The Final Countdown - LSPDFR Trailer 2

What I showed wasn't just replacing textures, it was a whole different map.

For the last time, I am talking about adding stuff. Like another town or something

People are going to find any excuse to argue with you so don't even bother responding.

"I love you all, and that's why we don't get caught doing naughty things!" - GTA V Heist Dude.

I don't you understand, he wants to know if it's possible to add more mapping to the original, think, adding north yankton to the side of the original map without the need of being loaded.

He was saying he's not talking about textures but about adding a map. And the link I sent wasn't a texture. Well, it didn't expand the map, but it did replace it.

But it's getting very off-topic.

Well I'm excited to hear an update, but I guess with all the problems Sam mentioned we probably won't be seeing it this week, which is fine I guess, take your time!

I decided to buy GTA:IV and download lcpdfr just to pass the time

Help my channel grow and I can explain to my wife why this addiction to coding is a good thing!

Man, a month of development by two guys with amazing talent who refuse to sleep. I can't even imagine what LSPDFR will be like, I think we'll all be surprised. And this is just the first release, what will come in later versions? A perfect police simulator? Can't wait

May be a bit out of porportion but I guess the saying "Rome was not built in a day" fits pretty well...

I dont mind waiting at all for a release. Atleast I know it will be stable and most likely very worth the wait :-) (Also I know my profile is pretty new, but I have been paying attention to this mod since the first teaser/trailer release)

Everything LSPDFR related that has been released so far regarding information and screenshots have looked awesome!

The mod will obviously grow into something massive, but don't expect too much from the first release.

The first release will probably be like LCPDFR, but 2 or 3 times better in every way. I'm going to stay optimistic and keep the hype train moving

I think the biggest thing is going to be how much more stable V is than IV.  Constant crashing doesn't make for a fun game, I know for me at least (with a pretty beasty PC) IV was almost unplayable with more than just ELS and LCPD:FR installed.  Hell the base game itself barely ran.

I agree. Putting that and custom cars was always a challenge. I am pretty pumped, i continue to check daily.

Agreed. I never really cared for GTA 4 since I couldn't run it for more than 20 minutes when I had mods installed (And I only had a trainer and LCPDFR, so it really shows how bad GTA 4's port is). I have 15 or so mods for GTA 5 installed and I haven't crashed at all yet

thats why im so hyped since the first announcement. fucking IV man. Sam said weeks before that V's engine is WAY MORE stable than IV ever was, and that simple fact keeps my hopes high.

One thing I will say though is the devs created this hype themselves

Don't say Final countdown, and first public release fast approaches if it's actually like a month away lol, should have just not said anything :P

This is why a release date will never be given.  When we wake up, we don't know what unforeseen problems are in store for us on that day.  All I can say is that it has been a little over a week since what I promised would be the final trailer.  The banner at the top still, in typical Sam fashion, still has the branding of a 'final countdown'.  If I didn't believe that, I wouldn't keep it up there.  I understand that people might be disappointed, but I suspect that this disappointment would be multiplied by a few billion if after the 'long' wait (a month and a bit), every time you tried to get into a chase in LSPDFR, your game ran at 10 FPS, and even if you could somehow cope with that, you had better hope you didn't encounter any backup units during that pursuit as if you did, you could forget about any notion of your suspect remaining alive for more than five seconds after.  This is just some of the stuff we have to deal with.  Let's try not to add the grief of a small number of people on here to that list.

It still is the final countdown, and the first public release is fast approaching. The problem is that no one knows when exactly that will be - not even Sam himself.
