​That is very sweet indeed, with this just imagine the kind of "total conversion" mods for GTA V we could get. I'd love to see all kinds of mods being made in the GTA V world + engine. LCPD:FR could technically be considered a whole game of it's own with this kind of mod.

As an extension of this, i'd like to see a whole spectrum of career-based mods; if you get tired of being a cop in LSPDFR, just play as a medic or fireman instead. Still not satisfied? mods that let you be a pilot, truck driver, soldier, janitor, FIB/IAA agent, gangsta, farmer, prison guard and much more would be amazing. And putting that in Online dedicated servers would be gaming Nirvana.

​Sam said that they'd release another video and then LSPDFR itself. No dates were given, but my guess is that they'll post the video next week and then release LSPDFR in early June. June isn't that far away, so let's keep the hype alive! WOO!!!

Also, if GTA Online really becomes an issue with trying to play LSPDFR online with clans, we can always go back to the very very old school of gaming. That is, message forums like this one where you can post shift reports and arrest reports and stuff.

 

Not as great as being in direct communication with your friends online and being able to actually physically help one another if needed, but it's still something to build a community around. I'm curious to know why Rockstar doesn't just make it like the old GTA IV online (No, not the horrendous stability issues) in terms of you could only join a session with someone who had the same mods, or else you'd be kicked from the host's session. I just came from a GTA Online private session with a friend, where only myself and my friend were connected to one another and no one else could join. If we both had LSPDFR installed, what would stop us from playing online other than Rockstar's extreme anti-modding stance? If we tried to connect to anything but a session created by one another I think the best solution would be just kicking us from public play, yet allow us our private sessions just as they have it now.

this is going to be awesome.

I'm excited to get my patrol on and check out all the features. Honestly, every update the mod gets is going to make the game even better. I knew this community would find a way to do it.

Looking forward to LSPD:FR, my GTA experience wouldn't have been as great if I had never come across LCPD:FR. Thanks to all the developers and members that contribute their own time and money to make these modifications possible for the community. Your hard work is appreciated.

As it has been said before, there will most probably be a computer and it doesnt matter if R* added one to the game because the one in LCPDFR was part of the mod.

​This would require editing the models directly, which is not possible just yet. I highly doubt that Sam and LMS are going to directly add computer models to every police vehicle in the game anyway, though.

If you die with a model other than one of the player models, the Native Trainer will turn you back into Micheal. But how will LSPDFR manage that?

​I'm pretty sure this was done to avoid a crash or something.

I guess the mod might spawn you again with your skin after the Hospital animation.

It should be noted that just because Native Trainer does something, it doesn't mean we'll do it the same way.  LSPDFR isn't tied to Native Trainer.
