I've been able to get my CVPI converted and working well, I just have one problem, the wheels. I've tried everything to make them not invisible.. I'm using the original stanier wheels with original materials.

So annoying, there's so many car mods out now. BMW E30s, MX7, Ferrari etc. But no damn Crown Vic! I've seen them on Youtube, perfect working CVPs but no.. Still no damn release.

I don't get it honestly, I know modelers put in work and stuff, but isn't that countering the whole spirit of modding?

You mod for the enjoyment of yourself and the community, not imaginary reputation/points. If there are actual vehicle modders out there withholding their models because they're afraid they won't get imaginary credit for them, then honestly that sucks and they're holding back the modding community

That's no different than Rockstar locking modding out of their game and saying the only way you're going to play is my way.

That is what the arguments have been about the past few days and I, just like most of us, are tired of it. Some of these modelers treat this like this is their job and if they aren't in the spotlight then it is not worth contributing to the community, like how some celebrities become after they gain so much fame. Like you said at the end of the day all this is doing is holding the community back. If they really cared about their work they would release it because at the end of the day if you know you made something then you should be happy whether some person rips it off and puts it somewhere else because A) You can do a takedown request which do work considering one plugin that was released on here a little while ago was put on gtavmods and the author requested a takedown and they took it down. Or B) Just live with it because unless the "owner" completely scratch made the whole vehicle or bought it from a site they don't own it they only converted it and turned it into a police vehicle. 

 

Either way there will be some released soon as there have been some people who have said they will be releasing their models so thumbs up for that. 

You don't get it do you? Do you realize how hard is to mod a car?lt took them hours or even a week to make something just to have other people use it with no care .

Zmodeler isnt free either and you said to "live with it"?
