[REL] [WIP] 2008 CVPI LSPD LSSD Unmarked CIVIL

At this point, i'm trying to retexturise interior this is my first work with a zmod3 and modeling programs at all, so it's a realy hard to me to get desired results.

But anyway here what i get at this moment, trunk and floor now have some carpet and my pride - leather dashboard. It's not final version, i need to change color of these textures and of course try to select more appropriate carpet. Funny thing, i called this CV 2008, but dials and dashboard as far as i know from actualy 1999-2003 car version. I'll with a pleasure replace it for neweist if i could. I just don't have a model source and i don't know how to edit dials.

Standard police slot is located in \mods\x64e.rpf\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf

Sheiff is a little more difficult, but now OpenIV support ability to copy original RPF with respect to all subfolders, just find  \update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday3ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf press RMB and click "copy to mods", then open it at \mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday3ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf and change sheriff model. Thats it, but if you want additional car i can't help you, cos i didn't do that before and i don't need to.

Continue to improve visual looking of my car, i spend a lot of time for looking best photos of FedSig Touchmaster Unitrol siren box, but there is no good photos only amature crapy shit filmed by shaking hands on calculator or against the light source in dark room...

Only good photo i've found is touchmaster delta which is absolutley inappropriate in my car cos LAPD doesn't use them By the way it's sound ugly, IMHO. Just look at good proffesional photo example, which the best texture, but not in my case... UTMDMB.jpg.43958b0d5dbef0f46d6c724827c4f

and look what i get after simple modeling and remaping, 2 texture used(defuse and emission), 3 material used for lights, box and for emission layer.

well another good component for my console made from scratch, it's almost fully 3d, but low polly of course. Today i'm was lucky and find good photo of trunktracker III - digital radio scaner, used by police as it can store up to 20 000 chanels, good voice quality, have automatic frequency switching when someone is trying to transmit on "hotshot" frequency which is used only for very important situation such as global announcemet to all units from diffrent departments and dispatches. 56a29b53ec696_UnidenBearcatBCD996XT.thum

So today i just take that photo, work on it a little and start modeling knobs, buttons and remap everything. Very monotone work but worth it, here what i get

That's how it's looks on the console along with touchmaster, it's not final view and console isn't mine i took it in dev section, and just remap a little.

Next what im going to do is actualy get some where or create my self (looks like it) motorola CDM1550 analog radio which is now used as a additional radio station cos digital technology is a future. Good photo source i already have, Only pain in the ass will be wires, i cant model in 3dmax, zmod3 don't have something that would help, but i found solution just swith on verticies level and move each segment though the path. As i said - pain in the ass.

i hate those vertices and welding i played with a shape of CDM almost half a day to gain desired model without any glitches and overloaded polygons. As always fully 3d except holes and screen

Looks really good. Has anyone looked at the latest and greatest apx 7500 mobile or apx 8000 series mobile for the cars? That's what most us police are moving  to dual or all band phase 2 equipment. Many use harris also. Some odd ball agencies are using kenwood and icom nxdn digital radios meant for business due to it being cheaper. But it looks great can't wait to get the update again. Still have it as a added perma slot and will continue to.

I really like the console with a uniden in it as many and I mean many sheriff and small agencies on budgets install digital scanners into units for interop monitoring purposes. Very good work with this.

Well guys looks like i finish my console and even gun rack, only thing is i need to cut default microphone or create it my self for all my radio stations. Place everything into car, adjust as needed and... Hell i don't even wanna think about that - wire up everything. Basicly i need to create 2 microphone wires: one for the siren speaker, second one for the radio. I also thinking about to move laptop a little closer to center of console

2 outlets, 1 gun rack realese lock button, CDM1550, Uniden digital radio scaner, touchmaster unitrol siren box and nice and soft armrest for those who love to turnon bypass mode and play with a siren, also a coffee holder. Everything by the standarts except cup holder, it must be two of them but comon that's fair enough

Without writing a book here getting too technical  lol the scanner just receives. Handy for basic monitoring with budgets for departments that cannot get funded or afford multiple radios in a car. Most general public will use these also to hear. That model you have in console is a digital model which is pretty common though newer models do exist which are more extensive in what they do. Many agencies use scanners to listen to other departments on different setups or officers purchase them on own. California installs them in chp units for the officers as well as some northern cali entities.

The mobiles are 2 way radios. Here in link below you will see different radios some using 45 watt in console models ( full small radio in console) others just heads in console and the actual radio 110 watts in trunk on a electronics deck which the radio is referred to as a brick.

Rather then posting tons of links with trunk setups you can google police trunk electronic trays and see the different setups. 

The apx 09 head will control ac heat, siren, horn to vehicle, headlights, hazards, limited mdt (computer) hot keys, or accessory buttons such as unlocking the gun rack some use a keypad code rather then a hot key that's hidden or basic lock. Most functions are programmed by choice by the agency using it or what's needed so everyone is different. Many detective units have gone to the apx 03 head or similar in older years which is just a mic that is mounted as normal sometimes having a display and cable runs to trunk to the actual radio which you can see in that link what the 03 head mic looks like as it can be concealed in a normal car or truck. The mods I seen here use equipment that is still in use. The radio you put is still used also. But hopefully that link will give ideas for future things you work on if you decide to beef up the trunk and console electronics if your into detail. Some places are basic and just have a radio and switch box nothing more in a police car while others have various different equipment in higher end installs. But hope that gives you and other car mod creators ideas for future things you would like add to your models for realistic look if your into detail. It pretty much varies though everywhere you go.

The console you made is looking really fantastic. Very good work with it and the gun rack.

I ask my self a question what was i do with this areas? Only remap, without of any slicing actions on it. Shape of that grid remaind me texture size, then i open UV and saw that actualy border of the texture is placed in the same place on the dash where grid appear, in other words grid is a border between two tiles. Why am i cross the border? Because i know GTA uses tiling system, where texture has no end it's just repead it self, so that's a good way of placing big object on small but detailed texture. So now i'm stucked, cos i really don't know how to remap whole this panel with correct texture scale on the mesh and without of using extra large 4k files just for some repeating maping. Well here what we got at the moment... And hope someone can help me to resolve this wierd problem

@Azteco Man, this is fantastic. For me as a master electrician and fire-security alarm system specialist it's a realy intersting to know, everything that behind the scene concealed somewhere))) Are you installer? Anyway my personal respect to you, for such a knowledges.

I've found the reasons of this behavior. For a second i thought why leather on the dashboard has no such problems? Then i replaced black plastic with lather material  and got it. Reason was in non standard  size of textures that i clip myself in photoshop. Looks like old school stuff is still remain and expirience since the time when we needed to flip textures before export and carefully watch for size of textures are helping today. So leather texture is 512x512px these proportions are easy to understand for video card, and  that means repeading texture must be equal square size with a errr.... I don't know how to say. Well in short it must be 8>16>32>64>128> 256> 512>1024> 2048 and so on. English is not my first language but i hope you get it. So thats it for today, in a few days when i reclip my textures for plastic and carpet i'll release model and put the things into DEV parts section, so you don't have to rip things from my model.

model is updated check download section. I retexture only driver door, so don't be surprise finding another 3 still in black. I just little feel exausted and i think i need to rest for while

celling and side cover panels are also retextured, rear deck is now covered with carpet same as the trunk.

And i wrap motorola texture on the microphone from touchmaster.

Now it's time to test that car and if everything is good i can split it on many diffrent versions like civil car - of course without interceptor bage, rambar and everything else that relate to police, i try to add more chrome and wood, definitely i will replace steel rims. Unmarked unit same as this one but without lightbars and pushbar with spotlight as extra, and detective -  no prison devider, no gunrack, no laptop, seatbelts on side cover panels, no pushbar and spotlight just one single red beacon light on the roof. Then i can start another project probably taurus cos as far as know f5544 made taurus but as always either made many bugs such as fliping on the turns, i have few thoughts why is that maight happen, but car is locked so thats not my concern. Or maybe i'll try to do dodge charger in previous chassis cos 2015 model is look too futuristic to me, i don't like new fashion i barely can understand Taurus but this... No thank you, some other time. In the future. Haha

And i need to not forget to add balistic panels and badge for it on each front door, so you can hide from bullets behind the door without of risk being shot.

finally i made it and i like that car at all. So before final release i would like to ask someone who expirencied in manking good screenshots and can run gta on hi settings to help me in creating good photosession for release screens, as im not good in photo as you already noticed. And that would be great if some one can write down instruction on how to install car as additional for putting that information into readme, as i'm tired to explain people that i never did that before and i don't need to.

is someone did a real pushbar that protect car from sustaining damage deformation after the push? But i did! Here is the photo after 50km/h relative to the victim target speed, only scrathes not deformation.

Also i encourage some collision issue after improvements: front of a car can collide with other staff , but rear one can be easily walk-through by CJ, i mean Franklin. Resolve of this situation is simple - chassis_dummy must cover every collision part, as i can understand this is something like existed collision search limiter. I started on a add on slot vehicle read me almost done but took a break last night since I haven't had much sleep. Will work more on it later tonight and go through it. Trying to make it pretty fool proof in explaining for anyone that is new.

well accoding to your explanatory in Rage hook revert issue thread about how to go offline and launch game, it should be fine and simple. Of course fools never gone, and they will find a way to mess this up. But thats not our problem, we do not ship brains over the internet.

I'm going to update my CV LX, because hubcaps isn't right choice for car like this. im looking for alloy wheels and now i have two options and need to pick one of them. What do you think guys which one is better?

 Well i also want to implement secondary version with beige interior, seats are little remodeled,  it's already flashed on the screens so this isn't a secreet anywhay. There is still need to work with textures color because it's look unrealisc for now. Thats a real problem to find correct tone because i can check color only in game. Of course i have an idea to make this paintable via trainer using secondary color, in this case everyone can make their own car style.  But i don't think is a good idea because in this case whole town of AI vehicles will be driving in black interior because i don't want to touch carcols or carvariation files.

this the 2003 crown vic lx, except the seats it's perfectly match, i probably change the header on download page on that year. I can't remodel seats to semething like that because i don't have blueprints and without of it my skills are not enough.

For the color of the inside it's not a big problem problem. It's light brown. Have you try with gray color for the leather ?

And for the wheel, it seems like less bigger than the original model
