Since we are nearing the release of LSPDFR and there has been chatter about a few of these things on here since GTA V came out, I figured a proper poll was in order.

ELS: I think that the lights themselves are fine the way they are, but I would enjoy the ability to change the patterns for sure.

ENB: The graphics in GTA:V are fine just the way they are; some enhancements wouldn't hurt, however.

Handling: One thing that I was most definitely disappointed with in GTA:V was the vehicle handling. I feel as if the handling/damage in GTA:IV was far more realistic for sure; some people may disagree with me, however.

FORMER COMMUNITY TEAM

I think that there is great potential for GTA V when it comes to graphic mods.

ELS: The current lights are too dim during the day, and they need more of a bloom.

ENB: The game looks great, but I am sure that's how people felt when GTA IV came out. People still found a way to make it look ten times better.

Handling: The GTA IV handling was more realistic, in my opinion. The GTA V handling is really "arcadey".

I'm fine with the current lights, graphics, and handling. I've barely even modded the game so far, aside from using the trainer with ScriptHook when it came and the Simple Native Trainer recently released.

For lights and graphics - they look good enough, and I'd rather not risk stability/performance to fix something that ain't broke (excuse poor grammar).

For handling - I like GTA V's better than IV's simply because cars don't seem so heavy. Driving a super car actually feels like a super car, and not a tractor trailer.

A mod working like ELS can only look worse than the default lights. GTA V uses pretty much the same technique ELS used in IV, you simply have textures using an emissive material. In V there're the coronas additionally, it seems like they're mostly visible if you are further away, lights are much brighter than they would be without. In IV, lights usually only looked good when you actually were close.
I think it's best if we were able possible to customize the current lights with some mod. All cars would work fine without, but if you want to control certain lights or pattern, you need an additional mod. The look of the lights itself, the textures especially, can be edited anyway. There's already a huge difference between the textures on old gen and current gen consoles/PC.

I don't need any graphics mods currently, simply because right now it feels hard enough to run the game properly, without mods taking even more performance. ENBs with as much tweaks as IV won't help much if the game only runs on lowest settings. I certainly don't mind new timecycles for less fog or more realistic colors, though.

It feels much easier to control cars in V compared to IV, but I don't like the damage system at all. Cars usually end up on top of each other instead of deforming like they did in IV.

^ Agree with Cj.

About the handling, I prefer V over IV if I need to drive. Damage deformation is worse, ok, but those mods around just make it too much. The one thing I hated most of IV's handling is the suspension, all cars feel like boats!! So if we had IV's physics with V's suspensions and some better damage, that would be perfect.

Handling? In V? Never heard of it. I mean, cmon. A Smart climbs a mountain hill. Cars drive over each other. I can make any turn without using my brakes at all. All NFS here. In IV I can feel a vehicle. In V I can't, it simply drives very fast with no unique features like a log on wheels.

I do love how the lights work for sure, but having more control over it would be nice. As far as graphic goes even if there were any ENB-like mods I won't be able to run them, so I pretty much don't care :D

A Smart climbs a mountain hill.

And lowered super cars are better off-road than offroaders..Why are there even offroaders in the game when super cars can do anything?

Yep! Thanks for pointing this out. In IV driving offroad offers some challenge, at least.

Well at least driving off-road with an offroader is still a challenge in V. lol

It's pretty fun to drive through forests and to the top of Mt. Chiliad as a convoy with 3 or more people.

My opinion is that the game world looks fine, and all an ENB would do is de-stabilize this amazing PC port Rockstar gave us (as opposed to GTA IV.) The game looks good enough.

Regarding lights--The game is really finicky about the bloom on police cars. When I lowered my graphics settings from high/very high to just high, it seems like the bloom went up and the graphics actually improved. It seems like there is this balance of settings that makes the game look the best, and it is not max settings. I would support a mod the increased bloom on cop cars as long as it does not impact other things in the game (changing bloom in GTA IV made the signs on top of taxis and other things become really bright and fuzzy.) Different light modes would be fine.

Some people like the more-realistic (Is it though?) handling in GTA IV over the improved vehicle handling in GTA V. I like GTA V's handling much better, as for the purposes of a game, you want cars driving like cars and not boats.
