I decided to buy GTA:IV and download lcpdfr just to pass the time 

I am doing the same. I hope I have the skills to install everything.

I'm sure it makes it much easier for the team to develop this mod but does anybody else get the impression that Rockstar took a lot of the ideas from the modding community in GTA 4 to put in GTA 5? Between tasers  flashlights, first person mode, the police PR24 baton, ELS style LED emergency lights, and the better pursuit driving it seems like it. Will LSPDFR tone down the damage of the Taser so it doesn't kill most anybody with one hit?

​Can't tell you about the Xbox One Controller, but since the Xbox One didn't exist back when GTA IV was around, it'd be a safe bet to go with the 360 controller, that is the one I use for GTA IV/LCPDFR. Shouldn't be any issues passing onto LSPDFR/GTA V I wouldn't think.

They both use Xinput, so it doesn't really matter. I would go Xbox 360, since it's probably cheaper. And make sure you buy one for Windows, not a console one

Xbox 360 has only worked with the wired version that I'm aware of. But I have used third party 360 wired controllers with no problem (Mad Catz, GameStop, etc) if you want to hate your life with garbage made cheaper controllers haha

That's odd, my controller is wireless and it works. It's kinda dumb though, because I have to plug in a USB wireless adapter for the controller to work wirelessly :P

​At least Rockstar North listen to their fans. Even with Rockstar NY &/or TakeTwo putting deadlines and budgets on their work, they still try to make a game for the gamers, not the shareholders.
