The Final Countdown - LSPDFR Trailer 2

Featured Replies

Great trailer! How exactly did you guys pull off a stable LSPDFR mod so quickly? Not to be critical, but compared to LCPDFR releases, the turnaround from GTA V's release a little over a month ago to being about to release LSPDFR is blazingly fast. I assume the answer is just that the team has not gotten much sleep since GTA V's release.

Also, maybe it is just great editing work (or a trainer? ) but the animations and overall mechanics (arrests, pursuits, etc.) look leaps and bounds better than we got for GTA IV.

I'm guessing just experience. LCPDFR started out as just a way to have a cop skin and call for backup, and evolved into what it is now. LSPDFR doesn't have to go through that process since Sam (kind of) knows what he's doing now.

He does?

Great job guys, and we all appreciate the work.

The reason i wasn't excited about the trailer is that I knew that we would probably be able to pull people over, do pursuits, and a lot of what police officers do, but I was curious for example about the number of different types of calls that would be available, stuff that we obviously can't know from a trailer.

If all goes to plan, it might be our own LMS' turn to take the spotlight for once - I expect, if as I say, it does go to plan, he'll have some exciting things to share about that.

Ah, great. Are you the one that is coding most of the functions of what police can do, (like coding so that we can pull people over, ask them for id, etc) while he is focusing on actual "events" or "situations"?

Basically the way it works is I do the stuff which is more visual to the user, while LMS works on integrating things, making parts of the mod work with each other and adding some advanced background stuff.  A good way to think of it is without LMS, the mod would have some cool stuff as far as features are concerned, but it wouldn't work!  Without my stuff, the mod would work, but it might not be very fun, realistic or interesting.

So I am guessing this will be the topic everyone is going to be posting on now lol. Thanks Sam, it's looking great! I love the trainer skills you have ;)

The one thing that has me pumped is the arresting animations and such. How they can be different and not so robotic. Like the scene with the cop arresting that woman standing up...he was taking a bit longer and it wasn't constant like in IV. Then you have the jet they just blows the shit out of a car that was hacks lol. Let's not forget the garage with all the cars, that looks pretty awesome. But the one thing that was really important to me was how the police cars actually lined up behind each other and followed each other in pursuits. That's all I ever wanted.

My special thanks to Sam and all the other talented insomniacs!!

What about the coffee? How could you forget such an important feature?

Thank you the entire team though... This mod is not even released yet and already rocks! Keep up the good work!

Can't... Stop... Mashing... Refresh button...

Now... I can't... Stop mashing... The replay button...

Good work guys! But seriously--it's 3 AM local time. Go to bed.

I really like what I see in the trailer as it all seems stable and smooth from the looks of it. Taking GTA V as a clean slate, I would say new features and callouts are definitely cool, but stability should be the goal. If you played LCPDFR in GTA IV, after ELS and ENBs and PoliceHelper and new callout scripts, vehicles, etc. the game gets really unstable. I think we should take it one step at a time. I never expected LSPDFR so quick. I know people can't wait for new things for GTA V but let's make sure it's stable first.
