single car to make it just right, an example being Desmond who has been working on his fpiu for over 2 years. On another note, the fact most people try to slam out as many vehicle releases as possible leads to people acting like motive because it gives people almost instant gratification for new things, and when they're told to wait a bit it makes them cynical.

[WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)
All peds in GTAV are about 6 feet tall, and the FPIU is 5 feet 8 inches tall, so it would make sense that peds would be taller than the car.

[WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)
The FPIU isn't that large of a car plus the CVPI is a full size sedan which makes it larger than most people think and not to mention that FH3 CVPI is scaled improperly.

Why no more non-els vehicles as compared to els?
You don't center the dummy to both sides of the alley lights. Instead you have to place the dummy on one side and then els will mirror it to the other side.

Why no more non-els vehicles as compared to els?
If you setup the dummies correctly the alley lights function just fine.

They are out there. Impalas are quite rare, but I've seen a few before.

Here comes the LAPD Experts
I'm not on the LAPD band wagon, that's what scuderio and desmond are for. This was just a test of the new modules.

Just a test of some new and more accurate Federal Signal S2 modules I made. They're based quite heavily off of KevinDV's and are utilizing his textures.© West Valley Designs

Relax
If it's your opinion, you should say something along the lines of "In my opinion" or "I feel like it wouldn't fit" as opposed to just saying "it doesn't make sense." Correct, only a SAP would have chrome door handles past 1998, and btw @Maurice97 There's some other issues with that base model like the dirt mapping, the high poly count, and maybe some normals. Also the liberty seems to be quite tall and probably should be scaled down a bit. https://www.flickr.com/photos/144126523@N05/33441760815/in/photolist-SX8Lp2-cEDfGQ-e5F3YZ-fufTE8-qQuqsk-djoNUn-r2ucgy-8mfQSb-rbVXA5-an88sC-9hc49K-7pHr25-an88RJ-qy9CBS-6vkHzJ-kCmEWy-9GXioR-m4rU94-826G5j-cTKT9w-WJjYsR-a9Z1xP-9GXibT-aqsMr1-bUx3zg-X5xa53-U3p8f8-VV4rdv-X97z38-7nWSDb-6ToMSG-7nWTJ9-7dNuUZ-TFFgKE-BEAvyg-4VeJ6Z-kCnvYv-7w7mdT-8h1t3e-p8YXoG-fANktL-BHu8v9-kCio1p-a3a5we-6XwAeK-575YDb-dPS2g8-G89SLY-e6aQTG-Rjdu7t

Relax
Not a 2011. It's a 2010. Also why wouldn't it make sense? Sometimes center caps fall off and the department wants to have continuity, but they can't afford a new center cap.

CAPRICE_FLEET_FORCE_PACK V1_0_0 (ELS)
What he's saying is that if you look closely, you can see that the shape of a caprice rambar is closer to that of say a charger as opposed to a cvpi. Also a 300k poly car is over 4 times that of a default model, and the Rage engine is just not stable enough to handle multiple extremely high poly models. The game will try to save it self by spawning only L1s, but eventually you will see game crashes, or performance loss when multiple cars are spawned, so you may want to go in and do some more poly crunching.

@officerwaller just a heads up, for the steadyburns on the edge, the modules should be halogen and not strobe. It takes some work and moving things around, but it looks much nicer in the end, and not to mention more accurate.

GTA5 2017-07-15 10-40-53-78.png
He means the station number next to the flag on the trunk. LAPD only started to add those on the police interceptor sedans and 2016+ police interceptor utilities. Also station numbers range from 01-21 with additional ones like 26 or 41 for traffic divisions and other special units.
